Psalm 34:19 (King James Version)
19Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
Acts 7:10 (King James Version)
10And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.
One of the things that I think is sorely missing in modern Christian preaching is the concept of the cross and its role in our salvation. Clearly, your sufferings are unbearable. Your church has rejected you instead of giving your family the support you desperately need. They have no idea what it is to walk in your shoes. You have stuck with it, your have endured, your have persevered. Yes, it has been very hard, but you have kept your vows to the Lord and He will definitely honor that.
There is a relationship in the Scripture between suffering and glory. The greater the suffering, the greater the future glory. In the eyes of the world (and the worldly believers), your family may not be highly esteemed, but the Lord knows the pressures you are under and about your integrity to do what is right in difficult circumstances. You are a winner, and the Lord will ascribe to you a great reward. The catch is, that it will most probably not be seen until we are in His Kingdom. Our hope is a future hope. This life is little more than a training ground so that we can be useful to the Lord in His Kingdom.
None of the heroes of faith received their reward in their lifetimes:
Hebrews 11:39And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
40God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.
As someone else said, you ARE a hero. There may be suffering now, but there is a future glory for you greater than you could ever imagine. As you continue to do what is right, even though it is difficult, God will add to your reward in His Kingdom.
Hebrews 12:6 (King James Version)
6For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
If you have had perhaps "more than your share" of suffering, could it be that God REALLY loves you?
Please be encouraged and keep your eyes on Jesus, Who WILL carry you through.
