I believe it, sometimes you need prophetic help from God just to know who to talk to and who not with regard to these kinds of things.

A little over 18 months ago i saw a generational curse in a dream and heard "cursed from the womb with a spirit of powerlessness"
I didn't know who the dream concerned but in the dream I was able to look into the chain and shackles and see that every link of the chain was a spirit or a sin. then there were sins holding the shackle to the person's left ankle.

What i think this represents is that the "generational curse" might persist in a family but skip the person who repents.

So anyhow I started praying about that dream because i thought that it concerned someone else, but then i started to realize it was me. around that time i was strongly told "do not go into her before that curse is broken" *. anyhow, started having some rather strange experiences.. consistent with sins I committed in the womb. after getting rid of it, it felt like an invisible glass ceiling was removed from my life. my brother noticed as well.

If you have read the "theophostic prayer ministry basic seminar edition" (i can send you a copy, you might like it 300+ pages) The author suspends judgement on trauma in the womb, but acknowledges that he has seen many people experience things consistent with being in the womb, when they are praying asking God to heal the root cause of their issues.. such as depression, etc. I have not read the book completely but i suspect there is mention of sin committed in the womb, as well as lies believed in the womb.

*at the time i was not even close to being tempted, for various reasons, so it was interesting hearing that warning. we're getting married this year.

I was sort of passively asking God why the curse was there in the first place and the only word i kept hearing is "witchcraft" associated with my mom. i have some suspicions, but it seems like she doesn't remember much of my childhood either anymore.. so, no point in talking to her it seems, unless i was to really confront them again about what was going on, but it doesn't seem to be worth the trouble.

In Scripture , God is very much all about family and the hierarchy of the Family.
Father then mother, then eldest child and so on.
Churches are set up as a hierarchy with elders and the eldest etc.
So it should not surprize anyone that the Devil, who hates us ( mankind) is all about destroying the hierarchy.
When the father sins, it gives permission to the devil to attach the mother. And when the mother sins the devil attacks the eldest child and it goes down the line.
The primary target will always be the father. With single mothers it will always be the mother, as the main obsticle is already removed. The father/ husband

the woman i'm speaking of in this post.. is 9 years older than me. story goes her dad died before she was born.

And she is still in my psyche?

so, after 9 years , this woman is still in my heart and mind. I have prayed myself many times to either remove her, or to show a sign she is meant to be "here". The signs I got in abundance BTW. 12 months ago she bought a house with someone else. But yet she is still "here" . I did pray for...

recently my gf said.. "she looks a lot like your sister."

both my parents seem to have a lot of shame buried about something but i can't tell what.
few years back my mom somewhat jokingly said to my dad "do you ever wonder if God entered into judgement against you for anything?"
and he replies "can we not talk about that please"...

i'm left wondering.. why did my mom even think to ask the question and what kind of a reply is that...

I just shared with you my own experience . I do know how to recognize the movement of the Holy Spirit in me, even when it is that whispering wind.
Go read the books of the " experts " , thank God i am not one of those.
I am certain if you talk with enough people that have done deliverance , you will find plenty of Witnessed topics that can not be explained by the experts

The best thing you can do for the parents is to pray for them
