Is it correct to call the Holy spirit "Lord"?

Not open for further replies.
There is only 1 mediator (although the Roman Catholics would say Mary is). But there isn't only one intercessor.
Intercessors are those who pray, as in making intercessions or prayer requests.
Rom 8:26; In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words;
Rom 8:27; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
Rom 8:34; who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.
Using the KJV because that and a few ither modern versions aligns with the truth in John 16:13 as found in all Bibles that the Holy Spirit cannot speak from Himself but speak what He hears.

Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

KJV aligns with John 16:13 in all Bibles in maintaining the truth in His words that the Holy Spirit cannot even utter His groanings from Himself in verse 26. In verse 27, the "he:" who searches our hearts is Jesus Christ per Hebrews 4:12-16 and He is that "he" that also knows the mind of the Spirit for it is Jesus that intercedes for the saints in according to the will of God being as He is the only Mediator between God ad man. That is how the Spirit's unuttered and unspoken intercessions are known to the Father by Jesus knowing the mind of the Spirit to give the silent intercessions of the Spirit's to the Father from that throne of grace.

Whenever the Father says yes to any of those intercessions presented by Jesus, be it our own, or the Spirit's or His own, the Son answers the prayers so the father may be glorified in the Son for answers to prayers John 14:13-14 and the Spirit's involvement in that is giving the Son all the credit & glory for answers to prayers and all that is done in ministry for words, gifts, and fruits of the Spirit per John 16:13-15

John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Romans 8:34 from within your quote really belongs with the other references below since it is about Jesus Christ.

There is a difference between an intercessor and a mediator.

1Tim 2:5; For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
Heb 8:6; But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, by as much as He is also the mediator of a better covenant, which has been enacted on better promises.
Heb 9:15; For this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant, so that, since a death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were committed under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.
Heb 12:24; and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks better than the blood of Abel.
I understand your point of view, but when it comes to Him being the Mediator, all intercessions are presented by the Son at that throne of grace as He alone is the One that answers prayers to the glory of God the Father.

John 14:
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

Thank you for sharing, May God cause the increase.

The Holy Spirit has sentience since He serves as a separate Witness to count as an extra Witness within the Godhead and He can be grieved for why we should not defile our temple of God with works of the flesh or iniquities. Ephesians 4:30

What is being overlooked is what the Holy Spirt has been sent to do in us in leading us to do the same and that is to testify of the Son thru us ( John 15:26-27 ) to glorify the Son ( John 16:14 ) and that has to include worship for why we see no verses teaching the practice of worshiping the Holy Spirit with the Father & the Son as the Nicene creed of 381 A.D. has misled, but the only way to come to God the Father in worship, prayer, & fellowship is by the Son ( John 14:6 & John 10:1 ) & the only way to honor the Father is by only honoring the Son ( John 5:22-23 ) & that is what the Holy Spirit has been sent to do in leading us to have that mind of Christ in worship which is to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:5-10

The Spirit of God has no form of man but the Father and the Son did for why the Son, as the Word of God, made the request to the Father to make man after "our image" and after "our likeness" and so as the One God, man was created in His image and after His likeness.

Man was created after the image & likeness of God so man is not doing that the other way around.

Indeed, the Word of God have become flesh and dwelt among us but He had existed before His incarnation as the Son of Man as seen in the Old testament as the God men had seen.

Jesus The God That Men Had Seen In The O.T.
The Son of man appeared as a theophany or vision using Melchezedek to represent the Son of God or Spirit of sonship by which all who do the will of God cry out Abba father .not as I will but you the one with power

Flesh and blood were needed for the one time demonstration of the father working in the Son of man todo what the letter of the law (death) could not do give new spirit life.. again a theophany or vision could not create new life flesh and blood was needed to fulfil the promised one time demonstration

The father did not become the Son of man , Jesus our brother in the Lord

Eternal God without mother and father without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; remained God who works in all born again from above.

The image and likeness is not in respect to the corrupter powerless flesh (the temporal) in which the eye see. Te walk by faith the unseen .

Those that do walk by sight from their own imagination create a legion of gods in the likeness of men Called blasphemy attributing the unseen power work of God faithfulness to fallen mankind .

