Prayer for Pre-mature Baby

I talked again with the Grand Dad and he gave me a little bit more information on what is going on.

First the operation was an Open Heart Surgery.

They've had to keep her on a respirator, which I believe he is interpreting as contributing to her coma like systems. He told me this has happened because she's gotten an infection, which he also says is preventing them from feeding her normally. The one positive is that prior to the surgery the hospital staff was surprised at how big she was. To them babies with heart issues don't have as much weight or grow as much as she had. He said that they are unable to feed her normally so this to me is a positive thing that she has more weight than expected. They told him that they anticipate at least two weeks before positive results will be seen.

I believe we serve a powerful God and healing of this young baby can happen much more quickly!!!!

The baby has taken a turn for the worse. The doctors are talking about having to do a tracheotomy.
Was able to pray with the Grandfather and another brother in Christ which seemed to provide him some peace.

I heard from the Grandfather and he gave me an update on this little one Vanessa Grace.
It seems that partly due to an infection. They had to give the baby morphine to alleviate the pain she was experiencing. She has gotten better, but because of the morphine she has become addicted to it. So they have to slowly decrease the dosage given to her. Anyone who has been addicted to alcohol or drugs. In fact just about anything. Knows what withdrawals does to one. Imagine now a baby. Heart wrenching indeed.

They have also had to start force feeding her, because of all the tubes they had to put down her throat. She reacts adversely to anything being put in her mouth and won't swallow.

However, not everything is bad news! God is merciful and there is good news to be heard. The infection is gone and so far no other complications from the heart operation. Truly a blessing which I thank the Lord for.

Dear brother @Br. Bear
Always a joy to hear from you. Sadly, I do not have much to share. I have a sense that things are not going so well. He appears short tempered and reluctant to talk at all. The little I know is purely from observation that is evident from working within the same work center. It appears the child is still in the hospital and that he and his wife continue to visit her.

That Vanessa Grace still lives I pray means that the possibility of a miracle for complete healing may yet happen. The future for this child and family is in the hands of God Almighty and I fall upon his great mercies that it is rejoicing that will abound for them.
