God is not done with Israel

I've seen you use this phrase a few times now. Can you give me the scripture reference for this? In fact can you give me any verse at all with the words "spirit" and "dying flesh" in them together?
Well we know that God corrupted took away power of all flesh when he departed on day three .

While the life of the flesh is in the blood literal blood without the Spirit of Christ flesh and blood has no power . . .it is dead

Romans 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

The Spirit working in dying flesh .No confidence in dead dying flesh and bones.

I would think one would first have to define the word Israel seeing all israel is not Israel. . . This before we can make a judgment. . . is God done ?

The remnant of Israel are the born again Christians .

Not all Israel is born again Israel and in the same way not all that say they are Christian are. They make up both kinds . False apostles' and true apostles

God is not finished . . . the lost sheep of born again Israel are called Christians by our Father.
Tell you what, brother, Israel means STRUGGLE with God. An Israelite never gives in, he struggles with God all night long until he gets God’s blessing, he doesn’t take no for an answer. The people of such strugglers is Israel.

Sometimes it is. In the case of Revelation 7:5-8; for example it is biological Israel. We know this because the 12 tribes are mentioned.
This is contrasted with Revelation 7:9; where it talks about about peoples from every race, tongue, and nation.
There are likely Jews in this "great multitude" of people wearing white robes. But it isn't only Jews obviously.

I would think we know there is only one bride as the church and all Israel is not born again Israel . We are to know no man after the flesh of any nation . (2 Corinthians 5:16)

An hundred and forty and four thousand of all of those born again, a number as a golden measure the word thousand representing a unknown .God does not reveal literal numbers. . Mankind is quick to add their name as a self edifying power .

Two kinds of measures the golden as a metaphor to represent the unseen things of God .Then the literal measure of man where four hundred and forty four equal the number of that word .

Revelation 7: 4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. (Bride of Christ)

Revelation 7: 9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

All the nations not just the Jewish nation.

Revelation 21:17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.

Two measures. two sides of the coin the literal measure of of man that is of the apostle the messenger sent like John in this chapter (Revelation) and again the golden used in parables. . . they hide the gospel

Man, this is so frustrating, my only reaction is *palmface*. Israel was never "biological" to begin with, read Ex. 12:38! There was a "mixed multitude" joining them! How else do you think did they expand from merely 70 persons to a nation of millions in only 200 plus years?

One bride of Christ made up of all the nations of the world having nothing to do with the outward flesh as a Jew. God is not a man as us.

The increase has nothing to do with the flesh of any nation. Whosoever has not the born again Spirit of Christ simply do not belong to Him. .

As I said, God's church started with Abraham - the father of MANY, not the pentecost, that's about 2000 years before Christ. Israel's national identity is not rooted in blood, but the Torah. Even today's modern Israel state is not monolithic, its citizens came from all over the world, including soviet union, ethiopia and arab countries. What unites them as one nation is their shared cultural and religious heritage, which is the Torah. Israel started with a "mixed multitude, and it will end with a "mixed multitude". Christ is the ultimate embodiment of the Torah, through him and ONLY through him are all nations truly blessed and adopted into God's family, thus the Abrahamic covenant gets fulfilled.

The mixed multitude is a mix of all the nations . Like with the teaching . . .without parables he spoke not to the multitude hiding the gospel understanding from the lost

The church (Christs bride). began with the first called out one .Abel the apostle called out sent with the gospel to preach to his brother.
Abel the first recorded martyr murdered of the father of lies a murderer from that beginning spoken of in John 8:44. His blood cries out even today just as any other member of the church the wife of Christ.

There is one path that does lead to the last day under the Sun when the eternal wedding will be consummated and the veil lifted

Abram meaning exalted father (one ) whose name born again was changed to Abraham (father of all the nations ) The word is used to look ahead to the promised three days and nights demonstration prophesied both in Genesis 3 and Isaiah 53. The Father of all nations striking the Son of man brushing his heel, crushing the head of serpent (false apostle) . . .Did God really say you will surely die.?????) the gospel taking away the lying power

Hello @Garee,

Thank you for your reply to @Jonathan_Gale (above). Though I am not personally a member of the company spoken of as, 'The Bride of the Lamb', I can see why you say that it goes back further than Abraham. For in the 11th chapter of Hebrews we have a list of it's membership going back to Abel, to which you refer, consisting of men and women of faith, who loved not their lives unto death, and looked, like Abraham, for a city, 'which hath foundations whose Builder and Maker is God' (Hebrews 11:10).

Abraham was told by God, '... ... ... in Isaac shall thy seed be called'.(Gen. 21:12; Rom. 9:7; Heb.11:18). All of the prophecies concerning this company will yet come to pass, and they will fulfill His purpose for them as written.

