My mother was Schizophrenic and had a very ruff life. At the end her life; I still remember her last days. She would hold up her little finger and say. "Be kind and love Jesus. I put it on her tomb stone.

@dh charles - I am sorry to hear that. I empathize with you. There are many troubled people in this world who need to turn their hearts to Jesus. Your mother, before she died, was wise to pass along the message that we must love Jesus. I was just reading in John 14 this evening/early morning that to love Jesus means to obey his teachings, not with absolute perfection, but consistently in the way we live our lives day in and day out.

I'm a nurse in a corrections setting so I did all with a lot of mental health and addicts. I found his statement interesting as well and would have loved to hear an elaboration. Its difficult to diagnose most of these conditions and often complicated by those that fake symptoms to manipulate the system or are in denial and don't want treatment. When you consider HIPPA laws thatould be sticky for government involvement.
