I have even heard here at TJ, that Jesus is not God. I , for one, this is evidence that Jesus is exactly who he said he was.
  • God is the "I Am"! Exodus 3: 14 God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'I AM has sent me to you.'"
  • Jesus is the "I Am":
John 6: 35 I am the bread of life
John 8: 12 I am the light of the world
John 8: 58 Before Abraham was, I am
John 10:9 I am the door
John 10:11 I am the good shepherd
John 11:25 I am the resurrection and the life
John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life
John 15:1 I am the true vine

So, Jesus is telling us he is God and that is true as far as we are concerned. Spiritually, the Bible tells us that, God , Jesus and the Holy Spirit are the same, yet they are different. The Trinity: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Sprit. God is the God Head. We have no more chance of truly understanding exactly how this works, no more than we can explain any of God's mysteries or miracles.
Here is something, that somewhat helps me grasp what is going on: 1 Corinthians 15: 24...Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power.
To me Jesus is God. But, this scripture opens up my knowledge that there is a whole lot more to it than that. Here, towards the end of the world, it is like Jesus has completed his final task and turns over everything to God (The father) which seems to make them separate. Lets. see: Jesus creates the world, saves us if we allow him, destroys the world and the steps down and gives everything to God so he can be the all in all: 1 Corinthians 15:28. It boggles the mind what happens next!

The Pharisees asked Jesus if he lived before Abraham--alls I see in his answer is that he answered them.
The Hebrew language says at exodus 3:14 means something other than I am that I Am. More like I shall prove to be what I shall prove to be.

So I do not believe Jesus was claiming to be God by answering the Pharisees honestly in his statement. not one of those statements did Jesus claim to be God in your John posts---- But at John 17:1-6,--Jesus teaches clearly--the one who sent him is-THE ONLY TRUE GOD--there are a few spots that teach--the Father sent Jesus--so Jesus was teaching the Father is the only true God. Jesus and all his real teachers teach this-- John 20:17, Rev 3:12---2Cor 1:3, 1Cor 8:6, 1Cor 15:24-28--1Peter 1:3---Rev 1:6--all 100% in agreement--Jesus has a God-his Father--now isn't the rule if another gospel is being preached besides what Jesus and the apostles taught--it was not truth. Gods word teaches only 2 witnesses are needed--I showed you 4.

  • Jesus is God
The Bible never records Jesus saying the precise words, “I am God.” That does not mean, however, that He did not proclaim that He is God. Take for example Jesus’ words in John 10:30, “I and the Father are one.” We need only to look at the Jews’ reaction to His statement to know He was claiming to be God. They tried to stone Him for this very reason: “You, a mere man, claim to be God” (John 10:33). The Jews understood exactly what Jesus was claiming—deity. When Jesus declared, “I and the Father are one,” He was saying that He and the Father are of one nature and essence.John 8:58 is another example. Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth … before Abraham was born, I am!” Jews who heard this statement responded by taking up stones to kill Him for blasphemy, as the Mosaic Law commanded (Leviticus 24:16).

John reiterates the concept of Jesus’ deity: “The Word [Jesus] was God” and “the Word became flesh” (John 1:1,14). These verses clearly indicate that Jesus is God in the flesh.Acts 20:28 tells us, “Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.” Who bought the church with His own blood? Jesus Christ. And this same verse declares that God purchased His church with His own blood. Therefore, Jesus is God!

Thomas the disciple declared concerning Jesus, “My Lord and my God” (John 20:28). Jesus does not correct him.Titus 2:13 encourages us to wait for the coming of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ (see also 2 Peter 1:1). In Hebrews 1:8, the Father declares of Jesus, “But about the Son he says, ‘Your throne, O God, will last forever and ever, and righteousness will be the scepter of your kingdom.’” The Father refers to Jesus as “O God,” indicating that Jesus is indeed God.

In Revelation, an angel instructed the apostle John to only worship God (Revelation 19:10). Several times in Scripture Jesus receives worship (Matthew 2:11;14:33;28:9,17;Luke 24:52;John 9:38). He never rebukes people for worshiping Him. If Jesus were not God, He would have told people to not worship Him, just as the angel in Revelation did. There are many other passages of Scripture that argue for Jesus’ deity.