Praise God!

Thank you

Thanks.

Actually I understand it more as the lamb is the bride. spoken of as slain from the foundation. The six days he did work. Believers married to God . The Bible says their names are written from the foundation as those who have eternal life. Lambs represent the redeemed. an Ass those not redeemed .

Yes by the seed of the second born. . . the seed of Christ working in powerless mankind.. It can be found by tracing the genealogy found in Luke 3 .

The beginning of the matter. . .Luke 3:23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,

The end of the matter. . Luke 3:38 Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.

One lamb goes astray out of a hundred The Lord leads her back .

Cain like Esau first born (fleshly birth) or Onan who spilled the seed and was killed .The first born represents natural unconverted mankind . . those that see no value in the unseen eternal things of God like Cain or Esau sold their birth rites for a little peace and quiet or a cup of hairy goat soup .

God replaced Abel with Seth as the beginning of the genealogy that ended with Jesus the Son of man the focus point of the seed .(not seen)

Genesis 4: 25-26 And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew. And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the Lord.

Genesis 38 :8 -9And Judah said unto Onan, Go in unto thy brother's wife, and marry her, and raise up seed to thy brother. And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother's wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother

Yes, technically it goes back to Abel, but there's a twist - God flooded the whole earth, all were wiped out except Noah's family, that was God's global reset. Then you have the 70 nations stemmed from Noah's three sons, all of them, including Peleg, Abraham's ancestor, chose to abandon God and honor themselves with the Tower of Babel. God scattered them to the end of the earth, and made a covenant with Abraham, that was six generations from Peleg. Therefore, Abrahamic covenant was a new beginning.

Hello @Jonathan_Gale,

Yes, Shem continued on the line of the promised seed (Gen. 3:15), which finds it's fulfillment in the Lord Jesus Christ. Yet it was in Isaac that Abraham's seed would be called: Isaac then Jacob, whose name was changed to Israel, through whom the twelve tribes sprang. Our Lord coming forth through the tribe of Judah, through the seed of the woman, as promised: God Himself being His Father. Praise His Holy Name!

* The unconditional covenant made with Abraham, was to him, and to his seed, through Isaac. Not a new beginning, but the continuing line of the seed promised via Noah, through Shem. The birth of Isaac also being a miraculous birth, for Abraham and Sarah, being well past the age of child bearing.

Forgive me if I am merely stating the obvious.
Thank you

What are you writing of ??
Judah and the Jews are not Israel.
Further the Jews (Judah) were divorced by God in 70AD.
What blessings for the restoration of Judah to their homeland is only because of the promises made to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Israel is now the Spirit-filled church that believes and worships the Messiah of Israel, Jesus.
Those born from above and our truly baptized in the Holy Spirit constitute Israel (Ephraim).
1Peter 1:3 Blessed the God and Father of our *Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great *mercy begat us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4 unto an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and unfading, reserved in the heavens for you,
2:9 But ye are an elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s possession, so that ye may show forth the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous *light:
10 who once were no people, but now are God’s people: who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
If you study and follow the culture and politics of today's Jews in Judah they are un-Godly and still blaspheme the name of Jesus.
They also attack and persecute Arab Christians and the resident Orthodox churches.
They practice racism and religious apartheid with impunity and openly kill non-Jews without penalty.
Tel Aviv is one of the homosexual capitals of the world.
The Jews of today claim to be the "chosen people" of God and yet most of them do not believe in either God of the OT nor the Law of Moses.
Leviticus 19:33 “When a stranger sojourns with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong.
34 You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt:
I am the LORD your God."

That was definitely a new beginning, at least from the perspective of Matthew's gospel, which is primarily written for the Jews. Just because God preserved the messianic bloodline doesn't mean there had been an active relationship with God, none of that was recorded from Shem to Abraham. God preserved other nations as well despited their rebellion, but God didn't raise anybody from their descendents to continue the bloodline.

I would think the covenant is of "re-establishing" . . . restoring and not some much a covenant "newly created beginning".

It began with the tribe of Adam who failed. . given over by God to the second born Abel in whom God worked in by his great mercy mixed with grace as labor of His Love. . . to represent the seed Christ the power of our second birth .

Spiritually. . . seed (Christ) yoked with Abel Abel used to represent and establish the born again doctrine , the second birth .The seed (one) spoke of the Father of all the nations of the world giving meaning to the word Abraham (the father of all the nations of the whole world) not just the Jewish world ,that represented previously Abram the exalted father of one nation. . family. before his born again conversion shown by the name change. .

The gospel in a nut shell.

