Cartoon Nudity

It's bad enough we have nudity every where else but does it have to be in our cartoons as well? It has been since cartoons have been around. Sure mostly it's someone's rear end but there are several occasions they have shown genitalia, usually in children, which brings up another point. It's bad enough there is nudity in the cartoons but why does it have to be children.

In addition is it moral to show child nude, even it isn't improper? Back in the 50's a bill was signed allowing appropriate nudity of children in media, such as new, National Geographic magazines and shows, movies, and even on web site featuring nudists. It is bad enough they allow it shown as adult but showing children crosses a line. But then again they are not posting it for perverse reasons so it crossing the line? It usually comes in an informative way, except the nudist websites which are there just to show the nude children, which is perverse. But look at the famous photo of the nude child during WWII in Hiroshima running for her life after the bomb went off.

So my question is, is there any context in which is appropriate, and is there any context in which it is shown today that is inappropriate? Such as showing a 5 year old boy in cartoon waving his around in his front of his friends for fun.

I hope this post isn't breaking any guidelines, this is a very serious topic that needs discussed and needs resolved, if only there were a way to stop it.

I just thought of another good point, nude children in art. Is it really art? Throughout the years many magazines have printed nude pictures of children saying it art or fashion or how about the famous photographer Jacques Bourboulon who photographed nude teens in the 70's and his daughter at age 11 was the youngest girl to ever be a playboy centerfold in 78.

Remember the coppertone toddler showing the tanline? When I was a kid I saw a cartoon where the dad bear pulled down the back of baby bears butt to spank him, I just remeber thinking bear butt.

When we have a new baby, that is one of the first things a parent does is admire the beauty and perfection in that little naked body. However, there will always be a perv filled with demonic presence somewhere to destroy the innocence of a child. As far as the photographer taking pics of nude teens, he knows where his heart was. God is aware of all things, good and evil. There are pictures of children with l no nudity that provoke some sick minded individuals.

There are actually discount stores that refuse to print pictures of obviously healthy snapshots of babies and toddlers because of the nudity. There have been cases where store employees turned over names and addresses of parents to children's services.

Is the question is it art or beauty, is it a violation of some sort....all in the eye of the onlooker I guess. Where are their minds and hearts?

It's not art, I believe, it's a shame; such a cartoon or so called art doesn't contribute in humanity civilization at all; I believe art is a lot more important and superior than nudity in cartoon works or academic figures.

It's not art, it's degrading. Thinks kept private should be just that, kept private. It's worse when it's done to children. I agree with everything said here. Child porn is a booming business. God weeps, as our children are raped and molested and put into the sex industry.

Cartoon nudity hmmmmm.
There was a pastor who in this diner started to draw a nude picture of a woman on a napkin to show me this is how he shares with an overhead in his church. I told him as he was drawing the ends does not justify the means that what he was doing was wrong. So as he continued to draw I got up and left him there all alone. He has since resigned from his church.

The word porno ñêà comes from the old days.
Where they did not have newspapers cameras or what not.
All they had was tablets, or napkins heh heh, that they drew pictures of either nude men woman or children on them.

OH OK sorry lol... "so callled" artists I don't think should be taking pictures of nude children..

and what a cartoon showing a naked a child, or even the child's genitalia such as the show Shin Chan, a five year old boy is always waving his dingus around in his little sisters face or in front of his friends doing what he calls the elephant dance, or on the simpons movie when they showed 8 year old Bart's privates or even the shots of bare bottoms that have become oh so common.

We live in a terrible world today. I will get back to that in a bit.

My mother tells me that when I was two or three years old I would strip off my clothes and go running around. I do not remember this, but I saw my own children do the same. My little girl used to get out of the bath when she was about three and sit in a small trash can we had in the living room and cover her head up with a towel and peek out from under it and throw a fit when it was time to get dressed.

So no there is not a thing wrong with child nudity or cartoon nudity, in the natural sense of common sense.

But like I say, we live in a terrible world, so it is best to not promote or allow nude cartoons, or child nudity in public, simply because it is not the nudity itself that is the problem but the many forms of sin itself that surround it.

Thank you Kit that makes perfect sense, in fact there was a tim when nude children and adult, together or separate, where used in art and no I am sure thought anything of it, but that does raise another question. Is art just an early for of pornography? They painted them nude for some reason. The reason I can really for someone painting or photography a nude adult or child is for arousal

You could be right. Just something I guess I never have considered. I could say you are right, just based on the fact that when original sin came about we were instantly ashamed of our nudity. So I would think in the modern world, that a nude photo or cartoon, although innocent to most ordinary people most likely does have a hidden agenda at some point.

Things like cupid the baby who shots the arrows I think are pretty innocent, but a cartoon that shows genitalia or some such, I would have to question.


And back when they did the nude paintings, we did not have photography and computers and all the things we have today, so maybe so.

Where would bugs bunny draw the line no wait a sec I meant where would God draw the line in the sand no wait a sec again where would the Lord Jesus, who is God, draw the line in the sand as to ones personal family experience in contrary to the sharing of that children cartoon nudity with others!?

PS. As a form of Art it dont cut it! I went to art in school and in the sense if someone would want to say its art its not. Its just downright pornography, pornea!

I am sure Jesus would say no to all of it. Adults or children nude in cartoons or art. Especially children for the bible says children have a special place in God's heart and I believe that those who do any harm to children suffer severe consequences.

You talked about some kid running for her life in WW2, well that was a different situation but the one quoted above is not appropriate at all.
It may start off as something funny but kids want to explore more and they eventually get into porn. there's nothing much we can do though media is everywhere.
