43) Genesis 41

- Then Pharaoh dreamed about the seven fat cows and the seven ugly, thin ones!

- And the second ones ate the first ones!

- A second similar dream but this time with seven ears of grain!

- But no one was able to interpret the dreams except Joseph!

- And Joseph told Pharaoh the interpretation of his dreams!

- Seven years of abundance followed by seven years of famine!

- “So now let Pharaoh look for a man who is discreet and wise and place him over the land of Egypt. Let Pharaoh take action and appoint overseers in the land, and he should collect one fifth of the produce of Egypt during the seven years of abundance. And let them collect all the food during these coming good years, and let them stockpile grain under Pharaoh’s authority as food to be stored in the cities and safeguarded there. The food should serve as a supply for the land for the seven years of famine that will occur in the land of Egypt, so that the land may not perish in the famine.”

- And Pharaoh put Joseph in charge!

- Pharaoh further said to Joseph: “I am Pharaoh, but without your authorization, no man may do a single thing in all the land of Egypt.”After that Pharaoh gave Joseph the name Zaphenath-paneah and gave him Asenath the daughter of Potiphera the priest of On as a wife. And Joseph began to oversee the land of Egypt. Joseph was 30 years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt.

- Thanks to God, Joseph became the second most influential man in Egypt!

- And Joseph got two sons Manasseh and Ephraim!

44) Genesis 42

- Ten of Joseph’s brothers go to Egypt to buy grain!

- Because there is famine in Canaan!

- Joseph is the man in authority in Egypt!

- He recognizes his brothers but he conceals his identity from them!

- He accuses them of being spies!

- And he wants them to bring their youngest brother before all can go back to Canaan!

- Finally he keeps Simeon and the others can go but they must come back with their youngest brother!

- And he tells his men to give them grain and their money back without them knowing!

- When they realize they still have their money they are afraid!

- But Jacob doesn’t want to let Benjamin go to Egypt because he doesn’t want to lose him!

45) Genesis 43

- Finally Jacob must let Benjamin go!

- When they see Joseph they are told to go to his house!

- They are going to eat with him!

- When Joseph sees Benjamin he has to go out because he is overcome with emotion for his brother!

- Then he weeps alone and washes his face!

- Then he comes back and eats with his brothers!

- And Benjamin receives more food!

- They don’t understand why they are eating with Joseph as they don’t know he is their brother!

46) Genesis 44

- As usual Joseph tells his men to put all the food they can in his brothers’ bags and their money too!

- And he tells to put his silver cup in the bag of the youngest!

- In the morning Joseph’s brothers leave!

- Then Joseph sends his men after his brother and they find Joseph’s cup in Benjamin’s bag!

- So Joseph wants Benjamin to stay with him and the others can leave!

- Judah wants to stay instead of Benjamin as he told his father otherwise his father will die!

47) Genesis 45

- Finally Joseph can’t control himself anymore!

- He stays alone with his brothers!

- Then he begins to weep loudly!

- And he tells his brothers that he is Joseph!

- And he tells them everything!

- And he tells his brothers to go back to their father and tell him about him!

- They must go down to Egypt!

- Finally Jacob wants to go to Egypt and see Joseph before dying!

48) Genesis 46

- Jacob goes to Egypt with all his family and animals!

- God tells him not to be afraid to go there!

- He will become a great nation!

- They go to the land of Goshen!

- He meets Joseph!

Genesis 47

- Joseph supplies his family with all the food necessary!

- First the Egyptians give money for food then their livestock then their land!

- But the priests didn’t buy food!

- Then the Egyptians give a fifth of their harvest to pharaoh!

- in the meantime, Israel increases greatly!

- Before he dies, Jacob asks Joseph to bury him in the grave of his forefathers!

49) Genesis 48

- Jacob says that Joseph’s sons Ephraim and Manasseh will become his sons!

- And he blesses them but he says the younger Ephraim will become greater than the firstborn Manasseh!

