mounty, I need support. I need someone to listen to me. I know that you would be an ideal friend, since you specialize in physical fitness, and you are majoring in that in college.

I have never had such a hard time losing weight before. Part of it is just my "advanced" age, and the fact that I had a baby at age 45. I was in very good shape before I had my baby (this is my third, and last )

Since I was a little underweight when I became pregnant, the doctors told me to get plenty of healthy food to eat and not to worry about my weight. They wanted me to gain weight! Well.....I did so. And now is is so hard to take the weight off. I love working out. I have never minded doing aerobics, floor exercises, running, and walking.

Love,
Dreamer

There is always a reason why losing weight is difficult.
1/ you had a baby late in life
2/ Your age is a big factor
The younger we are when having children the faster our bodies tend to spring back in to shape. The older we are the harder it is for our bodies to go back to normal.
There are some questions
How overweight are you ?
What are your eating habits ?
Are you an emotional eater?
How old is your child ?
Our bodies are amazing and with the right push you can i have no doubt return to your pre baby weight.

I just want to let anyone reading this know---mounty has already started me on a very sensible eating program, and I am very encouraged that I will start losing weight in a healthy way now.

mounty sees things that I was missing. (like how much I snack!)
I am already doing a food diary daily.

I recommend, if you have been praying about losing weight, and you're discouraged, talk to mounty. She's an encouraging, knowledgeable lady, and a good friend.

Hi mounty and Dreamer ;) Good luck with the weight loss and eating plans Dreamer.

Mounty I have a few questions,

I'm 22 this year, I'm not following an exercise plan and I don't support myself yet. I feel that when I try to exercise, let's say jogging or doing something like riding an exercise bicycle that I feel an awefull rush of total exaustion come over me, it literally blinds me for 10-15 seconds. It's awefull. I do not have fun when I exercise, I'm not fit, but I'm not that fat either, but I'm not happy with my stomach area. I've got about two rolls as I'm sitting typing this message, hehe. I don't look fat, but my face has become a bit rounder recently, I use a strong prescription of medicine which is almost the same as anti-depressants, but I use them for another problem, which I'll tell you privately.

What can I do to lose the extra weight? I am not paying for my own food yet, I am still dependant on other people, so my diet is also a great issue, I can't demand what to eat. I know this sounds hopeless, it sounds that way to me too.

Can you offer me any advice? I have resorted to wearing button shirts where the buttons are used to close the shirt all the way down, this way you can hardly see my stomach when I stand up straight. I'd like to be able to wear t-shirts again.

I'm sorry to give you nothing to work with, but the slightest bit of information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

God bless

How much weight would you like to lose ?
What is your current weight ?
Explain to me in detail how exercise makes you feel inc how long you have exercised for ,what exercise you were doing etc
Check the meds you are taking for side effects they should be listed?
What type of foods do you eat ,what type of food does the person who makes your meals prepare ?
If you can answer these questions than we can work something out

Thank you mounty for offerring your knowledge to bless others.

H--mmmm. Could it have been the snacking, lol

I know it's only Thursday, but I started a new eating plan on Monday---and the scales already say that I've lost 2 pounds. Maybe it's just water weight. Anyway, I am pleased about that. Cutting way back on my snacks, and it's working. Just eating healthy food. Of course, I was eating healthy food before, too-----entirely too much of it!

Wow! Don't know how I missed this thread. I have been following a diet of my own since about the end of July. I am not one to use or even own a scale, so I can not tell you how many pounds I have lost...But I do know even though I weigh the most I ever have I feel so healthy now that I have been walking about a mile a day at the park here in my town. I go on my lunch break and then have a salad for lunch. I was wearing size 24 skirts and just got into an 18 yesterday! I was so proud. No more 2 or 3x pants I bought a 1x now to work out in and they are a good fit. I am curious to see how many pounds I have lost I was at 245 and I am 5'7. Maybe we can start a weight loss thread somewhere to keep each other accountable to what we are doing? Just a thought.

Becca, I am proud of you. You have really made some positive changes.

I love walking, too. It just makes me feel better. I'm addicted to the high from walking/jogging on my treadmill or outside. With praise music, of course!

Teraside, I have the opposite problem!!! I love to exercise ( I know I'm weird ), but I love to eat alot too. Sounds like you have the eating thing under control more than I do. I take anti-depressants, and the type I take is supposed to put weight on people....but I cannot go off of my medicine. So...
I understand.

I would love to hear how your diet is going is it just healthy eating or a programme?

Well I do portion what I eat and I have also been walking everyday in a nearby park for about 2 months. I walk from a half mile to mile every day. I am also considering joining a gym for the winter months when I may get discouraged to walk outside. I had an excellent workout in the gym yesterday and even played raquectball for a little while. I will be praying for others here trying to loose weight. It is a hard thing to do and it is going very slowly for me....the scale is telling me I weigh the same(got on one at the gym yesterday) but my clothes are getting to big on me which I love! I get to go shopping lol. God Bless you all!

You are presenting, a lovely outreach here......to the sisters who visit.

Thankyou for this..........and for the giving of your time to respond to those who visit 'talkjesus'

Bless You Mounty..........in Jesus

The scale isnt the best judge try using a measuring tape. Had a woman who didnt lose a pound on the scale but lost 12inchs from her body. Muscle is heaver than fat you sound like your toning more than losing. Keep me up to date please sounds like your doing great.

Prayer is needed .....

Hi All,

I have severe keratitus in both of my eyes, my left one especially, and am need of prayer and healing. I also have had acid relux for 20 years and now have developed Barrett's esophagus disease - a precancerous disease. Also, since I was 16, I have battled severe agoraphobia, panic attacks, nervousness and depression, and I need and want to finally be set free !

Wow you have had a tough time of it. I can understand how hard it is i was very ill for three years and it is so hard i did feel like giving up at times. I to suffered from panic attacks and it was my faith in Jesus that helped me. Now when i feel as though panic is rising i pray and ask the Lord to ease my trouble.

Panic attacks can be bought on by illness even so if it is a long illness. The best thing is to 1/ pray and trust the lord is taking care of you 2/ try and allow yourself to only live for today not tommorow or yesterday.3/ Try have people around you explain what is happening to you and when you feel panic attack coming on talk to someone by phone or email or in person this will help ease it. 4/ Try have a comforter strange it might sound but it works when the panic hits use your comforter to sooth you example a blanket or pillow mabey. I have one it helps me.

I cannot really comment on your other problums as im not an expert but im willing to chat or offer support if you need it feel free to pm me anytime.
The lord hears our call trust and belive he will answer you.
