I like John Barnett a lot. He is one of the very few teachers I watch on "youtube", but I do not agree with everything he says, but almost! I wish he would have answered the question if someone could be "born again" from birth, which I do not believe.
What he Is saying is that God Has worked in a very few individuals in history in that way. Two or three -- everyone Else is born Again after they have been born physically. Because That is what Scripture says.

I not impressed with his teaching that God is going to destroy the entire universe, what he calls "the atomic annihilation of the universe." Sorry but he's wrong!
I've heard it a hundred times and pretty tired of hearing it, "you can't put God in a box."
That's right, but man will....and WOW! Does he ever!
I often say to myself, "what has happened to common sense among Christians these days." High powered - high profile - highly educated people believe and teach such preposterous absurdities and the problem is so many people believe it. They think that since these 'teachers' are more educated - they're the ones that know! All it does is deceive people. Examples in just the last week.
1. God will accidentally kill innocent people when he raptures His elect.
2. Noah put the dinosaurs on the ark.
3. God will dissolve the universe.
It's like there's isn't any more wisdom or common sense, and the foolishness seems like it's never going to stop.
@saginon -- the part of your comment about those "people believe and teach such preposterous absurdities" and "that so many people believe it" --- maybe you could expound a bit on that in the three subject areas you listed.
At first I was agree with your comments -- but then I was rereading all of it. So -- what exactly Are you saying regarding those three areas.

We've already had this discussion. It's preposterous to even suggest God is that sloppy and reckless. AGAIN! In the twinkling of an eye DOES NOT mean 'all at once!'
2. Noah put the dinosaurs on the ark.
The real reason behind this is that Atheist, who are typically smarter than the average Christian, (like it or not) have used common sense scientific data to prove evolution - and the (fact) that Dino existed millions of years in the past. (Which may or may not be true) Because of that, creation scientist were unable to counter their 'facts' so they moved Dino into the creation process of the time-frame of Adam and Eve and as a result made a fool of themselves because nearly ALL scientist today (who don't have a Christian bias) know it's actually impossible for Dino to even be around during the time of Adam and Eve!
3. God will dissolve the universe.
This one is a rea winner! These 'highly educated' highly influential teachers have no clue - and have no hermeneutic. They base this absurdity on their understanding/interpretation of the word 'heavens' which really isn't that difficult to understand. To cut this short all I can tell you is that the context of those verse whether in Psalms or 2 Peter is the EARTH, therefore the 'heavens' is the atmosphere - clouds - etc.
It is an absolute abomination to interpret any of those verses claiming God would destroy his entire creation - the universe - at the time the earth is done with. Sorry, but that teaching is absolutely foolish and makes God look like His entire creation is a failure.
I've already had several discussions on various topics with other posters. You've said that you know me from other Forums and that I won't back down. Well -- on important subjects -- you're right. God's Word IS God's Word.
Mankind / us/ are the one's who tend to Be sloppy and reckless. And AGAIN -- 'in the twinkling of an eye' DOES mean 'all at once'. WE simply need to be Ready --- maybe the reason that some folk Want it to be 'slow' is so that as 'we' actually see it happening -- 'we' will be able to change our mind and accept Jesus Christ as our own Savior. so that while the process Is taking place, 'we' can be with them After all.
The book of Revelation says what it says. An abomination is something that God hates. That which God Does hate is homosexuality. And He probably also hates / strongly dislikes the influence that satan has on people's minds / hearts.
You used the term 'hermeneutic' maybe you should look up the term. I just did. It deals with the method of interpreting God's Word as a whole. The term 'heavens' does mean the various stages above the earths' atmosphere. 1st stage of heaven is right above us, second is up farther and Bible even mentions the 3rd heaven. And the 'earth' is just plain old earth where 'we' live.
Well -- God Hasn't destroyed His own creation -- Sin has. And all because of that bit of the fruit of the knowledge of both good and evil that God specifically told Eve Not to even Touch. So -- we have ourselves to blame.
God Did destroy His creation by the world-wide flood -- He Did save some of every kind of animal and Noah and his family because they were the only righteous people left here. And He Also promised to never Do that again.
God has Also provided the One and Only Savior for us. Jesus Christ. The blood of the cross of Christ. And His bodily resurrection from the dead. So -- we 'now' have a Risen Savior.
What is your knowledge of the 'average' Christian based on. Atheists are simply people who don't accept the existence of the God who's put everything 'here'. They do not recognize that their brains are from God.
Well -- hate to tell you -- but Creation says that the dinosour was created at the same time as all the rest of the land animals. No other way they could have gotten 'here'.

