Well let me throw a monkey into the wrench. With a little common sense.
To begin with to dwell on these things and to allow fear to prevail is silly. We should all just accept we do not know. And that to simply believe in and to trust God is the only requirement to avoid most of this. Will some of us have to die in those days, could be, good people and followers of God die every day due to some evil. But they do have Gods love and his promise that all is well in the end. That is the thing to hold to.
Now about that monkey......is not God the ultimate scientist? The creator and the one who holds the laws of life and creation? Does he need the ways of man to accomplish things? No not really, but he does at times use them but in the manner of destruction, can any man create something such as the great flood? Not likely.
Do you know much about Nuclear War?? I do, I was trained in the military some in this area, I was trained to load the weapons, to arm them and to disarm them. And to use them.
Nuclear war and the results of it on the world in a great scale would destroy the earth for many centuries, the results of the atomic fall out and radiation would cease life as we know it for a great long time. All things are poison, crops, plants, the very soil becomes poison. No life can survive period in a zone where nuclear blasts have been let loose. Not just from the blast and destruction , but from the results of the extreme radiation. So no life would survive.
Oh sure you could live in and underground bunker for a time, till your life support is gone, but you could not venture out, as certain death is the result. Not from the blast but from the poison of the radiation.
Will God use mans power and the poison he creates to destroy the world or will he use his own instant and clean way to effect his will and not poison the earth? I think his power is much more than a nuclear bomb and his way would not poison the earth.
Will man in the future conduct a nuclear war......could be. We are stupid enough to do so. It is a distinct possible situation. The world is in turmoil and they do seem intent upon a great war.
I would say to pray for this to never occur. To ask God to temper the world governments to not allow such a thing. That is what I intend to do.
I would much rather have God judge me and destroy me than man. Gods way is all powerful and awesome. Mans so called knowledge is but nonsense. It holds no comparison to the power of God.
So I pray that nuclear war never comes. That in its place when the day does have to be that God power is the way to destruction as this will be quick, sure and without the result of the earth becoming totally poison.
God has a way to destroy, and it does not require nuclear weapons. Now man may commit this ignorant act, we are quite capable of such a thing.
