Do you speak for most sites?

I didn't think so. Maybe just speak for yourself. I was speaking of what I know concerning the forums I am a member of. None of those have had a problem with discussing those other sites, or when I asked problem members to consider leaving and joining one of them. We've asked people to consider leaving our site when they were troublesome, or unhappy, or felt they had been treated unfairly. This you know.... being one of them.

We encouraged them to seek different forums that might be more to their liking- where they might fit in better, be happier, and otherwise find fellowship such as:

TOL-- theologyonline.com
CARM Forum- CARM Forums
Theology Forums- Theology Forums

And of course-- here at Talk Jesus.


I'm open to being corrected (are you?) -but I can tell you that Chad-- the Admin here has been very kind and helpful to me and has assisted me with Xenforo (the software platform) upgrades for White Horse Forums when I asked him what he had imported here. He very graciously told me what he bought and where he found it. Kind of Christian-like.

Let's play nice my Sister & Brother in Christ Jesus!

As far as Talk Jesus is concerned. We don't normally promote other sites, and we attempt to stop the opposite type of communications as well. It's too easy to critique another's site both positively or negatively. People are funny that way, and when given an inch will take a mile. It almost always becomes personal!

So, being combative over this site or that site well...just set it aside or open a Private Message (PM) with the other person so you can discuss your feelings/experiences with other sites. This way neither Talk Jesus or any other site can be seen as being promoted positively/negatively!

There is nothing wrong with my commenting on his public post trying to get people to go to his site. Please don't start the false judgments on me. You publicly commented on it yourself and seem to be agreeing with me. Does that mean you aren't playing nice? How is what I said to him not nice?

My apologies if you were offended by my words.

A little explanation on my motivation. Rather than let it get out of hand, I make a post at times to hopefully reign in some Brothers & Sisters in Christ Jesus before it gets out of hand. You'd be surprised how the simplest comments can blow up into words of attrition between members who otherwise would be agreeable with each other in their communications.

Count what I said as preventive medicine.

Thank you so much, Nick, one hardly ever hears apologies. This site and you have been an answer to my prayer.
As a side note, I want to point out to you that I didn't reply back to AnneOminous, because just like you said, these things can go on and on and get worse.

 

[Hidden In Him]

I had this couple years back and is one of the few dreams now that I hold close and hopefully may help someone else too. There is a sensitive part in here for anyone reading.

I was outside and it was night time in a huge city of a lot of tall buildings. I saw this army of power rangers jogging through the streets in all different colored suits (it was like a children's television show that I used to really like). In front of this building I saw a monstrous hand rising out of the ground, but the army trampled it and it disappeared in smoke. At the very end of the line there was this pink ranger that was part of the army, but separate from the rest. She stopped in front of the building the hand had been trampled on in front and went inside. Inside it was me in regular clothes. I ran into the bathroom.

It flashed to pink ranger in uniform just looking around in this airport wing. She wasn't inside at this time, but there was this room the dream flashed to with two cages. Both of them held a lot of people in chains and torn clothes. There was a twin bed with two kids crying on the bed and a man in a dark cape and black mustache. Then I saw Jesus. He walked in with a purple robe and crown of thorns on His head. He made the man set the captives free.

Then it showed me run out of the bathroom and join back with the army in uniform.

Then it was as if the dream rewound only I knew what was going to happen. It was me as pink ranger, but I stayed in uniform and I ran past the bathroom. I just wanted to see Jesus, so I went into the room as an undercover prisoner in uniform and was put in the back of the cage with all the other people in front of me. This time was different though. Jesus came in, but it flashed to a woman being raped in a car with blood on the window. A man was recording this on a video camera. I was back in the cage and the cage I was in started sinking into the ground. I felt like a fool for doing this.

I fell into the airport wing the pink ranger was in before, only I was in regular clothes now and was waist deep in very cold and turbulent water. I was wading through and a lot of furniture and things were in the water that I was having to wade through and was crying in the dream just trying to get through this all.

I saw this door and went inside. It was a room that was bone dry with no water at all. It was all dirty and was empty, but I was all wet. I went against the wall and put my head on my knees and was just crying here.

Then I heard chains falling and it was from the room above. Jesus was setting the prisoners free. I sort of knew but sort of didn't that He wouldn't leave me there. I was afraid He would. But then moments later, I saw Jesus Christ come through the door. He did it in urgency like He knew I was there and needed Him. He was in a white robe and had marks on both His hands. In my dream I ran into His arms just sobbing. It was like sunshine came into the room and I knew everything was okay because my Savior was in the room. I said, "You came, I was afraid You would forget me." And He said "I would never forget you."

And I woke up.

I like this dream a lot. The middle part is sad, but it has a great ending : )

I wanted to create a space for people to post their dreams if they are so led by the Spirit to do so. It is by the Spirit and in the Spirit that dreams come.

Share, if you will- and perhaps I can offer some clarity.

Ok, Anne, let me try you on for size.

It's interesting you used that title for this thread because I had the following dream about a year or so ago. I was in this living room with some people, and was handed this huge trumpet. It was maybe eight times the size of a normal one, and I sensed it belonged to Louis Armstrong. I sensed I was supposed to be playing it, but I could hardly lift the thing it was so big. When I did finally get it into position and went to play, all that came out was a little noise. The people there, who I now noticed were all blacks, sort of chuckled, especially a heavy set black woman. I took it lightly myself and found it humorous as well, so I kinda looked up and said, "I think it's broke," LoL. I was about to attempt to play it again when I woke up.

Give me your best shot, What does it mean? Keep in mind, btw, this is a bit of a friendly test. I already know exactly what it means, but I wanted to see if you could figure it out : )
