How long will it take for Christians to realize what is going on with this virus in the world and speak up? How long will you be between two opinions?

Matthew 13:11
He replied, "The knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.

Matthew 13:14
In them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled: 'You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.

Mark 4:12
so that, 'they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding; otherwise they might turn and be forgiven.'"

Acts 28:26
Go to this people and say, "You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving."

Treasury of Scripture
And he said, To you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.

Unto.

Luke 10:21-24
In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight…

Psalm 25:14
The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

Hi Plough boy, forgive me, but I fail to see the purpose of your post. You're not answering a question? It seems that it's something to do with how some veiw coronavirus, but how people are supposed to have a balanced veiw of that, when the powers that be continualy lie and the truth has yet to come to light, beats me. Maybe I've misunderstood your post? Bless you.

Yes, a bit of clarity on this would be helpful to me too. What are the two opinions you think we are divided between, and which of the two should we settle on? What do you think is going on with this virus, and what should our message to the world be?

I was responding to #20 here.

18“I have not made trouble for Israel,” Elijah replied. “But you and your father’s family have. You have abandoned the Lord’s commands and have followed the Baals. 19Now summon the people from all over Israel to meet me on Mount Carmel. And bring the four hundred and fifty prophets of Baal and the four hundred prophets of Asherah, who eat at Jezebel’s table.”

20So Ahab sent word throughout all Israel and assembled the prophets on Mount Carmel. 21Elijah went before the people and said, “How long will you waver between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him.”

Got to be honest and say that wasn't the answer I was expecting. Is Baal worship a big concern where you are? There's not much of it where I am.

We must view "Baal worship" as a symbol of "idolatry" idol worship of any kind. "Adultery" fornication, career, vacationing, institutional church, and etc....

American Standard Version
Put to death therefore your members which are upon the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, [greed] which is idolatry; (Colossians 3:5).

"There was so many different types of "Greek Gods and mostly Goddesses worshipping", that people worship by name that met something in the Apostles era:: " The God of War", the God of Travel, the God of hedonism, the God of Wisdom, the God of sacrificing children, the Goddess of Love, these pagan temples [churches] ran wild in "Rome", Corinth, Ephesus, Paul had big time troubles in these places. And Gnosticism ran great in " Colosse" Many real Christian problems are arising out of "idolatry" and they don't realize this is the root of their problems today. We praise "Idol" worship today with a badge of honor. "This is my role model" this is just one example. And Christians think these practices are harmless.

(Matthew 6).
24“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will hold to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

[ it is impossible to serve a idol and serve God to]. Because you have "Not the Ability" to do so, my brother and sisters in Christ! Why? Because God says so.
1 Corinthians 10:7
Do not be idolaters, as some of them were. As it is written: "The people sat down to eat and to drink, and got up to indulge in revelry."

1 Corinthians 10:14
Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.

1 Thessalonians 1:9
For they themselves report what kind of welcome you gave us, and how you turned away from idols to serve the living and true God

(1 John 5:21).
Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

You're taking the Baal worship a bit to the extreme. An idol is anything that a person puts In place of or before God in his life. The things you're listing // institutional church, vacationing, career // are all Needed things in our lives.

@PloughBoy do you think this virus is God's judgement for adultery, fornication, idolising the intitutulional church, vacations and career?

Did not I say: referring to the form of symbolization

@PloughBoy, your question in the opening post is 'How long will it take for Christians to realize what is going on with this virus in the world and speak up?'

What do you think is going on, and what do you believe we Christians should be saying as we speak up?

I title this thread on "April 22, 2020 after observing the spread of covid-19 back in early 2019 and and ticks infestation of wild life in the eastern northern parts of the USA, the locust epidemic in Africa, the floods, fires, Tornados and Volcanos on the arise all over the world. And it would seem like as a whole "Christians" would express concerns in a "biblical motif" fashion. Instead of aways saying everything is going to be alright, we just have to stick together and encourage one another and everything will be alright right.

But since I title this post back on April 22, 2020. Christians are speaking up now. Those who are in leadership has address concerns now.

What do I think is going on with this virus? I think the justification for "Christians" is that the Bible is true, and because We know GOD is "Sovereign" and most don't because we can tell by the words that come forth out of their mouths. But we are here to declare also "The Sovereignty of God", especially within the structure of "Covid-19". And we are not afraid.

Now, have you grown a little, since the onslaught of "covid-19" in light of "Holy Scripture"? Or are you still stumbling in the dark? And have your knowledge of who, GOD the Father is, grown? And have you determine in your mind, Who is in Control and everything is happening according to His, will?

(Hab 3).
17Even though the fig trees have no fruit
and no grapes grow on the vines,
even though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no grain,
even though the sheep all die
and the cattle stalls are empty,

18I will still be joyful and glad,
because the LORD God is my savior.

19 The Sovereign LORD gives me strength.
He makes me sure-footed as a deer
and keeps me safe on the mountains.

But remember, that does not mean, you have no tears.

(Psalms 126).
5They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
6He that goes forth weeping, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing in his sheaves!
