Yeh. I read that one article. You are going to read and believe what you want to read and believe. But I look at the fruits of a man. There are over 600 churches set up in Mexico as a result of the ministry he founded in the most detestable/isolated of places. His ministry has raised over 400 from the dead and many have come to Christ as a result. He is coming to my church in November. I am just super excited to see this man speak.
"Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you; and considering the result of their conduct, imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever."
Hebrews 13:7-8 NASB1995
God was, is, and always will be a miracle worker. We should follow His example.
And, yes, I'm a skeptic. Well -- what kind of churches Are they in Mexico? Is God's Word being taught? are people coming to saving faith through Jesus Christ? Is the main emphasis on raising people from the dead?
In the New Testament -- Jesus Christ was bringing a few people back to life. But His main ministry was performing miracles -- showing the people there was something Greater than themselves -- His Heavenly Father. There were lots who didn't believe in life after death. The Sadducees. Jesus' was showing that people Can come back to life.
But Eternal life is Most important. Everyone will be resurrected -- the Great White Throne Judgement. And then on to eternal Life in either the New Jerusalem OR the lake of fire and brimstone.
A question -- what are you anticipating when David Hogan comes to your church? Are you anticipating hearing him preach the Word of God? Or anticipating hearing about all the people he's raised from the dead. And what are all those people doing with their lives Now? Are they continuing to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ? How long did they live After Mr. Hogan raised them?
And, yes , God is the performer of the miraculous. How are we to be following His example? We ARE told to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind and then our neighbor as ourselves. Sharing the Gospel unto salvation with whomever will listen.
