Jesus Is The Great I Am

  1. None of these verses have anything to do with Jesus is or is not God.
  2. Sounds more like you are trying to convince me that Jehovah Witness is the true religion rather than true Christianity.
  3. You do not have a teachable spirit and I am now reluctantly and officially through with you and your teaching!

Nothing to do with Jesus--he taught every one of them, I surely hope you learned all his teachings, God said from heaven at his Baptism---this is my son the beloved, in whom I am well pleased--LISTEN TO HIM.--- he didn't say if you want to) you surely know his teachings and are being taught them--after all Jesus himself said-- proof of ones love for him is by one listening to him--that entails--learning and applying every teaching in ones daily life--there is no pick and choose.

Jonathan Cahn pointed out, in one of his videos, that before you can tell anyone your name, you
say God's name, even in all languages.

Example: I Am Trax

Think about how many times you say and use the phrase "I Am".

I have even heard here at TJ, that Jesus is not God. I , for one, this is evidence that Jesus is exactly who he said he was.
  • God is the "I Am"! Exodus 3: 14 God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'I AM has sent me to you.'"
  • Jesus is the "I Am":
John 6: 35 I am the bread of life
John 8: 12 I am the light of the world
John 8: 58 Before Abraham was, I am
John 10:9 I am the door
John 10:11 I am the good shepherd
John 11:25 I am the resurrection and the life
John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life
John 15:1 I am the true vine

Good post! If I may I would like to add....Because we are co-heirs with Jesus. Everything HE has we have......Ready?
Because HE AM, I am..

I believe that the words "I Am" are two of the most powerful words a believer can say because they will lock them in with the Father. God is therefore I am. Claiming these promises these words of the bible will have the effect of clarifying (perfecting) our awareness of our identity with Divinity which conceives and controls all the details of our lives by faith.

Then to answer a post below....Jesus did say "I and the Father are one" In John 1:1 it says In the beginning was the Word (Jesus) and the Word (Jesus) was with God and the Word (Jesus) was God.
That means unequivocally that Jesus is God.

Sounds pretty much like blasphemy to me...

Why Blasphemy? Do you really think the Word is blasphemy?

Jesus is the Word. He is not blasphemy.

Using the phrase I am to refer to yourself is blasphemy. Only God can say I am. If Jesus hadn't been God when he said that, the Pharisees would have been in the right to stone him to death. They understood he was making himself equal with God. He is equal.

What word of faith teachers like Benny Hinn teach about this is heresy.

Blessings,

Travis

Well Excuse me old son! I gave a scripture verse for each I am that I am. If that's blasphemy then its Gods Word that you are accusing. Read them from YOUR bible

The way a covenant works in the bible...If I am adopted into a family, its a covenant, unbreakable. That gives the covenant son a more secure position than a blood born son. A covenant is by blood. The one who breaks covenant has to die. That's what the blood is for. It says just that. Its a life or death covenant. Study covenants, the what and how and why of them. Jesus has a blood covenant with the Father and I/ you are beneficiaries of said covenant. Jesus shed His blood, became sin so I could be made just like Him. Just as it was not wrong of Jesus to 'make Himself equal to the Father it is not wrong to 'make myself equal to Jesus. He is my adopted brother, and I am co heir with Him.. I asked Him to be my savior and Lord and that's what He did/is. My savior and Lord. And He made me just like Him. Now I walk out that salvation with serious caution, tenderness of conscience, watchfulness against temptation, timidly shrinking from whatever might offend God and discredit the name of Christ).

Just as it was not wrong of Jesus to 'make Himself equal to the Father it is not wrong to 'make myself equal to Jesus.

I don't believe I would have said that.

What these Word Faith preachers teach is great error. Can't run away from them fast enough.

So ... do you think its wrong to say what God says? This is not talking about preachers...we're talking about what God says we are. As in "I am the righteousness of God in the anointed One and His anointing" 2 Corinthians 5:21

But, do not these words of Jesus support what Bendito is saying?

"That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me." John 17:21

Jesus can say, "before Abraham was, I Am." Abraham can't say that. Neither can I.

I like the scriptures. I don't like seeing them twisted though. Not everyone is called to teach God's word. We all will stand before the Lord and give account for ourselves. If you can in good conscience teach these kind of doctrines, I sure can't stop you.

Can't say I would ever consider fellowshipping with you though.

Blessings,

Travis

Wow! Travis, you're right. Before Abraham was we were not. But there are plenty of scriptures to say what we are. You need to learn who you are too. Its all in Gods WORD Nobody is twisting scriptures It says "You are....We are" It says "in order that you might be made.."

Jesus is God. We don't become God.
God is I am, and Jesus is I am. But we don't become I am.
God is the Alpha and the Omega, Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega. We don't become the Alpha and Omega.
Yes, Jesus was a man, and Jesus is God. But it isn't 50%/50%. It's more like 100%/100%
We are 100% human, but we never become God.
Jesus created all things... in Him we live and breathe and move and have our being.
We did not create Him, he does not have life from us and never will.

The temptation that Satan Eve with.. was she could be like God.
The great sin of Satan was to try to make himself like God ( Isa 14:14; )

We should be one in spirit with the Lord, and of one mind. But we do not
become "one" God with Him, nor do we become gods at all.

The part of Jesus that was 100% man is not the God part.
The part of Jesus that is 100% God is not the human part.

I agree..We don't become God but we become like Him...We do what he does, we say what He says...We are imitators of Him.

Again, I agree. We do not become an I am. We are made 'I am' by the blood covenant between Jesus and the Father.

I wonder if you actually read any of the verses above? We've been made all of these things IN THE ANOINTED ONE AND HIS ANOINTING.

Jesus is God the word made flesh.
jesus is the creator of all things.
All things were created by him and for him.
These things are revelational in the bible
But we are saved by believing jesus is the son of God.
But he is also truly God the word made flesh.

Jesus is the great high priest.
We are not l
The pope thinks he is though
And that makes him a blasphemer; the man of sin.
We are not the I Am.
Now we know the pope is a blasphemer
We know that his authority and teachings are false
And so is the roman entity he presides over that is blasphemously called universal.
So now we know why God says " Come out of her my people"