- Then he blesses Joseph!

Genesis 49

- Jacob speaks about each one of his sons:

- Reuben his firstborn will not excel because he has gone up to his father’s bed!

- Simeons and Levi are instruments of violence and because of their anger they kill men and Jacob curses their anger!

- Judah will be praised by his brothers and he will be on the neck of his enemies!

- He is a lion cub and the scepter will not depart from Judah until Shiloh comes and to him the obedience of the peoples will belong!

- Tying his donkey to a vine and his donkey’s colt to a choice vine, he will wash his clothing in wine and his garment in the blood of grapes. Dark red are his eyes from wine, and his teeth are white from milk.

- Zebulon will reside by the seashore!

- Issachar will bend his shoulder to bear the burden and will submit to forced labor!

- Dan will judge his people and he will be a serpent!

- Gad will raid at the marauder band’s heels!

- Asher’s bread will be abundant and he will provide food fir for a king!

- Naphtali is a slender doe speaking words of elegance!

- Joseph is the offshoot of a fruitful tree!- Benjamin will keep on tearing like a wolf!

- Then Jacob dies!

50) Genesis 50

- Jacob is embalmed

- After 70 days of mourning, Joseph with all his brothers go to Canaan to bury their father!

- After that, they go back to Egypt!

- Joseph dies at the age of 110 then he is embalmed and put in a coffin in Egypt!

51) ADAM

- Then God said: “Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness, and let them have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and the domestic animals and all the earth and every creeping animal that is moving on the earth.” And God went on to create the man in his image, in God’s image he created him; male and female he created them. Further, God blessed them, and God said to them: “Be fruitful and become many, fill the earth and subdue it, and have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and every living creature that is moving on the earth.” Then God said: “Here I have given to you every seed-bearing plant that is on the entire earth and every tree with seed-bearing fruit. Let them serve as food for you.

- And God went on to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living person Further, God planted a garden in Eden, toward the east; and there he put the man whom he had formed. Thus God made to grow out of the ground every tree that was pleasing to look at and good for food and also the tree of life in the middle of the garden and the tree of the knowledge of good and bad.

- God took the man and settled him in the garden of Eden to cultivate it and to take care of it. God also gave this command to the man: “From every tree of the garden you may eat to satisfaction. But as for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad, you must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will certainly die.”

- Then God said: “It is not good for man to continue to be alone. I am going to make a helper for him, as a complement to him.”

- Now God had been forming from the ground every wild animal of the field and every flying creature of the heavens, and he began bringing them to the man to see what he would call each one; and whatever the man would call each living creature, that became its name. So the man named all the domestic animals and the flying creatures of the heavens and every wild animal of the field, but for man there was no helper as a complement to him.

- So God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep, and while he was sleeping, he took one of his ribs and then closed up the flesh over its place. And God built the rib that he had taken from the man into a woman, and he brought her to the man.

- That is why a man will leave his father and his mother and he will stick to his wife, and they will become one flesh. And both of them continued to be naked, the man and his wife; yet they were not ashamed.

- And Eve ate the fruit and gave it to Adam!

- Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized that they were naked. So they sewed fig leaves together and made loin coverings for themselves.

- The man said: “The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit from the tree, so I ate.”

- To the woman he said: “I will greatly increase the pain of your pregnancy; in pain you will give birth to children, and your longing will be for your husband, and he will dominate you.” And to Adam he said: “Because you listened to your wife’s voice and ate from the tree concerning which I gave you this command, ‘You must not eat from it,’ cursed is the ground on your account. In pain you will eat its produce all the days of your life. It will grow thorns and thistles for you, and you must eat the vegetation of the field. In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return.”

- God gave everything to Adam!

- He was perfect!

- He preferred to follow his wife!

- They lost everything and got into trouble!

- They died and humanity received imperfection and death and more trouble!

- Look at the result today!

