Lost Hope

I met up with a friend last night at Starbuck's that I use to work with. He is a faithful Spirit-led man who is older than I and a few steps down the road in life experience than I. I proposed to him the idea of him becoming my mentor. We had a great conversation after telling him where I'm at in life. He told me that we both need to pray about it this week and will meet back up this Friday to see where we are going from here.

He said if this is what God would have us to do together that he would like to do a study on prayer with me. Needless to say that excited me after having this new run-in with God via prayer lately!

He continued to tell me how work has calmed down lately, the person he was mentoring every week for 5 years just moved to Costa Rica and how God placed me in his heart over the past couple weeks even though we hadn't talked once in over 8 months.

Just wanted to share with you all the unraveling of whatever God is doing.

I've really super happy for you, you made me tear brother!
I'm really glad that it's working out, God is full of surprises, isn't He? Life with Him is more than a fairytale, seriously, fairytales aren't that great anymore, our relationship with Him is so very unbelievable, magical.

I encourage you to keep meeting with your friend, people need people, Christians need other Christians, I came to TJ over a year ago, I was broken and lost, everytime I was down, every memeber here made me smile, I was happier with time, and I never stopped logging,

I pray you find rest, you need it, even if you think you don't deserve it, who deserves anything anyway?

there is a man who is mighty and never sinned against the holy trinity, was an evangelist, a man of prayer , knows scripture by the back of his hand and never got crucified, was snatched away by God to heaven, charged into heaven pushing all the angels singing for joy away from him and stood before God and said where is my throne. He got the last seat in heaven. Now he ask of God why i am the least. He ask of God why i am the least. God said u have no desire for me. he said why. God said u never cried. He said why should i cry. God said the one sits on the highest throne in heaven cried the most. I allowed test in this world and brought suffering to all those who cried when the angels sang for joy and entered into heaven and received the salvation that already has been paid. The sinners have always loved me the most because they could not live without me. U my friend received the most love from me so rejoice your place in heaven. I am not satisfied he said to God. A sinner is the one that will never deny me. u HAVE CHALLENGED LOVE .

MANY WILL COME FROM THE WEST AND THE EAST AND SIT AT THE FEAST OF THE LAMB OF GOD. Amen

Turbopun my friend Jesus is never more than a whisper away. It is His heart to search for the one sheep that has strayed. The Father's heart of love was willing to pay the highest price for you and He will always be found waiting for a prodigal son's return.
My point- if we choose to trust God completely even our stumbling will be turned for the good. God loves you dearly my brother.
Love created man for fellowship and communion; His heart will not be satisfied until His children have come home.
Do not give up nor be discouraged, press in towards Christ.

Im very thankful to your lines,
cause either we have been there and remember
or we are all in the same boat and understand you completely
or we might be gettin into that situation one day and feel this being helpful, that you wrote out all your emotions
and explained what a type of person you are and how you handle life so far . . .

So its really cool that you shared it with all of us Turbopun

I read a vers about 5 days ago that made me think about my faith and my believing heart
and about my footsteps with Jesus on the way in life . . .

Its in Mark 10:32 . . .

32 And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem;
and Jesus went before them:
and they were amazed;
and as they followed, they were afraid . . .

The experience of that fear Turbopun . . .Jesus went before them and they were amazed and as they followed, they were afraid . . .

Jesus lives through every sin and pain we are experiencing. . .
He understands and thats something we cannot stand. . .
cannot understand. . .
cant handle alot of times . .

I hope im bringin this across in the same way I understood it:

He looks at us knowing all of our problems and we have no idea how we could ever just follow Him . ..
He is so far away from us in our eyes . ..
feeling friends with Jesus is sometimes not even possible to imagine for us . . .

This experience. . .
to fear or be afraid . . .
is important if we wanna follow!

Whenever you get hit with that fear. . . HOLD! HOOOLD!

Hold your breath in faith till its over with . . .

cause thats when you will learn to be able to follow Him for real. . .

which will cause eternal joy :embarasse

I am doing very well. God has been doing a great work in my life and am thankful for His grace.

I am now a youth intern at my church and teach in front of 75-110 kids on Sunday mornings in addition to teaching on Weds. nights in a small group setting. The Lord has also placed a woman that I am in the process of proposing to.

My life and my testimony cry out to the existence of One God, the authority of the scriptures and that Jesus is who He says He is. Walking in the Spirit is my life long goal.

Turbo, you haven't posted in this forum for four months, but, I hope you are monitoring it. I just finished re-reading your posts here and I was struck by something I'd missed earlier. The words repent and repentance do not appear in any of them.

You speak of sorrow, but sorrow and repentance are not synonymous. Sorrow is only an expression of regret. Repentance involves taking action to move in a different direction. Sorrow means nothing without repentance.

I hope you are still meeting the man you mention in the above quote.

The key is to stop looking at you. See Christ, see serving Christ, Stop looking at you and focus entirely on him. Then you won't matter anymore only Christ will.
And that is much easier said than done but it is the only way to get self out of the way & Christ in the center.