The most important reason that Jesus has to be God is that, if He is not God, His death would not have been sufficient to pay the penalty for the sins of the world (1 John 2:2). A created being, which Jesus would be if He were not God, could not pay the infinite penalty required for sin against an infinite God. Only God could pay such an infinite penalty. Only God could take on the sins of the world (2 Corinthians 5:21), die, and be resurrected, proving His victory over sin and death.
  • You have heard of God incarnate before, right?
The Latin verb incarnare meant “to make flesh.” When we say that Jesus Christ is God “Incarnate,” we mean that the Son of God took on a fleshly, bodily form (John 1:14). However, when this happened in the womb of Mary, Jesus’ earthly mother, He did not stop being deity. Although Jesus became fully human (Hebrews 2:17), He retained His status as God (John 1:1,14). How Jesus is able to be both man and God simultaneously is one of the great mysteries of Christianity but is nevertheless a test of orthodoxy (1 John 4:2;2 John 1:7). Jesus has two distinct natures, divine and human. “Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me” (John 14:11).

The scholared theologians of Jesus day were apostocised--they were in error about everything they said about Jesus. They called his new religion a sect--they taught he recieved his power from satan, and confused what Jesus said by saying he was making himself equal with God--they were wrong about everything they thought about Jesus--nothing they said could be trusted as true.
Jesus did teach--I and the Father are one--he also said--the Father is greater than I--both while mortal.--which proves--one meant in purpose--because Gods word goes on to say--we all will be one with the Father and the son--in purpose--living to do Gods will 24/7--365 as Jesus does.
All of Gods ways are justice( Deut 32:4) this means------- a sinless mortal rebelled and sinned against God--justice = a sinless mortal( not God) lived a sinless existence and paid the wages of sin( death) he did not owe--thus presenting this sacrifice to his Father to redeem mankind. As well in the wilderness--satan tempted Jesus--if Jesus were God--he wouldn't have bothered wasting his time--as well Gods word teaches--as a mortal--Jesus was made lower than the angels--proving they bowed in obeisance--not worship as presented in trinity translating error. The greek word proskenau--carries 4 meanings from greek to English
1) worship to God--2) obeisance to a king--plus 2 others--the Messiah is Gods appointed king--he received obeisance, not worship.

If you believe Jesus and his real teachers--this is 100% truth---John 20:17, Rev 3:12---2Cor 1:3, 1Cor 8:6, 1Cor 15:24-28--1Peter 1:3--Rev 1:6--Jesus has a God-his Father=YHWH(Jehovah)

If Jesus were God--he already would be king--but he wasn't--he had to be appointed to a kingship( Daniel 7:13-15) he has to hand it back to his God and Father and subject himself forever-1Cor 15:24-28)

trinity translations are erred.

and confused what Jesus said by saying he was making himself equal with God--they were wrong about everything they thought about Jesus--nothing they said could be trusted as true.

They weren't confused. If they were confused, Jesus would have corrected them. They understood quite correctly that Jesus was making himself equal with God.

You remind me of a quote/prophecy I just read the other day from Kenneth Copeland, saying this as if Jesus himself were saying the following:

" 'You remember in my word I said to my disciples, this kind comes not out but by prayer and fasting.' He's talking now about the power of prayer. He goes on, 'Don't be disturbed (this is Jesus) when people accuse you of being God . the more you get to be like me (Jesus) the more there going to think that way of you. They crucified Me for claiming that I was God. But I didn’t claim I was God; I just claimed I walked with Him and that He was in Me. Hallelujah.' "

This is heresy of the worst kind.

The Trinity is an accurate and correct view of the Godhead. To deny it, and Jesus's equality with the Father, always leads to outright and complete apostasy.

They were saying--Jesus received his power from satan--they called his new religion a sect--they were liars about Jesus every step of the way. If you believe one thing they said you must believe all they were saying then--hearts filled with hatred have 0 truth in them.
If Jesus is Equal--then why does he subject himself forever after handing the kingdom back to his God and Father? 1Corinthians 15:24-28--these words are truth.

