Actually there is nothing wrong with anything that we do if we do it from our heart and our heart has nothing in it but the good things of God.
So therein is the problem, isn't it?
Paul clarifies the point, if we can understand his meaning in this verse:
"And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him." Col 3:17
Doing everything in Jesus' name means more than simply pronouncing the word, Jesus, when we are doing something.
