WOW this movie is SO powerful!!! If you haven't seen it yet, please do because it has such an awesome message!

It's a football movie so it's good for guys and it has the mushy parts too for the ladies

But really, it has such an awesome message... oh my... I want to cry. LOL

It's a football movie about overcoming your opponent, pushing yourself to your limit and obedience. It's awesome. Rent it and come back to me. Tell me what you think. :star:

Facing the Giants is my favorite movie. It's great for the guys, 'cause it has a lot of football scenes. I like it because it shows that Christians go through bad stuff. It's not a "nicey-nicey" movie where the Christians have "nicey-nicey" lives. It seems real. It's based upon a true story.

omg!

i looooove this movie. i watched it in my youth group on fridays and i jus loved it!!!! it has such a powerful message that we need to apply it to our everyday life!!!

i recommend everyone to watch it!

I loved this movie, it just shows how we should wait on the lord, and how much He has got to offer if we stay in the place that He blesses.

It's a must see movie.

never give up

I love this movie ..
This story prompted me to never give up and keep fighting

Another good I just watched is Flywheel, about a dishonest car salesman who gives his life to God and changes to being a totally honest one. Good story about self-reflection and faith.

HI, is this movie 'facing the giants on out in USA, is it available in UK?, who are the stars in the film?

movie info

facing the Giants was made by a church group out of georgia i think.thier first one was FLY WHEEL about a crooked car dealer that Finds Christ also they did one called Fire Proof..havent seen that one but FlyWheel is pretty funnie ..God shows this car Guy whats really important,,i woukld recomend anything by this Group of God led actors..

Facing The Giants is a fantastic movie! It's one of my all time favorite movies! Fire Proof is really good too! I would recommend them to anyone to watch.

stormomar it is out in the u.s.a and has been on tv a few times as well...i've watched it two times now in the last week on tv.

I was really disappointed in this movie. I had hopes that movies like these might allow me to continue enjoying television as a christian since there were so many that my conscience would no longer allow me to watch. I have vague horrific memories of being sexually tempted by the cheerleaders in the film. It seems that some don't understand that there are weaker men who have spent their whole lives lusting after the flesh of women and are now super sensitive to the shape of a females body after maturity. Females should be taught to dress in a way that doesn't invite men to sin. Of course men will be held accountable for their own response but if meat maketh my brother to offend....

I don't watch tv...

I agree about the cheerleaders, and for me personally, I would not be bothered by them. But you are so right about lust and it's effects on and power over many men. It is one of the enemy's best weapons against us.

I don't watch t.v. either, but I am always on the lookout for Godly movies, which are few and far in between. I haven't watched Face the Giants, because from some reviews on other sites I read it was unrealistic in it's portrayal of Christian lives. Maybe I'll buy it and check it out anyway, but the next one I plan to watch for sure, is Time Changer, which looks quite interesting.

i too can see his point ..however there was several moments it that movie that lift up the name of Jesus and it deals with repentance in a Godly way....i do suggest again that you watch fly wheel about a crooked car dealer that repents for his ethics  and then maybe youll understand why they took these paths for movies I have a 13 yr old grandson that just started football and this movie really relates to him,,im sure they didnt attempt to intise or tempt any body. Does not Gods word say to hide His word in our hearts as to not sin aginast God...we have our own responabilty about what temtations we fall for....Happy New year

God cannot tempt anyone with evil. I was tempted by it. It is not of God.

With Love in Christ.

I've seen Flywheel and I do recommend it.

Yes, we're responsible but we also should not entice another to sin, causing him to stumble. If we hate sin, as we should, because we are no longer in bondage to it and we seek to obey and please God, we would not entice someone else to sin. That would be hypocritical.

And what scantily dressed (or otherwise enticingly-dressed) woman doesn't know she is tempting 3/4 of the men within seeing range of her?
Blessings in Christ!

all i am saying is lets not throw out the baby with the bath water...imho i saw nothing in that movie that deneid Christ any his due...we will find temtations in our own churches..but it doesnt stop us from going.....im not as sucessful as Id like to be in this matter but every day we need to put our thoughts under the blood to avoid a wrong response to temptations..having the mind of Christ in this life is not an easy task for even the elite of us...but it should be our goal