Mankind attributing the unseen works of the gospel to the hands of sinners

Acts14: 7-14 And there they preached the gospel. And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked: The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked. And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men. And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker.
Then the priest of Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen and garlands unto the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the people. Which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out,

Big difference between the image and likeness of God who has no form and that which does have form. A creation .

Big difference between the image and likeness of God who has no form and that which does have form. A creation .
In one of the appearances of the Lord to Abraham, Abraham prepared a meal and drink for the Lord and the Lord did eat and drank, and so that is proof that the Son of God had a celestial body that appeared before men to be seen by men in the Old Testament before He became incarnated as the prophesied Son of man to give His life as a ransom for many.

Genesis 18:1And the Lord appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day; 2 And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground, 3 And said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant: 4 Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree: 5 And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said. 6 And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth. 7 And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetcht a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it. 8 And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.

And if you still have doubt that the God men had seen in the Old Testament had a physical form that can eat & drink and be felt, Jacob wrestled with the Lord face to face and lived.

Genesis 32:24 And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. 25 And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. 26 And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. 27 And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. 28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. 29 And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there. 30 And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.

Therefore man was created after the image & likeness of God as it was written.

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Genesis 18 a excellent "parable" giving us the gospel understanding .

God is not a man .He neither eats nor drinks or sleeps . Like David replied in the Psalms .When I awake he is still there working comforting, bringing to our memory the previous things he has taught us. .

Eating can represent doing the will of another. Jesus said to the apostles who had brought food .He replied ; His food or daily bread was to do the will of the father .

Three men stood by him: and when he saw them. (three men )

And set it before them; and he stood by them (three) under the tree, and they (three) did eat. three can denote the end of a matter. The witness of two or three

God can send a vision or theophany like with Melchezedek or using Moses and Elias as a theophany to represent all things written in the law and prophets (sola scriptura)

Sola scriptura the two witnesses that God has spoken. .. as it is written the power of God it makes the devil flee.

Where in scripture does it teach for you to GO TO the Holy Spirit in prayer when Jesus Christ is at that throne of grace per Hebrews 4:12-16 for why there is only one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5 ?

It is Jesus Christ that gives our intercessions in searching our hearts, the Spirit's unuttered and silent intercessions, and even His own intercessions to the Father so that when the Father agrees to any of those intercessions, the Son answers the prayers and the Holy Spirit in all that He says and does, gives the credit & glory to Jesus Christ.

John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. 14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

John 16:
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

All the fruits of the Spirit, all the words of the Spirit, a;; the gifts of the Spirit are from Jesus Christ as Lord and Head of the Church as Jesus Christ is the author & finisher of our faith as He will finish His work in us to His glory.

Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:.... 11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

Hebrews 12:1Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Matthew 12:1-7 testifies why we are guiltless for profaning the sabbath day because our bodies are the temples of the holy Spirit per 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 & Jesus Christ is in us 2 Corinthians 13:5 & with us always Matthew 28:20.

We are to call on the Bridegroom, the Son of God, our Good Shepherd & Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, for how we are to live this reconciled relationship with God thru Jesus Christ. John 14:6 No other way John 10:1

The real indwelling Holy Ghost & scripture are still pointing believers to go to the Son for life. Jesus Christ relates to us through the Spirit of Christ in us, but our response & focus is back to the Bridegroom.
you are all mixed up, confused. There is One Elohim of whom we know in Three Distinct Persons, The Father, The Son, and Ruah. Ruah is present in every Believer and it is through Him that we communicate with Yashua and YHWH.

Jesus say in is word; if u have know me u have know the Father, God is God him self, Jesus Christ is God and the Holy Ghost is God they are all ONE, and ONE God is Lord

Should we call the Holy spirit "Lord"?--Because from my understanding the Holy spirit is the presence of Christ within us Born again believers-- even the presence of God.

Also explain the nature of God-- or the "Trinity" as most christian s call the Godhead.

Thank you,
Warm regards!
Of course its proper..The Holy Spirit is God!!

Genesis 18 a excellent "parable" giving us the gospel understanding .
It is not a parable but a historical event. may the Lord help you to consider that the Lord is trying to teach you something to grow in the knowledge of Him to bear more fruit since man was created after His image & His likeness.
God is not a man .He neither eats nor drinks or sleeps .
Abraham was talking to the Lord when he had said this to the Lord.