52) CAIN and ABEL

- The first two sons of Adam and eve are Cain and Abel!

- Abel became a shepherd of the flock, but Cain became a cultivator of the ground.

- After some time, Cain brought some fruits of the land as an offering to God. But Abel brought some firstlings of his flock, including their fat.

- While God looked with favor on Abel and on his offering, he did not look with any favor on Cain and on his offering.

- So Cain grew hot with anger and was dejected.

- Then God said to Cain: “Why are you so angry and dejected? If you turn to doing good, will you not be restored to favor? But if you do not turn to doing good, sin is crouching at the door, and its craving is to dominate you; but will you get the mastery over it?”

- After that Cain said to his brother Abel: “Let us go over into the field.” So while they were in the field, Cain assaulted his brother Abel and killed him.

- Cain went the wrong way!

- God told him to change his way!

- But he kept going the wrong way!

- As a consequence, he killed his brother!

- That’s man’s reality!

- We see the same history everywhere in the Bible, especially with the Israelites!

- And God warned them again and again so many times that it is ridiculous for them!

- And humanity keeps doing the same!

- And look at where we are and where we are going!

53) NOAH

- After Noah reached 500 years of age, he became father to Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

- Noah was a righteous man. He proved himself faultless among his contemporaries. Noah walked with the true God.

- But the earth had become ruined in the sight of the true God, and the earth was filled with violence. Yes, God looked upon the earth, and it was ruined all flesh had ruined its way on the earth.

- After that God said to Noah: “I have decided to put an end to all flesh, because the earth is full of violence on account of them, so I am bringing them to ruin together with the earth.

- Think of that: Only Noah found favor in the eyes of God!

- Think about what will happen when Jesus comes back to clean the earth!

- That’s why it is important to read all the Bible not to forget!

- And if we forget or we don’t care, that's our responsibility!

- Make for yourself an ark from resinous wood. You will make compartments in the ark and cover it with tar inside and outside. This is how you will make it: The ark should be 300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide, and 30 cubits high. You will make a window for light for the ark, one cubit from the top. You should put the entrance of the ark in its side and make it with a lower deck, a second deck, and a third deck.

- He did exactly what God told him!

- “As for me, I am going to bring floodwaters upon the earth to destroy from under the heavens all flesh that has the breath of life. Everything on the earth will perish.

- And I am establishing my covenant with you, and you must go into the ark, you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you. And bring into the ark two of every sort of living creature in order to preserve them alive with you, a male and a female; of the flying creatures according to their kinds, the domestic animals according to their kinds, and all creeping animals of the ground according to their kinds, two of each will go in there to you to preserve them alive. For your part, you are to collect and take with you every kind of food to eat, to serve as food for you and for the animals.” And Noah did according to all that God had commanded him. He did just so.

- Noah was 600 years old when the floodwaters came upon the earth. So Noah, along with his sons, his wife, and his sons’ wives, went into the ark ahead of the floodwaters.

- Once again, only Noah and his family found favor in God’s eyes!

- What a shame for all humanity!

- A lot to think about!

54) Abraham

- Chapter 11-12

- Abram’s wife Sarai was barren; she had no child!

- Terah took Abram his son and Lot his grandson, the son of Haran, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, the wife of Abram his son, and they went with him out of Ur of the Chaldeans to go to the land of Canaan. In time they came to Haran and began dwelling there. The days of Terah were 205 years. Then Terah died in Haran.

- God told Abram to go to Canaan!

- So Abram was 75 when he left haran and he left with his whole family!

- They went to Sheshem and God told him that he would give his offspring the land of Canaan!

- Because of the famine, Abram went to Egypt!

- Abram told his wife to say to the Egyptians that she was his sister so he would stay alive!

- Sarai was brought to Pharaoh’s house!

- But God struck Pharaoh because of Sarai!

- So Pharaoh gave back Sarai to Abram and he left!

55) ABRAHAM

Chapter 13

- Abraham went out of Egypt to the Negeb and Bethel!

