Was her original confession of faith genuine? Why are you asking me, I'm not her judge? What I do know is that I gave my life to Jesus as a teen and later I drifted and compromised. Still prayed and went to church but I shunned righteousness and explored sin. Only in the last few years have I tried to turn my life back around and sought the working of the Holy Spirit back in my life.

Please don't write people off, reach out and pray for them. They are struggling, in need, deceived, hurting or just flat and fed up. Why not try to recall someone from your church who you've not seen in a while? Reach out and wish them a happy New Year, invite them round, drop by or out for a coffee?