The man Christ Jesus is the only Mediator between God and man, 1 Timothy 2:5 That means all prayers are answered by the Son of God so that the Father may be glorified in the Son for answers to prayers John 14:13-14

The Holy Spirit serves as the Spirit of Christ in that whatever He hears from Jesus Christ, He speaks His words to us for the words are not the Spirit's words, but the words of Christ; John 16:13-15

Therefore your response is back to the Son of God, the Bridegroom, for how you are married to God. That is Who the Holy Spirit in you is still pointing you to g to in order to avoid the spirits of the antichrist whereas antichrist as applied in scripture means :instead of Christ" or to be more precise in your case for your correction, "instead of the Son" and so that is wat the spirit of the antichrist will do, in taking your focus off of the Son in your relationship with the Father.

So stop putting the spotlight on the Holy Spirit Who dwells in us because that visiting phenomenon that makes their presence known outside of us with signs & lying wonders is not the Holy Spirit when He has been dwelling within us since salvation at the calling of the gospel for why there is no necessity for the Holy Spirit to be felt outside of us where the spirits of the antichrist dwells. ( 1 John 4:1-4 & John 14:17 & 2 Corinthians 13:5 )

The real holy Spirit is not leading you to put the spotlight on Himself nor come in between you & Jesus when He is serving as the Spirit of Christ so you can relate to the Bridegroom, the Lord Jesus Christ. Only the spirits of the antichrist wants to get in between you and Jesus to make you follow a stranger's voice, tongues without interpretation ( John 10:1-9 ) and thus assumed in error for private use when it is not of Him at all and neither that spirit that brought that tongue ( Isaiah 8:19 & 1 Timothy 4:1-2 & 1 John 4:1-4 )

Seek His face only; in living that reconciled relationship with God the father through Jesus Christ because the Bridegroom will be coming soon and unless those astray depart from iniquity, they risk being left behind at the rapture event to die ( Revelation 2:18-25 ) , but their spirits will be with the Lord in heaven ( 2 Corinthians 5:7-11 ) to await their resurrection after the great tribulation ( Revelation 20:4-6 ) as vessels unto dishonor in His House ( 2 Timothy 2:19-21 )..

The Bible provides more than one level of understanding. Digging for Gold or a Pearl of great price as the understanding of God hid, is necessary.

Without historallly true parables Christ spoke not He hid the gospel understanding of faith from them who refuse to do the work of searching for the understandings of faith , Christ in us . They did not mix faith the unseen things of God with the temporal seen They had no rest that comes from being yoked with him hearing the gospel (Hebrews 4:1-2)

Again "face to face" is the same thing as "faith to faith" in the knowlgge of God .God has no form but is able to create it as a work of His faith or labor of His love.

Learning how to mix faith as our daily bread is a lifetime work. The entrance of his living abiding word brings light .

Hebrews 4:1-2 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

Parables are prophecy the signified tongue of God

Abraham was talking to the apostle as a prophet of Lord( men) communing with men sharing the gift of prophecy just as they shred food. .God is not a man as us .He is the Spirit of truth that dwells in dying mankind empowering them to both hear and empower to to do the good will of the unseen Lord

Is not Jesus Lord to the glory of God the Father?

Philippians 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Is not Jesus seen by men when He was upon the earth? Was not Jesus seen at His resurrection & His ascension to the Father? Will not Jesus return in like manner to be seen?

1 Timothy 1:16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. 17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Is not the King of kings testified as presently invisible meaning presently unseen at the moment?

Maybe you are reading His words wrong? Can the image of the invisible God be visible or invisible?

Colossians 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: 15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

If One is the image of the invisible God as you seem to imply God as the unseen God, would that not make Jesus invisible? So Jesus having been seen and the image of the presently not seen God the Father, is visible as we shall see the Father one day in Heaven to ask Him directly without needing Jesus Christ to ask for us. Indeed, the presently unseen Jesus Christ shall be seen again as we shall see the Father in Heaven in that day when Jesus brings us Home above.

John 16:22 And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.

