Hi Astar:
I am just reading the bible for my first time.
I read He took away the sin of the world for the bible. does it mean He forgave the world?

John 1:29 - The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

so no sin in the world now?
and furthermore, general speaking, as human beings ,are we forgiven or forgivable?
after birth, we still can't be forgiven automatically? really?
Matthew 27
3 Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, 4 Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that. 5 And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

If he repented his sin, was he forgiven? so Why he hanged himself? Would he go to heaven or hell?

Yes john did say Jesus took away the sins of the world. But did he say all sins every sin? It is wonderful you are reading the bible brother. When we read the bible we get the whole message there is danger in reading scripture in isolated verses. Please read the following verses and see the common link to all. i have bolded

John 3:15
"that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

John 3:18
"He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

John 5:24
" Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.

John 6:40
"And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day."

Acts 10:43
"To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins."

So yes what John said was right Jesus does take away the sins of the World but the sins are those sin of the people who Believe in Him

Read these 2 verses and see the difference.

John 3:18
"He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

John 3:36
"He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."

Paul said it well in Romans:

8 But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame." 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For "whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved."

Judas was remorseful for betraying Jesus but you ask why did he murder himself? Did he believe that he was forgiven? If we believe in Jesus as Messiah then we must believe that we are forgiven. For some people this is the biggest problem in accepting Jesus because they believe they have done something that is unforgivable.

Having said this i do not know if judas was saved or not? God knows if Judas is saved. I hope he is saved but i fear he is not.

You said in your post:
general speaking, as human beings ,are we forgiven or forgivable?
after birth, we still can't be forgiven automatically? really?
Are you asking if little babies who die are saved? if you are then yes i believe that babies are innocent and therefore are saved no matter if they believe in Jesus or not. babies do not have knowledge of good and evil yet so they are acceptable to God.

All Praise The Ancient Of Days

so
1. Jesus took away the sin of who believed or who will believe Him?
2.Unless we follow Him, we are not forgiven, just forgivable?

(sorry, today I am so busy.no time to research your post. Stunk on academic study)
I will think of your post later
thanks

Yes JesusistheGod I think you have got it.

Everyone is forgivable. Those who believe in Jesus and follow Him are forgiven. those who reject him are not.

I hope you do well in your academic study

Who am I? …Really

I, in fact, am Judas with the rope.
I am the Pharisees with the silver.
I am Peter with the sword,
I am Paul on the way to Damascus,
I am BOTH thieves on the cross.
And, I thank God that I am the woman caught in adultery and Barabus as well!

It is in FACT true, I am the direct reason he was crucified...
I wept and ran in fear after the **** crew thrice.
I called out “crucify him” with all my might!
I personally nailed him to the cross too.
It is 100% my fault... It was MY SIN that did it ALL!

No sarcasm here...I really mean it... It was me..

For it was my legitimate guilt that drew Him to me…
And
it is his innocent blood that draws them out of me…

So, who are YOU?….Really…

This is but a small crumb off the mountain sized loaf that is the kingdom of God.

Evil exists in the world but only for a short time longer. WW2 was one of our worse times for evil but the outcome proves who is in control. God said "I will bless those that bless you and curse those that curse you"..the truth of this has always been true and continues to be so. It is difficult to see the end from the beginning but God does if God had not allowed Jews to be broken from the tree we would not have had a place to be "grafted" in but their "branch" is kept for the final day when they will be returned to the tree and God's work completed.
