I need help i stopped believing in holy spirit because all the spirit filledness could come from devil and i am very down now.

There are many New Testament scriptures that tell of Jesus operating in the power of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit is very real; part of the triune Godhead. Not believing in the Holy Spirit because of the fakery you fear makes as much sense as not believing in automobiles because you fear they might break down. Don't give in to that fear.

If I understand what you've been saying, your down because you don't feel the Spirit in your life with conviction and your hear that others have this experience. Is this right?

If this is so then I would love to reassure you that God still loves you and loves that you yearn for a deeper relationship with Him, with the Holy Spirit.

For some of us it does not come as a sudden 'Damascus Road' experience, but grows as a plant grows, gradually, imperceptibly. This is how it is with me. The Spirit is evident when we rely on faith. Faith only is real and there to support us when we rely on it. If we rely on our own strength then faith cannot exist for us. Take a small step of faith. Ask God for a prompting in this. He gives us good things when we ask for them. It's scary, a bit like treading out on ice, or into thin air so He understands that our first steps are small and shaky. Parents delight in their children's first steps most because they are so wobbly!

If you can get started this way, you will feel Gods hand supporting you; this is the Holy Spirit and it will feel good and you will have no doubt about who it is!

Don't expect huge leaps. Little steps can start a long journey and if we are journeying with our saviour, we are living as He intends us to live and life will be full.

Can you give us two or three examples of what you considered possibly toxic waters, that would make you afraid of the water? As a doctor, I can only heal what the patient is clear in defining, being ambiquous wont help the situation.

It sounds like you are going through internal turmoil of some kind at the moment, yearning to feel something or grasp something out of reach. This is not how Christ wants us to relate to Him.
Are you tense and stressed? Try sitting still and quiet and allowing His love to soak in. That is all we have to do to receive Him!
If there are issues on your mind, Brad is right, sharing them here may well help to turn 'monsters into mice'. Sharing things that are troubling us is hard. I've had to do it myself and it's a struggle but if you can pluck up courage, it really helps!

i do not know what you actually meant with a part of your comment if it is the one i am going to shed some light on then i have to disagree.

But first, would like to say:

Allright here is my opinion:

Soaking practice is not of The LORD. It is a new age / yoga style practice and it does not involve the Spirit of GOD.

It is a subtle form of meditation and mediation is very dangerous: as we should never ever quiet our minds until it becomes still!

We should rather do this as Christians with the word: "meditation": is to plan; practice, exercise myself in, study, ponder on the Word of GOD and that is Good and Safe amen

Let us take a look at the word:

3191 meletaó: to care for, practice, study

properly, to care for, attend to; hence be diligent, especially to ponder (study).

and that is certainly not some yoga style: "Try sitting still and quiet and allowing His love to soak in. That is all we have to do to receive Him!" style meditation. (if that was what you were aiming at?)

How about repent and following after His righteousness? How about Matthew 6:33 and Take up your cross daily and follow Him? No no.. says the devil you don't have to do all that.... as i have my own gospel and it is a easy listening gospel...

i sure hope this is not that what you've meant..?

We need to be diligent, careful and continue to test all things.

Yes i can understand that, but satan cannot give you the false spirit if you do not allow it and especially if you block him and not receive him. i can give you an example: i as a Spirit filled Christian can walk into a room with many demon possessed people also heavily possessed with this kundalini wickedness going on there (Todd Bently anyone?) and they might even touch me all they want but i do not want this spirit and so it will not enter, but because the people got so deceived and seduced by an evil entity they are willing to receive the false spirit and that is when this kundalini spirit enters in, because it has an open door you say yes to it and as far as i know this always involves with the help of another person or some method or thing that you need to do. Laying on of hands anyone? Amen most often dangerous! (except with a true child of God doing it, but then still Holy Ghost comes from the Father and not from a person on earth!)

But GOD Can Give you the real Holy Spirit not small letter s spirit but real Spirit of GOD big letter S that is HOLY without any man coming to you or standing near you, any man laying their hands upon you nor by you having to go to any church. i myself got born again and filled with the Holy Spirit while i cried out to The Lord Jesus Christ to come and Save me over and over! And i was at home with absolutely no one near me i was in my bedroom alone at home and the Spirit of GOD and The Lord Jesus Christ entered into that room and i got touched by GOD and immediately i was changed.