- Lot was with him!

- Both had too much livestock for the land!

- So Abraham told Lot to go to a place and Abraham went to another place!

- And Lot went to live in Sodom!

- Now the men of Sodom were wicked, gross sinners against God!

- God told Abraham that he was going to give him the land he was living in!

56) ABRAHAM

Chapter 14

- There was a war and Lot and his household became prisoners!

- When Abraham was told, he organized his men and he freed Lot and his household!

Chapter 15

- Abraham had a vision!

- God told him that his offspring would become slaves in a foreign land and would be afflicted for 400 years!

- But after that his offspring would come back to the land of Canaan!

57) ABRAHAM

Chapter 16

- Sarai had no children so she gave her Egyptian servant Hagar to her husband!

- And she became pregnant!

- But she began to despise her mistress!

- So Sarai humiliated her and she ran away from her!

- Then God’s angel appeared to her!

- He told her to return to her mistress and humble herself!

- And she had to call her child Ishmael!

- And he would become a great nation!

- Abraham was 86 years old when Hagar bore Ishmael to him!

58) ABRAHAM

Chapter 17

- When Abraham was 99, God appeared to him and told him he would become a great nation!

- And God changed his name from Abram to Abraham!

- And he told him again that they would get the land of Canaan!

- And he established a covenant with him: every male had to get circumcised!

- The one not being circumcised had to die!

- And he changed the name of Abraham’s wife from Sarai to Sarah!

- And she was to have a child!

- But Abraham began to laugh and to say in his heart: “Will a man 100 years old have a child born to him, and will Sarah, a woman 90 years old, give birth?”

- Thus Abraham and all the men belonging to him were circumcised!

59) ABRAHAM

Chapter 18

- Abraham saw 3 men and he met them and invited them to eat something!

- So he told his wife to prepare bread!

- And he asked one of his attendant for preparing a young bull!

- Finally, one of them told him that next year Sarah was to have a son!

- And Sarah began to laugh to herself because she was too old!

- God said to Abraham he was going to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah!

- Then Abraham had a discussion with God!

- And God told him he was not going to destroy the two cities if he was to find 50 or 45 or 40 or 30 or 20 or 10 righteous men he would not destroy the two cities!

- Think about the men who could have such a discussion with God!

- Not many indeed!

- God really considered Abraham as a faithful servant!

60) Definition of irrelevant: not connected with or relevant to!

- A chapter of the Bible is one thing!

- Taking the most important thing in a chapter about a character is connected to this character!

- Looking for the information is the basis of the study!

- If you only take the whole chapter, the information you are looking for is diluted!

- To understand a biblical character, reading is not sufficient, you need to engrave it!

- Reading for reading leads nowhere!

- Reading to understand and analyze is meaningful!

- It's the same about Acts and the personality checkup!

- To get personality traits you need to get the exact extract and only think about it!

61) ABRAHAM

Chapter 20

- Once again Abraham doesn’t say that Sarah is his wife but just his sister!

- He tries to survive!

- We remember what David did!

- And many others were or are ready to kill for a woman!

- So king Abimelech sends for Sarah and takes her!

- But God warns him!

- And he tells Abimelech to send Sarah back if he doesn’t want to die!

- Thus Abraham does his part to survive and so does God!

- So as Abraham, we have to do our part if we want God to do his part!

- There is no other way!

62) ABRAHAM

Chapter 21

- Sarah became pregnant at the appointed time God had promised him!

- Apparently Abraham and Sarah waited 25 years for the fulfillment of God’s promise!

- But above all they were old!

- So 25 years means a lot more than only 25 years!

- But it is difficult for men to wait!

- Think about the time the Israelites had to wait to get the promised land!

- Think about the time men have to wait for God’s world to come!

- Abraham showed respect for God’s gift!

- But the Israelites didn’t!

- What about us?

- Are we ready to wait for it?
