For those who believe the 'rapture' could happen any moment do you also believe the founding of modern Israel was a fulfillment of prophecy ?

What supports your belief that this could happen at any time ? At what point in history then did the rapture become imminent ?
The bible says that the generation that sees the olive tree put out her leaves will see the rapture.....We could say then, that, at that time the rapture became imminent.

Interesting, Every teacher from Darby ,Ironside, Larkin, Gabelien, and Scofield was wrong saying the rapture was imminent in their day.
Then you do not see any prophectic significance in any event since 1948 ,correct ? Assuming that is what you meant by 'the olive tree put out her leaves will see the rapture'.
Since it is obvious those mentioned above were greatly mistaken in their reasoning in support of imminence, why do you suppose you have it right ?

Hmmmm I've never seen that passage would you post a quote ? In fact I dont believe you have any quote from any Scripture saying this (type of tree doesnt matter) and this is %100 conjecture on your part.

Matthew 24:32 Now from the fig tree learn the parable: when her branch is now become tender, and putteth forth the leaves, ye know that the summer is nigh;
33 thus ye also, when ye see all these things, know that he is nigh, at the doors.

this is when the gathering (rapture) takes place it tells us plain as day and easy to understand,

Matthew 24:29-31
“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

1 Thessalonians 4

16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.

----------This is at the second coming rapture the same time, sound of the trumpet is exactly what it says in mathew 24 31And He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.. ----- this is when people receive their resurrected bodies at his return, not beforehand. it says those left, referring to those left at the end of the tribulation, what else would they be left from??? they will be gathered and first those dead will get their resurrected bodies, then those LEFT will be (raptured) gathered up and receive their resurrected bodies, they will be changed in a twinkle of eye, one will be taken (raptured) the other left.

What is your Scripture support for what you see as the connection of the passage to the state of Israel ?

I was just posting about the rapture, and that it happens at the end of tribulation, not that it could happen at any time

As far as the connection to Israel I am not sure, I know that they were scattered at one time and God said he would bring them back. And in the forties Israel was declared a nation by the UN and I do not think that has ever happened before, so I would say that is prophecy fufilled, but I am sure you know all that.

I think I am missing something here :)

Thanks for the reply Dave. I was asking for any Scripture that connects your thoughts of Israel to the passage you quoted.

HI Reba
I gotcha now , not really other then the elect IMO are all saints both people from Israel and gentiles, I think some believe that the elect are only Israel.

Thanks Dave your straight forwardness is refreshing ..

So where does this say rapture or anything like that ?

Does this rapture require the resurrection of the dead ?

Are you saying the resurrection and the Second Advent take place at the same time (or nearly) ?

Good! And what specifically are you referring to that He said?
