Jesus is God, God the Son, He was with God in the beginning.
John 1:1-5 (NKJV)
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
Jesus came from Heaven, the promises Messiah, he is not part of the world, His Kingdom is in Heaven.
John 8:23-24 (NKJV)
23 And He said to them, "You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.
24 Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins."
John 18:36 (NKJV)
36 Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here."
When we are born, we are born into the world, the world of sin. As we know the world loves it's own, but once saved we no longer belong to, sin the world and the devil, we belong to God. We are not of this world, we belong to The Kingdom of God, we have been accepted into His family, adopted as God's children. Saved.
John 15:19 (NKJV)
19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, [SAVED] but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
It is interesting to note, God created the heaven(s) and the earth. The planet is also referred to as earth.
'The world' are the people on the planet earth. These fall into two groups, those who belong to 'sin, the world and the devil', and those who belong to God, saved souls. Many people think of the earth as the world, the earth is the planet, the world are the unsaved souls, the saved souls who came to Christ repented of their sins and had then washed away, to be remembered no more, no longer being to the world, we belong to God the Father, through Jesus Christ our Lord. We are on earth, we are wheat amongst the weeds, we are saved so we may help others be saved, we are blessed so that we may share the blessing with others, everything we are given by God is to bring Him Glory.