If you want to believe that when Jesus returns he's reckless and kills people in the aftermath of removing believers, have at it!
If you want to believe "in the twinkling of an eye" means "all at once" - have at it.
If you want to believe dinosaurs were created and roamed the earth with Adam and Eve while there is no - ZERO evidence of them even being on earth at that time, have at it!
If you want to believe God is going to destroy the universe when the earh has run its course, have at it.
Gods' Word tells us that those who've accepted Jesus Christ as person Savior Will Be taken up when Jesus Christ comes In the Air -- that trumpet sound Will take place. That being called the Rapture of the Church / Bride of Christ.
Those who are left behind -- well -- God will not have killed Anyone. 'we' / ourselves / are pretty good at causing our Own havoc and killing each other. 'we' are committing mass shootings, 'we' are murdering thousands of babies via abortions. ''we' kill each other every day. Are our prisons and jail over-crowded because we're such nice people towards each other?!
You Are aware of the gang violence in this country , right?!
God has already provided His answer for Our human mess -- the cross of Christ / His shed blood.

Thank you for your permission to 'have at it'.
I love the --well-- part, as though it's legit that God would be reckless and kill unbelievers.
Mass shootings are committed by mass shooters. The act of abortion kills babies. Prisons are full of criminals. Gang violence is cause by gangs. They are all EVIL acts.
If God commits an evil act and kills people in the process of a rapture it's God that's responsible, not us. I would want nothing to do with a reckless God like that who says He loves believer and unbeliever alike.
You seem to be happy that God would kill people.
Well --you Do realize that Everyone has the opportunity To accept Christ and be part Of that group being raptured up. No one Has to Be 'left behind'. That's Our Choice. Not God's fault.
The 'act of' abortion -- unless it's a miscarriage -- is caused by People. The pregnant woman is Allowing it and the Dr's doing it are murdering unborn and very alive babies. Very alive babies' because lots of times , women go into early labor and give birth to very little babies who are very capable of surviving at the very stages that Other babies' have been aborted at.
Yes, all those Evil acts are being done by People. God's is Not Making anyone do those things. You know -- the Ten Commandments and such.
You are the one accusing God of being reckless -- which He isn't. Remember John 3:16 "For God so loved the WORLD / the world consists of People / All people , that He gave His Son .... that who so ever believeth. ..... everlasting life. " with Him in heaven. He Wants everyone To accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior -- but He Also knows that lots of people Won't. Our Individual Choice -- Not God's fault.
No -- but I Am thankful that He's provided salvation for Everyone and that I'm one of those 'everyone's'. Are You?

Why would God kill ppl with the rapture? After the rapture there's revival, according to the dream of Ken Peters and the ones that noone could count in Revelations. Whole cities got saved.
Then after that, when they kill the christians and keep rejecting Him, the plagues come.
In 1980, Ken Peters had a long, detailed dream about the coming tribulation period. This article provides the transcript and video of his amazing testimony. I took the liberty of moving a few of his comments to organize them by topic so the transcript is not exactly the same as the video. Today...

So what you're saying is people will turn to God because He killed people in the aftermath of a rapture? You'll never convince me of that! God will NOT accidentally kill anybody when he raptures people at the 7th Trump -TOWARD THE END OF TRIBULATION.
There's no need for prophets today, and I don't accept people like Ken Peters as prophets. Prophets are no longer necessary and anybody who claims to be one is a false prophet. (That's for another thread.)
We all endure the tribulation. There's not one verse that says we are exempt from it. However, plenty of pre-tribbers have fabricated some!

No I'm saying that He won't kill people with the pretrib rapture. It doesn't matter to me if someone believes pre, post or midtrib and if there is no pretrib, no problem. There are even ppl who say there are 3 or 5 raptures.
Ken Peters doesnt believe pretrib. He only saw the dead rise. He got a dream through which he got saved and he doesn't share it anymore, because ppl don't believe it or get mad.

Pre-trib has a host of issues. One of them being that when it DOESN'T happen and believers are still here, it will mislead them to believe we are not in tribulation and the anti-Christ is not yet revealed. Tribulation will help purify the church and strengthen believers - as well as bring many to Christ.

I believe the trib will purify the believers who weren't purified already and get Israel saved and those from the world who want to. It's called the day of Jacob's trouble. Jacob is Israel before he wrestled with God and changed.
The faithful church, Philadelphia, will be kept from it.
Because you have kept [a]My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.11 [b]Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.
