Children Sexually Tortured

I haven't said anything about science.

Do you think I'm a atheist, well no. They are worse than Christians, because they protect the value of love without any scientific evidence and at the same time disparage the value of faith with the same lack of evidence.

No I'm not one of those people.
I never said you were an atheist. But your constant posting, questioning the value and intent of the bible and christianity takes on the same tack as an atheist and in your response, you specifically state "without scientific evidence" showing you value it highly.

So you know the truth, but I can't understand the truth until Jesus opens my eyes to the truth. But why don't you explain it to me as a child, since you know what truth is surely you can define it other than saying Jesus. It is something right? Not just a feeling you get, it is something you actually understand and can demonstrate verbally.
Maybe you are looking in the wrong place and/or in the wrong way.

The truth is in our hearts or it is not. How does it get there? Brad mentioned the need to be as a child and you mentioned it, but what does that mean? You are no longer a child in mind or in body. How do you get there from here? The only road is God's road. Jesus describes it one way here:

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Matt 11:28-30

Now that is either crystal clear or it is clear as mud or it is somewhere in between. The key is in the first three words: "Come unto me".

How do you come? How do receive what Jesus has for us? Then "as a little child" he says,

"Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein." Luke 18:17

Children are born very innocent but selfish. In the beginning their selfishness is innocent and is their means of self-preservation. They need to eat, but they cannot feed themselves. They need to be kept warm but cannot cover themselves. Everything they need to survive in a good home is provided, but soon the child, if not properly trained, learns to be NOT so innocent. He cries not only when he really needs something to survive, but also when he simply wants something.

"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Prov 22:6

A true follower of God needs to move back to that first innocence untouched by the wants which have replaced or supplemented real needs. The only way to do this is to come to Jesus... in surrender, for it is too late for us to alone forget all of our wants. We have been so confused that we really cannot tell the difference between wants and needs. That innocent baby knew only real needs until he grew up to learn about wants.

God really knows what we really need. We, quite often want things but think and say that we need them. We sometime simply do not know the difference.

To surrender to Him is the answer for then you will be led by the Holy Spirit to what you really need and the things that you think you need will be clarified so you understand the difference. This is why we must also come by faith rather than by knowledge.

The knowledge of men is the knowledge that Adam and Eve gained in the Garden of Eden when they ate of the forbidden tree. They continue to eat of it today as they read the wrong things, watch the wrong things and otherwise partake of the wrong things. Men are already dead. They have been dead since Adam and Eve sinned. They continue to eat the wrong things and it is no wonder they find themselves where you @humblepie find yourself.

What are the right things? The right thing to eat is Life. Jesus told us but most people who read it still do not understand it:

"Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you." John 6:53

Paul clarifies it for us here:

"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Rom 10:17

As you have heard Jesus is the Word of God [John 1:1 and John 1:14]. He is the Word that became Flesh. This the Flesh that we must eat: The Word of God. People say that this means the Bible, but there is something else that is needed. Go back and read John 6:53. Reading the Bible is eating dead flesh. That is why atheists and other unbelievers can read it get nothing really good from it. Eaten alone it is dead.

It is like the hamburger meat you have eaten. It is simply the ground up meat of a dead animal. When it gets into your carnal body and is digested and infused with your living blood it will become a LIVING part of you. The secret is in the Blood. It is written in the New Testament but also way back in the Old Testament:

"For the life of the flesh is in the blood... Leviticus 17:11

This was speaking of the animal sacrifices under the law given to Moses, but it was also prophetically speaking of the spiritual blood of Jesus:

Paul clarifies:

"Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter [dead flesh alone] killeth, but the spirit [Holy Spirit] giveth life." II Cor 3:6

"The spirit giveth life". The life of the flesh in carnal man like the "lower" animals is the natural blood, but the "new man", the "born again" man lives by eating the dead flesh of Jesus (Word of God) and having it brought to Life in him by the Holy Spirit:

"Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?" Acts 2:37

What indeed?

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost [Holy Spirit]." Acts 2:38

That gift is the power of Life. It gives Life to us. It quickens [brings to Life] the dead flesh of Jesus in us.

No, you're not supposed to know what goodness is.

So stop doing it, you're only being more wicked.

What's your aim here humblepie? Are you asking to have a relationship with God or for more self satisfied ammo? Don't get it twisted we haven't always been Christians. We thought we knew it all too before God humbled us.