Galatians 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

No seed no Abraham father of all nations or families. (the Lord of lords. the fleshly name reappears as Abram. . father of one family like all families returns to the dust. We have a living abiding hope beyond the grave . . . . . what the eyes see today .

' This is the covenant that I will make with them
after those days, saith the Lord,
I will put my laws into their hearts,
and in their minds will I write them;
And their sins and iniquities
will I remember no more.'
(Heb 10:16-17)
Jeremiah 31:31 “Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah,
[Note the recognition of two houses or nations here - God is acknowledging the continuing existence and future purpose of "Israel" as distinct from Judah.
Worth also noting that Ezekiel is prophesying this a couple of hundred years after the Assyrian conquest and removal of the northern kingdom of Israel
]
31:32 not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke,
though I was their husband, declares the LORD.

Jeremiah 31:33 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the LORD: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts.
And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. - [note that this covenant is not made with the house of Judah ]
31:34 And no longer shall each one teach his neighbour and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the LORD.
For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”
[And this promise comes to fruition on the day of Pentecost when 120 people receive the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues.
This new Covenant is with the house of Israel - the foundation of which is the dispersal of the "lost" 10 tribes of Israel into the nations of Europe.
The first rain was primarily Europe; and our current latter rain is all the nations of the world through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit as it was in the beginning.
Throughout the world the full gospel of salvation is being preached and Pentecostal revival is occurring even in the most hostile of environments.
These signs shall follow them that believe is still happening and turning people away from false religions to worship the true God of salvation in spirit and in truth.
]
Matthew 24:14 And this *gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole inhabited earth for a witness unto all the nations; and then shall the end come.
Which gospel??
Mark 16:15 And he said to them, Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation.
16 Who hath believed and is baptized shall be saved; but who hath disbelieved shall be condemned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that have believed: in my *name shall they cast out demons, speak with tongues;
18 and in their hands they shall take up serpents, and if they drink aught deadly, it shall in now wise hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

God is not done with Israel until that last person who shall believe and be born from above by water and Spirit comes in - and then God will shut the door.
And it will be as in the days of Noah those outside shall perish.

Matthew 24:22 And except those *days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved: but for the elect’s sake those *days shall be shortened.

I would think the covenant is of "re-establishing" . . . restoring and not some much a covenant "newly created beginning".
The first covenant was restablished with Noah as the Flood subsided. God promised to never flood the earth again:

And God said: “This is the sign of the covenant which I make between Me and you, and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh. The rainbow shall be in the cloud, and I will look on it to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.” And God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that is on the earth.” (Gen. 9:12-17)

The covenant God made with Abraham was entirely different. That was a covenant between God and his chosen people, through this covenant a relationship is built, that was not a "re-establishing" of the Noahide covenant. It was THIS covenant which Christ truly restored with his blood:

Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. (Matt. 26:27-28)

Thanks I would add or offer.
A promise as a covenant. A promise by himself to himself. Faith as the power of God to the same faith. Christ the author and finisher of our new faith.. not depending on seeds flesh of Abraham . . what the eyes see the temporal

Galatians 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

Hebrews 6:13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,

Not a covenant because of the flesh of Abraham. it has no power to offer.

I would think what some call the covenant of Abraham is an extension of the promise spoken of in the garden Genesis 3:15. . the father striking the Son of man bruising his heel crushing the head of the serpent. It was again prophesied in Isaiah 53 establishing the government of peace that had become corrupted.

The promised demonstration began In the garden of Gethsemane the beginning of the promised three days and nights promised demonstration . . . . the father not seen working with the Son of man Jesus seen.

The father putting to sleep the apostles three times. . . Jesus suffering unto death desired they wake up again and again looking for strength . . the father continuing to refuse. . Again establishing the promise of two prophecies of two working as one. .Then they moved on to the second part of that demonstration the hill the bloody demonstration the cross. And finally the Tomb.. The demonstration of faith.

It would seem that covenants are made into what some call "dispensations" (time periods) making what they call Abrahamic promise first.

.I would think the gospel is the covenant of covenants . God works in us by a labor of His love or work of faith outside of time. Not subject to time but rather empowered by his faithful Love.

Jeremiah 31:31 “Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah,

Which Israel is that . Israel i is used 2300 times.

The Israel that crucified the lord of glory and destroyed the authority of the gospel (as it is written) making it without effect.?

Romans 9:6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:

Matthew 15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

He did not say I am not sent but unto the sheep (not lost) of the house of Israel. They that compare themselves to and by themselves seeking the approval of each other resisted being found. They as Israel are considered not wise .

2 Corinthians 10:12 For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.
