Chatroom

Does anybody else, other than myself, have problems entering the chatroom?

I have just tried and the message that has come up is that I have the wrong web browser.

Any ideas please!

I use firefox browser and it is the one that is recommended. I am sorry you are having troubles getting in there as I am there a lot of the time I am online.

What web browser are you using sister?

I have got absolutely NO idea which web browser I am using.

I am using whatever was installed in my computer when I got it!!!!!!!

This is definitely where my computer skills fail because I have no idea how to get the firefox browser!!!

You will be using internet explorer then. That is the one we get with a pc.

Firefox if you type it in google look for mozilla firefox and then you can download it. I like it as it stops a lot of annoying pop ups too.

Right, now I have a better idea of what you mean. I am using Mozilla because a friend installed that for me (but I didn't know that it was called a web browser).

So do I type in Firefox or Mozilla Firefox into Google?

Ok not sure why you have mozilla and not able to get in chatroom.

Mozilla.com is the site for firefox 2 which is the latest one available. I get notified when updates are available for firefox. I do not use thunderbird for email.

You might get confused if you google for it. Look for mozilla.com or type it in.

Hope you get into chatroom too.

I have replied to you via an email now to explain it clearer to you hopefully sister. Certain things are not allowed to be typed in here as explained in the rules but I hope you will have some success now.

Thank you for the e-mail. All I had done was quoted your two sentences:

" You might get ... type it in."

When I submitted it, the message came up that I had broken a rule.

Sorry - Do you honestly think that it was deliberate when I had only quoted your post?

All I am trying to do is to get into the chatroom - nothing else!

Well, I have just tried to download it and Mozilla doesn't know what to do with the file - and neither do I!!

So that's that.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to go into the chatroom.

Am I the only person in this situation or does this happen often?

Feeling frustrated for you too. I was looking forward to chatting with you.
Its possible others have the problem. I usually save the file and then have to install the programme once it is on my pc.

Sometimes it gets saved to desktop and then I go to desktop and find it to install it. That is usually a step by step clicking on next each time till it is done.

I logged on this morning, really hoping that somebody would have been able to provide another way to enter the chatroom.

Feel very disappointed.

Can not believe that I am not going to be allowed to use the chatroom.

Well, that was then and this is now.

I am still waiting for somebody to suggest a way to get into the chatroom.

I really want to speak to someone. I am feeling very distressed and don't know what to do.

When I try to go into the chatroom, I get a message, download error.

I do not understand why you are getting that error dear sister. I do wish I could help you. I take it you are downloading it by following the instructions. Seems odd that you get download error. I wish you had a yahoo account then we could chat there.

Yes, I am following the instructions and I have tried it several times.

I feel totally broken - not just about not being able to get into the chatroom. I am sitting here sobbing. I just wanted to speak to a Christian.

Where do I find a Christian to talk to?

Could you load and get yahoo messenger. We could chat there then sister.

It is a good one when it does not crash on me.

You can download it and choose a user name.

Hi sister Sadeyes, I was away for the weekend, but I may be able to help you.

#Please click on this link below:
http://ftp-mozilla.netscape.com/pub...2.0.0.3/win32/en-US/Firefox Setup 2.0.0.3.exe

#You should be prompted to open the file. Click the option to open the file.

#After it has opened, click the options to install the software, click next next next and so forth untill the software is installed.

#After you installed it, please click on the program, it is an orange fox that looks like a spiral.

When Firefox is open, type in at the top www.talkjesus.com

After completing the steps to install Adobe Flash Player, you should be able to enter chat.

Close the Flash Player Window, after installation is succesful and click on the chat icon on the main index.
