God's 360 Plan

You repent because God has given each person a working brain and a conscience.

now that is just silly and so easy to prove wrong, do you think before you post, I have been guilty of it many times, just think how many worldly smart people you know that do not believe case settled

Read those words carefully. ''Confession is made unto salvation''. The moment you receive a revelation of Jesus being Lord, you will confess He is and be saved.

I think this is now the third time I have told you. You and nobody on this planet, can call Jesus Lord unless it is revealed to you by the Holy Spirit 1 Cor 12:3. This does not happen unless you repent, as explained in post #10 above. Cart before horse.

How can man repent unless the Holy Spirit convicts of sin? How can man be convicted of sin unless he hears the Gospel of Jesus Christ?

And how can man hear the Gospel of Christ unless another man shares it for the Holy Spirit to convict?

Please prove it wrong. I like to think I do think before I type ... ;)

Gen 3:22 And the LORD God said, 'The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.

scripture proves it wrong ,, you cant find any scripture that says repent and be saved,, but I can find scripture that says believe and be saved

very simple I wonder why you cant see it, its plain as day scripture proves it

I asked you previously, if the above were true, what of those BC?

Let's not flatter ourselves here too much. God uses us to spread the gospel of Jesus. It is His preferred method as it ticks all the blocks of free will. He could find another route if He wanted to.

How did Abraham find God? God find him? God is watching the earth, looking for someone after His heart. Someone who thinks they can say magical words or think magical things is not after His heart. Someone who hates what is evil and clings to what is good is after His heart. These people, God will find, even if He has to send an angel or talking donkey to visit them. Certainly not His preferred method.

Rom 12:9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.

Acts 16:30-31

Then he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

andard answered from someone who does not get it, will be this is out of context when really all the context is there they are blind if you see it not

Cart before horse. Please quote my post #10 so that I can understand which part of it you disagree with.

Dave, please read the OP of this thread What is a Christian and how do you become one? and per my post above, my post #10. Once you properly read them, you will see where I am coming from and better grasp that whilst your statement / quote of the verse is true and does apply, it is cart before horse.

A Christian should be able to explain why believing in Jesus has value. Not merely say 'believe in Jesus'.

Kingj, you do know that Calvin was right about man being totally depraved? He took it straight from Christ.

John 6:44
"No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day."

Your assumption that man can come to Christ alone is not correct. The brain and conscience of man needs a draw from God.

Do you know what that draw is?

Yes, indeed, all mankind are sinners. Paul mentions this a few times too. This does not mean all men are doomed for eternal damnation if Jesus did not die on the cross.

In the OT there was a divide between sinner and sinner. Sinners on the one side did not repent and they were in a hell. Explained by Jesus in Luke 16. Sinners on the other side did repent and they were in a paradise of sort, Abrahams bosom. It is the same situation with the angels. We are not at an ''advantage'' because of Jesus. Is that what you believe? God is partial to us living AD?

With regards to John 6:44. It is a true statement. But you need to think of other verses for context. Like the ones I quote in post #10. The Father will only draw to Jesus, those who repent.

Five point Calvinism is an evil belief. I can dig up a thread here on this site if you want to discuss it in more detail.

I'm not a Calvinist, I'm just pointing out that man cannot come to Christ on his own as you have suggested, through his intellect.
