is by understanding that every person conceived has their name already written in the Book of Life.
When a person dies in unbelief their name is blotted out. This satisfies both extremes of the idea. I've not found a more succint and logical explanation for this.
oops sorry I read this but it didn't register sorry, (you gotta hate reading disabilities) this does sound familiar though, but it is not a seemingly contradiction, we have only been lead to believe that.
We still have to be Christ-like in our lives, if we aren't, what is the point, right. The Gospel is still the living example of the only real Christian Lifestyle required to reconcile us with God. Jesus "IS" our living example, the lifestyle he chose to live is based on love, compassion and patience. All 3 are the fundamental components of Christianity and when you choose to accept Christ as your Saviour and receive the Spirit, your entire life simply changes... Spiritually you become a new person, and inside your own life those 3 components fundamentally change not only the way we live but how we think about our lives. On this there is no middle ground.
Either you believe or you don't, is also either you change or you don't. That change can only be effected by the Spirit, our guide, teacher and comforter. In another thread B-A-C inquired about the Book of Life and whether you can be written out of it, you can by having your name entered in the book of death, I thought I saw that in John's Gospel, I will post it when I find it. I will look at those Rev. references as well incase that is where I saw what I am looking for.
