Is the Enemy Camped around You?

Jesus is Lord!

Brothers and Sisters,

The testimony of John the Baptist and Jesus' victory over sin and death is what "stirs" my heart today. Glory!

You do understand all who are in Christ have this sme authority and power?

Yes, I understand. What is your motive here?

Did you read all of my posts? I think you missed my point.

didn't mean to upset you, just that the wording seemed to imply that that authority was limited to Jesus and His disciples at that time. My motive is to grow in the Truth

I am not upset. I am curious to know if you read all of my posts prior to posting the question to me?

Sometimes people lecture to a subject without having all the information.

Is your motive that you grow in the truth (personally) or to correct me, so that I may grow in the truth?

You did not reply with anything uplifting? I do not think you really care about what I wrote.

I desire truth as well.

When I saw the title

Is the Enemy Camped around You?
my first thought was:

Psalm 34:7
The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

When His delivering power is here the enemy has to run and he has no place in my life. Praise Jesus!

My point is that Satan often will distract us from what we should be doing in our service for the Lord. He wants to disrupt our ministry. Yes, we have authority over him; however, it is not always best to engage with him. We need to stay focused on what God has called us to do. We will have the victory in the end.

Bless you, Brother.

Hi burgeon

Can you explain what you meant by the above quote? Since we have authority over the enemy and he is disrupting and distracting us from what we are to be doing for the Lord, then why shouldn't we take authority over him? If we dont, wouldnt he just walk all over us and hinder us from doing God's work? ? I dont understand this. Please explain. Thank you.

God bless you

What did Jesus do when He heard that John the Baptist had been beheaded? Do you understand the implications of this event? If so, please explain.

Thank you for this courtesy.

Focus, focus, focus, focus, focus, on what God has called you to do and not on what the enemy is doing to disrupt you.

The death of John the Baptist is a very significant event in history.

Matt. 14:10And he sent, and beheaded John in the prison.

11And his head was brought in a charger, and given to the damsel: and she brought it to her mother.

12And his disciples came, and took up the body, and buried it, and went and told Jesus.

13When Jesus heard of it, he departed thence by ship into a desert place apart: and when the people had heard thereof, they followed him on foot out of the cities.

14And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.

Then that evening He fed the 5000.

When we have Jesus, we certainly have authority over satan for sure, hands down. Jesus said it Himself. The only time we lose authority is when we sin, surely we get this authority again once we walk on to repentance and ask GOD for forgiveness.

The Holy Spirit dwells within us, so where's the challenge? satan flees like a coward in the night

Amen Chad

Jesus taught his dicisples of the authority they have thru His power.

I see statements like this in forums over and again. I often find resisting enemy power challenging--very challenging, and I think that is consistent with Scripture.

Matthew 17:14-21, would indicate that there is quite a struggle involved at times. (And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him..this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting).

II Corinthians 11:23-27 seems to indicate the apostle Paul also had struggles with demons that were challenging, being whipped even with rods, stoned, ship wrecked, consantly in peril, in pain, weary, and at times cold, hungry, and having to fast often.

Daniel 10:13, in explaining why the answer to Daniel's prayer was delayed also seems to indicate the struggle may be difficult. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, on of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.

I have found that the more effective I am in representing the kingdom, the greater the power that comes against me. Learning how to be effective in overcoming that power requires maturity and experience, and it is a process. I think that the details on overcoming are something that should be part of a long conversation. I'm still looking to learn more about it, and I'm no novice at it. However, it seems some people have an annointing for overcoming opposition.

Regards,

Paul
