Crucifixion of Jesus

Great post Chad. It is sure amazing that in Isaiah 53.10 it states in KJV that- Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him... and in 53.11 that He shall see of the travail of his soul and be SATISFIED, which is amazing in that it was the Lord's purpose that Jesus was to suffer and pay the dept that we owe. He paid the dept in full.

Grace is one thing that we do depend upon and it is all up to the Lord's provision, as we just ask for forgiveness and accept his grace and we can never add to it.

As my pastor mentions many times --- God provides first grace and then the peace of God. As we read in many of the letters of Paul for example ---- in Ephesians 1.2 Grace be to you and peace, from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

We do not deserve it but the good Lord provides it because of his great love for us.
It is my first reply --- my first day here on this forum.

the crucifixion of Jesus is history and can't save anybody , check out the Midnight Cry and you wwill undrestand what i really mean

Gal 6:14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

1Co 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

1Co 1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

1Co 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

Show me only one person who doesn't know what you posted,
Can tell me why Jesus in Matth23:34.35 and luke11:49 said he would send us prophet?

Every person born of God is a prophet!
A prophet is a person , who God reveals the future too!

Each of Gods kids can be used to tell these things! the Spirit of prophecy!

Rev 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Jesus of course knew the future!

Jesus Christ CAME out of God !He is a part of God !He is Creator!

The world, are blind to much truth and reject it! Gods children are given the spirit of truth , to know and understand the truth!
God gave us a part of His own being , so we would see and know the truth!
The problem is , many of GODS Holy Children have accepted other peoples teaching and do not hear Gods Spirit! That is why we appear so divided!

We thank God, Do not have a religion, we have a relationship forever more!
It is ONE on ONE ! With God as Father , though JESUS CHRIST!

The world cannot understand this! We cannot expect those who are DEAD in there sins to SEE!

They will also think we are nuts ! But He has revealed Himself to us!

No power on earth or in heaven can take us from OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST!

planting evil seeds of doubt , will not take us from our place in CHRIST JESUS!

1Pe 1:4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

1Pe 1:5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Not everybody can be prophet. Look, when Israel was in Egypt there was only one prophet , Moses, in the days of Noah there was only one prophet and no one could be saved but by him, in the days of the Lord Jesus there was only one through whom we could be saved.
The Salvation consists in believing in a prophet not in the cruscifixion of Jesus but in believing the prophet of the generation otherwise how could those who followed Elijah , Elisha, Noah, Henoch, Noah, Moses .... be saved? Jesus gave us access to Salvation , we the nations but He is still the same in any generation acting through prophets

What do you think this scripture means?

2Corinthians 5:18 All this newness of life is from God, who brought us back to himself through what Christ did. And God has given us the task of reconciling people to him.

yanick 49 so your saying you reject the scripture in revelation?
We muct understand Salvation and what takes place at that moment! Of course if we are Not Born -Again? Then we will not have the Spirit of truth

it's through the prophet we are saved because he speaks on behalf the Lord then anyone who listen to him listen to God , he 's God 's mouth on earth,. And ever prophet has his generation , Paul has his, John has his , Jesus has his and now we are in 2010 and Satan has news snares that God needs to reveal people in order to avoid them until his coming back . Today , God is not in catholic, protestant, evangelical churches , He 's in his Word through his living prophet. See Hosea 12:13-14; 2chron20:20, matt23:34_35, we're in the days of Paul to follow what he said .

WE are Only saved though the gospel of JESUS CHRIST and by accepting Him as LORD and master of our lives!
Only by HIS Blood do we have our sins washed away!

1Co 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
1Co 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Rom 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Heb 9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
Heb 9:16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
Heb 9:17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

Heb 9:20 Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.

Heb 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
1Pe 4:18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

1Jn 3:3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
,Heb 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. 1Jn 3:5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Heb 4:2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

So you mean those who followed Moses , Elijah Elisha and so on ... were not saved according to your statement ,? God said in John 6:28 the work of God it's to follow he whom he sent , So in the days of Noah there were many churches but only one was in the Will of God , the Lord said in matt24 that it will be the same today, where is then Noah?

NO one was saved [Born -again ] Until the LORD JESUS CHRIST died for our sins

Heb 11:4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
Heb 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Heb 11:7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
Heb 11:8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
Heb 11:9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
Heb 11:10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
Heb 11:11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
Heb 11:12 Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.
Heb 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
Heb 11:14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.
Heb 11:15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.
Heb 11:16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
Heb 11:17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,
Heb 11:18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:
Heb 11:19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.
Heb 11:20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come.
Heb 11:21 By faith Jacob, when he was a dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff.
Heb 11:22 By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones.
Heb 11:23 By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king's commandment.
Heb 11:24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;
Heb 11:25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
Heb 11:26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.
Heb 11:27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.
Heb 11:28 Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them.
Heb 11:29 By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned.
Heb 11:30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days.
Heb 11:31 By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace.
Heb 11:32 And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets:
Heb 11:33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,
Heb 11:34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.
Heb 11:35 Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:
Heb 11:36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:
Heb 11:37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;
Heb 11:38 (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.
Heb 11:39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
Heb 11:40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

1Jn 2:25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.

Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

No one including them can be reconciled back to Father except through Christ.

Born Again

People were born again before the cross. In John 3:3+ Jesus is explaining to Nicodemus and others about being born again. This is about 3 years before Jesus went to the cross. If a person could not be born again at that time, why is Jesus telling Nicodemus

John.3[3] Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Then Jesus berates Nicodemus: [10] Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

If you think about it for a while, and ask the Holy Spirit for understanding, you will realize that all of the Old Testament saints were born again.

Furthermore, Moses was filled with God's Holy Spirit:

Is 63:[11] Then he remembered the days of old, Moses, and his people, saying, Where is he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of his flock? where is he that put his holy Spirit within him?

How could he be filled with the Holy Spirit if he was not born again.

The Bible records that many other Old Testament saints were also filled with the Holy Spirit.

Prophecy of the crucifixion

The crucifixion of Jesus is prophesied in two places in the Old Testament: Psalm 22 and Isaiah 52&53. Both are quite graphic. Isaiah 52 says:

[14] As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:

The blood washes away your sin

Without Jesus sacrifice at the cross, none of us could get to heaven because each one of us has sin in our lives and without Jesus' blood, there is no way to wash it away. God the Father required a blood sacrifice to get rid of our sins.

Heb.9

[22] And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

A person is not saved by Jesus' crucifixion. A person is saved by faith. Read Galatians to understand this. However, without the shedding of Jesus' blood, salvation would be impossible.

Salvation by grace

Salvation has always been by grace, even under the law.

Gal.3

[11] But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
[24] Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

If you read the story of David and the sins he committed, you will understand that he lived under grace.

Prophets

God has always had several prophets at any given time. When Moses was leading Israel,

Num 11:

[25] And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spake unto him, and took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease.
[26] But there remained two of the men in the camp, the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad: and the spirit rested upon them; and they were of them that were written, but went not out unto the tabernacle: and they prophesied in the camp.
[27] And there ran a young man, and told Moses, and said, Eldad and Medad do prophesy in the camp.
[28] And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, one of his young men, answered and said, My lord Moses, forbid them.
[29] And Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? would God that all the LORD's people were prophets, and that the LORD would put his spirit upon them!

Note here that God put His Spirit on the 70 elders. Note also that Moses said he wanted all of God's people to be prophets.

We get the same message in I Cor 14:

[5] I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied:

2Cor.13

[1] This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.

So we have two witnesses: Moses and Paul, so the word is established.
