Yes you can lose salvation if you couldn't the Bible wouldn't state in Revelation chapter 22:18-19 that if you add unto these things God shall add unto you the plagues that are written in this book(Bible) and if any man take away from the words of the book of this prophecy God shall take away his part out of the book of life and out of the Holy city and from the things which are written in this book See in the scripture it shows that someone's name can be taken out of the book of life so that means it once had to be there in order for it to be taken out.

Mrs. Davis, May I ask where it says that this is the book of eternal life? That anyone is taken out of it?

Those who have been born again have passed from death into life, and that eternal 1Jn.5:11
I believe this book is simply the book of life, all born are written down, those who refuse to believe are then taken out.

When the Bible tells us that no man can take us out of his hand, that means me also.John 10:28
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

Yes I came across that one also 2 days ago for the first time Mrs. Davis. I only knew of Revelation 3:5.

I would have to think that this still applies:

1Jn 2:19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

Some taste and experience the Kingdom only to love the world more. They never really belonged to God but were just tourists. One walking with Christ and led of the Spirit will have no desire to add to scripture.

Jesus told Nicodemus (John 3:5-8 ) that which is born of the flesh is flesh that which is born of the spirit is spirit. you are not truly born until you have asked Jesus Christ into your life.I believe that's when your name is written in the Book of Life.In order to have eternal life you have to endure to the end(Matthew24:13). Revelation 3:5 says, He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. It is those who overcome sin who will be saved.Sin, you will have to continue to overcome until the day you die or until the Lord comes.Because the Bible clearly states no sin will enter into that Kingdom.
