It's actually a sad commentary on Medicine and the government today.
People were always of the belief that the government, at least here in the US, were always seeking the best for the people they served, especially as it pertains to the area of medicine. Though it may not always be the case.

Sadly, it is now looked upon as another method of getting power/riches and not looking to improve anyone that doesn't first benefit themselves.
So, too often even in those who realize this, they are more willing to choose the devil they know then the one they don't. Fear being the main motivator.

That is why my hope is in Christ, and I'll turn to Him no matter what. For if He wants me here there is nothing that man can do that will shorten my time, while if He is desirous of me coming home, then there is nothing that man can do that will lengthen my life here on earth.

The flu shot gives you a strain of the flu that helps your body build an immunity to the flu strain should you get it.
No so for the COVID Shots/Boosters. What they are supposed to do is help your body fight the worst of the symptoms should you get it and no way prevents you from actually getting it.
So, the next shots coming down the road minus the flu shot, that you are going to take won't make you any more or less vulnerable to actually getting the virus just how much effect the symptoms will have on you when you do.

However, everyone must make their own choices/decisions as far as taking them.

Pray it all works out well for you!

Understood. I know I can still get covid but I will be less sick. That is fine.
So I do not understand why some people refuse to obtain that advantage too?
Once you become infected, it is a lottery how bad it can be. I do not want to be in intensive care fighting to live. I can cope with a few days illness instead.

Dear Sister,
I guess many people don't trust the side effects of the shots themselves over getting infected.
A decision as a believer that should be done with careful consideration of both sides, and foremost prayer.

Most of the links I provide are from the only sources you follow.
The info is there. You are free to make your choice but to state what millions around the world have learned as true is "heresay" or other absurd statements is absurd.

My comment is not a label on the entire group of people in science and medical profession. I am addressing her blind faith in men because her trust implies that medical professionals are always reliable. History shows that they aren’t.

When under pressure and direction from authorities, medical professionals are capable of inventing and dosing out harmful substances to the masses. That is how biological warfare came about in WW2. Under the threat of losing reputation and social status, the same group of professionals are capable of hiding the truth and promoting lies even if that harms the public good.

She does not seem to know or acknowledge that. So I remind her with Jeremiah 17 that those who put their faith in men are cursed.

Did you forget that China implemented law to legalise abortion of children under one child policy? Do you not read many times that laws have been implemented to promote homosexuality as normal in many nations? Laws don’t serve the masses, they are implemented to serve the interests of those in power, and stabilising society via so called beneficial laws is also for the sake of those in power. They need a functioning and compliant society to stay in power and to make society work. Laws can be corrupted or violated.

Well if I had a chest infection, I wouldn't rely on prayer alone. I would have medical attention and antibiotics as well. God provides brain and common sense.

Who said you only have prayer? Every human being has a built in God given immune system to fend off infections and diseases. But of course you don’t believe in that either. You are addicted to medicine. It is literally your god. I have not taken any medicine the past 5 years and not once have I been hospitalised or even ill to the point of needing medication. Those who do rely on medicine however fall ill again and again, because the medicine they take render their own immune system moot or damaged.

The way you dodge questions about where your faith is, however, shows a lot about the authenticity of it towards God. It’s unfortunate that you believe you are born again with that state of mind.

It is fact that modern medicine has eliminated so much disease and suffering. It is absurd to suggest people should reject it.
I believe in being sensible.
I do not wish to upset you or anyone. Then again I certainly wouldn't ever suggest to anybody that when sick they ought to refuse medical treatment.
I only take medication when needed. I also take care of my diet, exercise and lifestyle. I believe getting recommended vaccines and being hygienic is part of wellbeing. Yes there is risk in vaccines as in everything. But the risk of not being vaccinated is far greater. Proved by the fall in covid infections and deaths after vaccines were introduced.

Do you really think the medical profession ought to stand by and let everyone get sick and many die?