23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. 25 These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father. 26 At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you: 27 For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God. 28 I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

So where does this error of yours comes from? This error comes from the many teachers that take Jesus's words "God is a Spirit" out of context by assuming that God the Father has no image nor likeness from which man was created after also when in actuality, Jesus is answering the Samaritan woman's question as to WHERE to worship God at by referring to how God the Father is Omnipresence, meaning no longer confined to a specific place of worship..

John 4:19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet. 20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.

21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. 23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. 26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.

Since God the Father is Omnipresence, how can believers come to God the Father any where in worship? By coming to the Son in honoring the Son in worship and thereby honoring God the Father.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Jesus, the Son of God, is the only way for sinners and saved believers to approach God the Father for anything; not by way of the Holy Spirit, but by the only way of the Son. This is the standard of judgment raised over all saved believers on whether or not they continue to honor the Son as the only way to come to God the Father by or commit spiritual adultery & thus committing an act of iniquity by climbing up another way in seeking to relate to God the Father by as some do by seeking another baptism with the Holy Ghost by that sign of tongues for private use, thus following a stranger's voice for climbing up another way and after another gospel.

John 5
:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: 23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

John 10:1Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. 2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. 4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. 5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

6 This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them. 7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. 8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

The real God's gift of tongues are for speaking unto the people; not for the Holy Spirit to use for speaking back to God which proves that tongue is not of Him nor that extra notable phenomenon that had brought it.

Anyway, "God is a Spirit" is referring to God as being Omnipresence and NOT inferring whatsoever that the Father cannot be seen at all when one day He shall be seen for then we will not need Jesus to ask for us because the Father loves us that we can ask Him directly when we are in Heaven.

Yes the Son of man Jesus reflected the glory of the father in the same way the moon reflects the light of the Sun . The moon has no light of its own. Just as the Son of man who cried out father not as I will but you the one with power .

Is not Jesus seen by men when He was upon the earth? Was not Jesus seen at His resurrection & His ascension to the Father? Will not Jesus return in like manner to be seen?

He was seen by all men some did understand it was the Lord working in the Son of man, Jesus to both reveal and empower . But when he left he left clear instruction the one time promised demonstration of the lamb slain from the foundation (6days) when God was working and therefore we know him that way never again God is not a man .He is the Holy Spirit of all truth that works in mankind .

2 Corinthians 5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

Christians can see God face to face (faith to faith) in his revealed knowledge ,

When we think of invisible God remember its his living knowledge he brings to our memory .. no form needed to those who walk by faith (the unseen)

John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

The real God's gift of tongues are for speaking unto the people; not for the Holy Spirit to use for speaking back to God which proves that tongue is not of Him nor that extra notable phenomenon that had brought it.
No such thing as a sign gift . I did it, it proves (self edification )

Tongues is prophecy as it is written .

For one thing new prophecy is not possible. The last book is still Revelation sealed with 7 seals till the end of time under the Sun.

When God did perform his promise of the "law of interpretation" (scripture alone) it exposed those who mocked the word of God making it without effect so that they could rather follow the tradition of corrupted dying mankind . I heard it through the grapevine.

When God put his words of prophecy on the lips of his apostle Peter .Peter spoke in his own language the Spirit of Christ interpreted or translated it into any language .

Those in who the law (Isaiah 28) was against thought Peter was drunk. Again Peter spoke in their language. God hid the understanding mocking those who mock Him.

Remember the apostles planted the incorruptible born again seed and other waters it with the water of the living Word as doctrines of God that fall like rain from above .But they are considered as nothing .Christ must do the work of causing increase if any .Without Christ working in us we can do nothing zero

The foundation of the doctrine must be sought out

Isaiah 28:9 -13 The people say, “Who does he think he is trying to teach and explain his message to? Does he think we are babies who were at their mother’s breast only a very short time ago? He speaks to us as though we were babies:

“Saw lasaw saw lasawQaw laqaw qaw laqawZe’er sham ze’er sham.”

So God will use this strange way of talking, and he will use other languages to speak to these people. In the past he spoke to them and said, “Here is a resting place. Let those who are tired come and rest. This is the place of peace.”But they would not listen to him. 13 So the Lord’s words will be senseless sounds to them:

“Saw lasaw saw lasaw.Qaw laqaw qaw laqaw.Ze’er sham ze’er sham.”

