Amen! There is way to many rules and regulations that are "man made" in the "church" today. Well, not just today! When the book of discipline for a denomination is thicker than the Bible that it should be based on, there is question as to why!

Basically I agree that the head position should be male since the priest, pastor, whatever, is a stand in for Christ. Just makes better symbology. And God did pick Arron, and not his wife to be the High Priest. But let's leave leglism.
Women should be missionaries, deconesses, elders, teachers, nuns and all that sort of thing. The more the merrier. Wish I had a better quote in that last sentence, but I think you get the idea.

I think that the head position should be Jesus, since He is our great high priest. This applies to men and women, both saved and unsaved, and it depends on what HE wants done in a persons life that really matters. If Jesus wants a woman to lead, to speak, to heal, to preach to the crowds... then thats between him and her. The reason behind my thinking is simple.
HE IS LORD - NOT me, NOT you. And it's HIS WILL BE DONE, not what we think HIS WILL for someone else should be, that matters.
If Jesus were to ask you to preach to someone who wolud kill you, because of the fact that you're a christian, would you do as you're told or would you listen to others who like the pharasees in the old days, thought they knew what was best for you.?