PS now the people who get the false spirit they receive / invade it from someone else who also has the demonic false spirit (kundalini spirit possession) and so then they ask the other person for the spirit by laying on of their hands and so force the false wicked spirit inside of them to come and occupy them but they cannot give the true Spirit of GOD the Holy Ghost because the True Spirit does not come from a man but always comes from The Father in Heaven! And not from wicked mortal men from this earth, as they do not have LIFE in themselves but DEATH

does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;

We must come to be able to tell the difference (discern) between what the Spirit of God is saying to us and what other spirits (not of God) are saying to us. We must be or become His sheep!

"But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:" John 10:26-27

To become a sheep you must eat properly (scripture is the best unbiases source, although a good Bible teacher or preacher can be such a source.). You must have the scripture you have consumed brought to Life (Jesus is the Life - John 11:25) within you. That is the work of the Holy Spirit:

"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." John 14:26

"Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life." II Cor 3:6

When you read the Bible, also be certain to pray talking to God and asking Him to give you whatever is needed. Get into the good habit of doing these thing daily as often as you can.

People do not forget to get in their three natural meals and more, but too often they fail to eat of the Word of God. The Holy Spirit will bring it to Life, but only if we get into that Spirit. Thus: pray and worship God. Don't wait until Sunday morning or Wednesday night, but daily seek Him.

Hi Dutch,

You are quite right to qualify my phrase, "Try sitting still and quiet and allowing His love to soak in. That is all we have to do to receive Him!"

It is indeed essential to come to Christ in humility and repentance, knowing the need to be forgiven and cleansed by Christ's blood. And certainly, discipleship is an active pursuit. He calls to a life of service to Him in the world He has placed us.

What I was trying to convey in my last post is that God is not trying to be distant or hard to draw close to. Rather, He so longs to embrace us that He sent Jesus to die for us so that we may be forgiven and embraced when we repent. As Jesus enters Jerusalem, He says, "How often I have wanted to gather your children together as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you are not willing!" (Matt 24:37) (In other gospels it tells us how He weeps at this point)

Jerusalem, the killer of prophets, is Christ's hearts desire and only their wilfulness prevents them receiving His Love. We only have to accept his sovereignty and our need for forgiveness and it is ours with all His Love!

Jara, I think maybe you strive to attain something you feel is withheld by Christ until we reach perfection, but the truth is that Christ longs to set us free from sin and embrace us in an intimate relationship once more. He loves sinners whilst we are still sinners because if He had to wait for us to be sinless on our own account, none of us would ever be ready!

Dutch is right discipleship means discipline. We are expected to 'Seek first the kingdom of God'. There are many aspects of this, Bible study and worship with fellow Christian, Pray and good works as He leads us, and also being fed.

It is this being fed that I refer to when I speak of soaking in the presence of God. Perhaps mediative prayer is a phrase less open to being misunderstood, either way the gift of His nurturing presence, the Holy Spirit, is something He longs to pour into our souls. He is a relational God. Only we limit how much we can receive by wilfully denying His sovereignty (sinning).

Lastly Jara, do not fear that you will receive evil spirits if you truly have given your life to Christ. If you are His, He has promised that nothing can take you from Him, nothing at all!

Jari, it appears that you don't grasp the Holy Trinity concept. God the Father and the Holy Spirit are not separate beings; Father, Son and holy Spirit are three persons in ONE God. So, in effect, when you pray to the Father, you are praying to the Son and the Holy Spirit at the very same time, though they can be addressed separately.

If your praying for Gods will does it matter who answers?
Are not all ministering spirits?
God sent ravens to feed a man of God who escaped to a wilderness.

Satan does not savour the things of God but of men.

Mark 8:33 But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.

Somehow we have gotten the idea that Satan wants to destroy men but Jesus claims that he(Satan) wants to exhalt men.
I seriously doubt Satan can answer any prayer at all and even if he could it he would be dividing his own house.
Satan was and is defeated by the blood of the Lamb and he(Satan) needs our belief in him or he will have no environment to live in.

The proof that Jesus exists spiritually in your heart is to know that supernatural healing from Jesus is real .:and no non -Christian can make you deny it, even if you lose faith for a while but you bounce back and stay strong in faith knowing that the world is full of problems and Jesus has to return some day to solve all our problems in his Second Coming.
Adam and Eve is responsible for releasing the sin from Satan that causes the logical disease of new matter evolving from matter known as evolution where humans evolved from the ape, and the ape had to come from the sea where bacteria exists - bacteria that is responsible for all new and weird life on Earth.
Non-Christians will sooner or later accept Jesus without procrastination because we are nearing difficult times in this modern civilization to fight global warming... and Jesus could appear the next minute/hour/day/week or year.
So stay strong in faith during this spiritual war with Satan.
