Can a christian battle with demons?

Many people do not believe that demons exist. Many don't think that they encounter them. If you have ever come in contact with the occult, mediums, tarot cards. Given way to rebelling against the Holy Spirit and doing things your own way... you have opened a door giving the enemy a foothold to cause some very serious diversions in your walk. Let me give you an example; is your mind continually fixed and set on the things above? Or does it wander on the things that are unhealthy spiritually? Please keep in mind it is a process for the Holy Spirit to renew our minds, but we must learn to identfy the onslaughts of the enemy.

The reason why I'am writing this is because I believe we are living in perilous times, brothers and sisters! Many believers have fallen asleep :sleep: Many are not aware of the dangers we are facing, it is no bed of roses out here. But by the Spirit who enables us we can do what the Lord needs us to do. The enemy can put thoughts into your mind, but he can not read your mind. Only the Lord knows all the thoughts and purposes of the heart. If we give into the thoughts that are not of the Lord, the thoughts that are unclean and defiled( sexual thoughts) (alcohol, drugs) your feelings are going to be followed by those thoughts. Therefore in turn, can possibly be acted upon.

These are apart of the demonic activity I' am talking about. If God is not putting the thoughts there....Who is? There is so much more we need to understand about God and His ways, more than just going to church two times or more a week. He is looking for a Holy generation of believers. Those who will be completely sold out to Him....OVERCOMERS!!!! We must abide in Him daily, please read John 15. As we abide in Him, He begins to prune away all those things that are not of Him. Sending us on that journey of transformation to be more like Him!

:rose: I believe as with Job, that God can even punish those He loves, by allowing demons to battle us. We show our spirits by remaining firm in His love. I have been battling demons for the last 18 years and only now has God given me reprieve.
Satan is a loser and nothing, a twit, a piece of nothing and condemned by the Lord our God. If we do battle, always remember that God is infinitely stronger.

Ok, I know Im not going to win popularity votes by sharing my past with you people, but Its for a good cause so here it goes. Satan is REAL, demons are REAL. O know because I WAS involved with the Occult, i have seen, felt them so many times It just cannot be true that they dont exist. They have enormous power, that is true. LANITHRO commands the air and can do and most likely did do what you have seen in the USA regarding hurricanes etc. They can do very impressive things, and are NOT to be underestimated, or toyed with, BUT and heres the big BUT (pun intended lol). For all of Satans power, he is a destructive power, he is a spiritual black hole, cannot CREATE, thus he needs the power of CREATION to exist, he is limited only to destruction, and he feeds on himself in the end anyway, so GOD'S power is greater, it is overwhelming and envelopes everything, the power of creation is the strongest there is and ONLY GOD has it and as long as you are with GOD then he can protect you with that power. BUT (heres that but again lol), you need to believe in that power, have you ever seen in sports, how the weaker side overcomes the better, more talented team? Why? Because of belief, because they work tirelessly. Satan has his Marching Hordes (I dont mean to scare you, but this is reality and its not going to benefit you hiding from it) all over the world, they are governed by Principalities that control towns, cities, provinces, then countries. It is so well organised and it is aimed at YOU! When you are born you are immediately bombarded with demons that are assigned to you for the rest of your life, you simply cannot beat them, they are too fast, too smart, too organised and too many. But thankfully we have God protecting us, he gives us the authority to stand up to them and to protect ourselves, each other, and our affairs. It is written that you are given authority over all things, including Angels! Thats some honour! I can also tell you that only BORN AGAIN christians can do this. All other christians have been crushed in horrible ways, I have seen this too so many times, the head of the Catholics are Illuminati members! The Vatican is actually in the shape of the New World Order logo (from birds eye view). I must also warn you, learn your scriptures!!!!!!! I cannot ennforce this enough. Alot of christians may view satanists as wayward idiots. However, Satan draws the intellectuals to him, they are useful, the strongest get elevated in the army of Satan and rest are 'discarded'. The ones who progress know the bible inside out and if you dont know your stuff they will have a field day with you! lol, thanks. I agree the focus needs to be on Jesus, I dont recommend getting deep into Satans work anyway, God warns you from doing so, it is actually very alluring and dangerous. But at the same time there is a battle raging on that needs to be fought ferociously.

Just some food for thought. There is a guy that I know of, he was a member of the Illuminati, when he was initiated into it he was was initiated by Satan himself. Anyway he had numerous encounters with Satan, and from person experience he saw how limited Satan was. He in his own words said that a 5 year old girl who knows who she is in Christ can toss him around the room like a ping-pong ball. He whole heartedly dispises the fact that there is more power in one drop of Jesus blood than there is in him and all his legions put together. That authority is passed down to us. He can only work with the space that you give him, he waits for an opportunity to be effective from our own mistakes, thats how limited he is and when he does attack, God has given us the tools to drive him away, and he will flee! He has to. So I thought this might make some people feel better. The guys name Is Schnoebelen, hes actually written a book about his experiences I suggest you check it out.

I agree with all of you, I cannot say it much bettter. I have seen satan fall when God's powerful people pray. I have felt satan attack at night, only to rebuke and plead the blood until that demon goes. he tries different things. Like Joyce Meyer says new level, new devil. I can personally vouch for that. :shade:

HI, I wanted to share an experience I had at a time of tremendous spiritual growth, Yes I was visited by a demon. God awoke me and told me to lock my doors. I then encountered a terrible smell and sensation. The demon was putting thoughts in my mind that I would never have or entertain. I began to shout I belong to Jesus, I belong to Jesus. I kept this up for some time, and the demon left. Praise Jesus He has all the power. I must have been in a place to upset satans plan somewhere. Anyway I am grateful that I was rescued from that situation

On a cautionary note.
One ''clever'' trick satan has is to get people; especially Christians, into questioning themselves, the things that point to satan, happenings to friends, even bible study into what or what is not evil or satanic.

We as a couple had for some time meetings in our house. Over time we had a ex! druggy who wanted to have an experience in Christ that gave him a buzz like drugs.
We had two visiting Africans who told us that there were things going on in part of the school at home that were satanic.
A visitor was into casting out the demons as he was speaking or giving a testimony etc. (Weird one that )
I also about that time had some tapes of ministry which exposed evil in particular areas of the world & curcumstances. At least I would listen to some of those & than some praise & worship to keep me on track.
This was all in about a year. So initially I started checking the bible but probable meditatied on the happenings but not the Word.
Please bear this in mind.