When the people try to walk, they will fall backwards. (slain in the Spirit) They will be defeated, trapped, and captured.

God simply does not give them his understanding or interpretation

Again when the Holy Spirit hid the understanding they thought Peter was drunk when he spoke (“Saw lasaw saw lasaw.Qaw laqaw qaw laqaw.Ze’er sham ze’er sham.”) They walked away faithless slain in the Spirit

Yes the Son of man Jesus reflected the glory of the father in the same way the moon reflects the light of the Sun . The moon has no light of its own. Just as the Son of man who cried out father not as I will but you the one with power .

I & scripture disagree with your assessment because Jesus is the Light sent into the world and John the Baptist was sent to bear witness of Jesus as that Light that lighteth every man.

~~~~~~~
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
~~~~~~~~~

Since Jesus is the "true light" that lighteth every man, then He is not a "reflection" of the "light" as if being of the Father only as you had applied since it is the Father's will for Jesus to be that Light sent into the world.

When you consider the Word of God as being Jesus Christ doing the will of the Father, and saying the words of the Father, then the Father sent Jesus to be that Light that ligheth every man into the world when they believe in Him to be saved.

So now that Jesus Christ has ascended, He is the Head of the Church, the body of believers and He is Lord over the Church as all power was given unto Him.

Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Whereas the Holy Spirit in ministry would defer all credit & glory to the Son for the words, the fruits, and the gifts of the Holy Spirit so that all eyes are ever toward the Son in coming to God the Father in honoring the Son because honoring the Son is the only way to honor the Father to His glory as this is the standard of judgment on every believer to prevent coming to God the Father by way of the Holy Ghost when there is no other way in coming to God the Father by.

John 5:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: 23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

John 5:22 is proof that all power is given unto the Son for judgment as it is the Father's will and Jesus will judge according to the Father's will as to who did not honor the Father by only honoring the Son as led by the Spirit of God to do.

So the Holy Spirit as the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ, is not teaching believers to call the Holy Spirit "Lord" but the Spirit is being a direct Witness of & from the Lord Jesus Christ in testifying of the Son that He is Lord to the glory of God the Father as scriptures says for that mind of Christ we are to have in worship in obedience as it is the Lord Jesus Christ as God that is working in us.

Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:..... 11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

So those led by the Holy Spirit in us & scripture will not be led by the Holy Spirit to call the Holy Spirit "Lord" but calling Jesus Christ the Son of God as Lord to the glory of God the Father as Jesus as God is working in us.

You're correct in saying that we call Jesus Lord....Jesus is our Lord but He is God, the same as the Father is God, the same as the Holy Spirit is God....They are one...Therefore you can also claim rightlly that you have the Trinity residing in you...else you got gyped,,,You invited Jesus into your heart and only got the Holy Spirit? You wound up with God in your heart....Call Him Lord

In according to our faith, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and God the Father is in us as the Three Witnesses within the One "God" is with us in that way testifying that we are His and thus saved.

2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. 25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.

26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

But according to the will of God the Father in how we will be judged, if we wish to honor the Father, we can only honor the Son, as we are led by the Spirit of God to testify of the Son, in order to glory the Son which is to the glory of God the Father.

John 5:
22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: 23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: 27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.

Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. 12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Paul had stressed this emphasis to the Philippian saints for having that mind of Christ in worship while in his absence, to confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. We should heed that emphasis because there is no other way to approach God the Father in worship and that means the holy Spirit is not another way to come to God the Father by when the Holy Spirit in us is still pointing us to go to the Bridegroom in coming to the Father.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 10:1Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.... 7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

It is a work of iniquity to put any focus on the Holy Spirit in worship or to see "visitations" of the Holy Spirit by signs & lying wonders when the real holy Spirit is in us still pointing saved believers to go to the Bridegroom in coming to God the Father by because the Bridegroom will be coming soon for the abiding bride of Christ. The consequence for not striving to enter thru that straight gate is to be left behind as workers of iniquity.

Luke 13:
24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. 25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: 26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. 27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. 28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out. 29 And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God. 30 And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.