Jesus never once corrected the single being mono God YHWH(Jehovah) he was taught in the synagogues his first 30 years, because its the true God--this is bottom line reality--John 4:22-24---

Trinity translations are filled with error to mislead --- Catholicism translated trinity translation to fit council teachings--the originals were destroyed before anyone else could translate--they had 0 clue except for Catholicism translating. they never fixed the errors.

If you believe one thing they said you must believe all they were saying then--hearts filled with hatred have 0 truth in them.

That's just terrible logic no matter how you swing it.

Isaiah 9
6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Jesus is, The mighty God.

You truly do not understand God. What do you think that Jesus was God incarnate means?
They will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings--and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers (Rev. 17:14).

It says his name will be called those things, not him personally--there is a big difference. And Gods word teaches--Phillipians 2:9--God kindly gave him the name that is above every other name. See the words God gave., it was obviously excluding Gods name. Gods word teaches--God gives everything to Jesus, teaches Jesus everything as well as shares with Jesus---- God is a separate being--superior to Jesus. Jesus taught--the Father is greater than I--believe Jesus--as well the last line of the Lords prayer--- The KINGDOM, POWER, AND GLORY- all belong to the Father.

You truly do not understand God. What do you think that Jesus was God incarnate means?

I understand God very well--I know the facts of history. The Israelites know and knew God very well too--it is undeniable fact--from Moses up until today--they served and serve YHWH(Jehovah) a single being mono God---do you really think Jesus would attend a religion teaching a false God for 30 years and not refuting it---trinity translations are erred--its fact.
I showed already the error in worship, the other major error is John 1:1
It reads like this--- In the beginning the word was, and the word was with ( HO) Theos, And the word was Theos.( greek interlinear)-as well in the Hebrew text.
The only word for--God or god--is Theos in greek--when speaking of the almighty true God ( HO) preceded Theos--it is not in the last line--it was not calling the word--the God--(Ho=The)
a god is the correct translation--there were a few translations in history that were correct--trinity translations are not correct.---Gods power goes through Jesus( acts 2:22)
If trinities were correct in plain English it would read like this---in the beginning the God was, and the God was with the God, and the God was God( with another God-HS over there)--as well at Rev 3:12--- God has a God with another God(hS) over there----there is one God--God does not have a God.
Another error in trinity translations
Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise--- impossible

correct-- truly I tell you today, you will be with me in paradise.

Jesus was in the grave( Hades) for 3 days, making it an impossibility to be in paradise, on that day.

There is 0 mention of Jesus being God incarnate in his written word-- its mens dogma.

Jesus taught--- John 17:1-6,26---The one who sent him( Father) = THE ONLY TRUE GOD--verse 6 = YHWH(Jehovah), 26= YHWH(Jehovah) ---hallowed be thy name= YHWH(Jehovah= Father--makes this the bottom line reality of all truth--John 4:22-24--- the hour is coming and the hour is now, that the true worshippers will worship the-FATHER- in spirit and truth. For its the FATHER who is searching for suchlike ones to worship him in spirit and truth---- all truths taught by Jesus----BELIEVE JESUS.-- all who love him do.

It would be impossible for that to be, everyone who knows God, knows all of his ways are justice( Deuteronomy 32:4--he taught us that justice--an eye for an eye--- a perfect balanced set of justice scales--uncorruptable.
A sinless mortal lost a good standing with God by rebelling and sinning---justice--a sinless mortal( not God it wouldn't be justice) lived a sinless existence and died and paid the wages of sin to buy back what Adam had lost for mankind.-- this is reality.

Sorry, with in the context of this thread and the deity of Jesus Christ, this makes absolutely no sense and actually lessens your stance!

To know God is to know that there is no impossibilities for him! Some, as yourself, try to put limits on him.

try learning every utterance from God--then you will know him--Jesus said man must do this--few bother. Have you? if not--Jesus taught-- proof of ones love for him was by listening to him--listening entails--learning every single teaching and then applying every single teaching in every matter of ones life--have you done this? there is no pick and choose.

Yes YHWH(Jehovah) he is the only God--see even Jesus tells you but you refuse to believe him over what men teach--John 20:17, Rev 3:12= Jesus truth.--Jesus is his son--not God. I showed all the facts of reality-- I have not erred.
I show you scripture --you use words with 0 backing from scripture.
