Words are words.
These words you quoted were written by a murderer and an adulterer.
Words are not deeds. That is why we are to be judged to salvation or damnation by what we do-works. There is no easy believism. There is no free pass. Repent, make ammends if you need, and pray. Judgement is only a life away.
Hebrews 6:6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. 7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. 8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: 9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. 10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: 11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. 12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. 13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
This is the new Covenant testifying to what God is going to do. How can man add to it with their filthy rags of righteousness by adding a pledge to God as if God needs a pledge from them to do His Covenant? Where in God's New Covenant is He asking man anything to do like making a pledge? Nowhere in sight. Was hat an oversight or is He telling us He is going tio do this from which all a child can do is believe Him. So you better believer Him.
Hebrews 4:1What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?
2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.
3 For what saith the scripture?
Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
Easy believism in Jesus Christ as our Savior that He will save all those who believe in Him is for salvation just as easy believism in Him as our Good Shepherd is how we follow Him, because we are taking Him at His Word, the New Covenant, that He is going to do it.
Easy believism as it is applied today as if no one has to do good after they are saved is NOT the easy believism in the Bible. The esy believism in the Bible has the just living by faith in Jesus Christ for all things, that they are saved simply for believing in Him and they can follow Him by believing Him to be our Good Shepherd & Friend to help us to follow Him because that is what a Good Shepherd does to His sheep. Do you believe Him as able to do that or do you still believe you have to resort to your own power by your religious flesh and will power to follow Him?
We are heirs by what God has done in giving us that seal of adoption, the Holy Spirit, when we had believed in Jesus Christ for salvation.
Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
You are in a spirit of bondage to fear because you believe works is required from you that you must keep or lose your salvation, rather than just to trust Him at His Word that you are saved and with the Holy Spirit in you is proof that you are forever His.
Whether or not we be received by Him as that vessel unto honor in His House to attend the Marriage Supper by believing in Him to help us abide in Him as His disciples OR we be denied by Him for being in unrepentant iniquity still when the Bridegroom had come, thus become castaways from which are the vessels unto dishonor,
BUT they are still in His House & thus they are still saved.
The prodigal son have given up his first inheritance to wild living and can never get it back like Esau for his birthrights, but he will find that he is still son. Better to depart from iniquity with His help now rather than the hard way.
1 John 3:3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure..... 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning.
For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
2 Timothy 4: 18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Jude 1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, 25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
I thank the Lord Jesus Christ & the Father in His name that He has helped me to put all of my hopes on Him for all things. I pray that some day, He will help you do the same, hopefully before He comes as the Bridegroom, because He will finish His work even in those unrepentant saints & former believers left behind, but it is a damnation in becoming vessels unto dishonor in His House.
2 Timothy 2:18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some. 19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. 21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
So those that do not look to Him for help in discerning iniquity and to depart from them, they will be denied by Him for being workers of iniquity, and left behind to die, but by becoming vessels unto dishonor in His House for why their spirits will be with the Lord in Heaven awaiting for their resurrection after the great tribulation.
2 Corinthians 5:7
(For we walk by faith, not by sight 8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. 11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.
