Proving Joseph The Father according to Flesh

@Lacawar

All bases covered "to my knowledge" but they still want to deny Christ came in the flesh.
I need to get on code according to scripture. They deny Christ came in the flesh. That is all there is to it.

Who is the 'they' who want to deny Christ came in the flesh. Jesus Christ Was God in the flesh. "Immanuel" -- God with us.

@Sue D.

I suspect they are the Many and the Many are Legion.

Mar 5:9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.

2Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2Th 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

1 Timothy 3:16 By common confession, the mystery of godliness is great: He appeared in the flesh, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was proclaimed among the nations, was believed in throughout the world, was taken up in glory.
1 Timothy 3:16. God was manifest in the flesh. Kindly explain how it shows the Trinity. - Chicago Bible Students

All praises to FATHER AHAYAH YASHAYAH WA RAACH!

Wanted to add scriptures:
Luke 13:27-28
[27]But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
[28]There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.

@Ivar -- responding to your post #43 -- so the legions are legions of demons?!

@Sue D.

Workers of Iniquity and damnable heresies
------------------------------------------------------------------

2Pe 2:2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
2Pe 2:3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
2Pe 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
2Pe 2:5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
2Pe 2:6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
2Pe 2:7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
2Pe 2:8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds
2Pe 2:9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

1Jn 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
1Jn 4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
1Jn 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

2Jn 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

They are Many and The Many are Legion and The Legion are the spirit of the Antichrist because they are Also Many.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

John the Baptist in our current day may refer to them as generation of vipers

Luk 3:7 Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

@Sue D.
You appear to just want me to answer plainly without scripture or protection.:crying:
If that is the case my sister and kinswoman who I hope have not disowned me knows
Pro 7:4 Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding thy kinswoman:

Out of Love :love:; is this proverb not rightfully written?

Pro 31:3 Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Joh 10:24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.
Joh 10:25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mat 10:16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
Mat 10:17 But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;
Mat 10:18 And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.
Mat 10:19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.
Mat 10:20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.
Mat 10:21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.
Mat 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

@ IVAR -- well -- looks like you've covered every bit of Scripture possible on the subject of the father of Jesus.

LEGALLY -- Joseph was the Jewish father of Jesus and Mary was His mother. That was Jewish law for inheritance,. Joseph and Mary were acknowledged as the parents.

HOWEVER -- Scripture Also points out that Mary did NOT become pregnant by Joseph. Joseph was NOT the biological father of Jesus. Scripture points out that the Holy Spirit came upon Mary and she conceived That way. Supernaturally.
Thus, Mary was a virgin when she conceived -- 1st and only time in the history of man that That would ever happen. Mary Ceased to be a virgin only after she and Joseph got together After Jesus was born.

And Thus, Jesus Christ Could be the Savior of mankind. IF Joseph had been the biological father, Jesus would have been born a Jewish boy just like any other Jewish boy at that time in history. And in That case -- the death of Jesus would have meant Nothing and He would not have risen from the dead on the 3rd day.

@Sue D.

No scripture can make you see that Joseph is the father according to the flesh under the law at this time it seems.

However fair not perhaps someone waters the seed someday.

Also

1Co 3:7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. :smile:

Luk 18:19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God. :love:

@Christ4Ever
I have not created. Here it is below however only verses. Discernment best for inner circles. There is a lot of hidden information however scriptures provide relief. Strategically divided into seven parts.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Luke’s account of Messiah from Luk 1:26

Luk 1:26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
Luk 1:27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.
skipping verses to 28 thru 29

Luk 1:30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
Luk 1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
Luk 1:32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
Luk 1:33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
Luk 1:34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
Luk 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

2. Matthew’s account concerning Birth of Messiah from Mat 1:18

Mat 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
Mat 1:19
Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.
Mat 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
Mat 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Mat 1:22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
Mat 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

3. Showing Messiah also conceived of seed of David.

Joh 7:42 Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?

Luk 2:1 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.
Luk 2:2 (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)
Luk 2:3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.
Luk 2:4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David

4. Matthew’s account concerning generation/lineage from Mat 1:1

Mat 1:1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
Mat 1:2 Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;
Skipping verses 3 thru 14

Mat 1:15 And Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob;
Mat 1:16
And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

5. Showing why Seed of David is of Joseph

1Co 11:8 For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.

Rev 12:5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

Act 2:22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you,
as ye yourselves also know:

Gal 4:1 Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;
Gal 4:2 But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.
Gal 4:3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:
Gal 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

Heb 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
Heb 2:15
And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
Heb 2:16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
Heb 2:17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

Rom 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

1Co 15:39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.

6. Joseph mentioned as Father of Messiah. Not Step father

6a
Luk 2:41 Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover.
Luk 2:42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast.
Luk 2:43 And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it.
Skipping verses 44 thru 47

Luk 2:48 And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.
Luk 2:49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?
Luk 2:50 And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them.
-----------------------------------
6b

John 1:43 The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me.
John 1:44 Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.
John 1:45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.
---------------------------------
6c

Luk 4:16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
Skipping verses 17 thru 21

Luk 4:22
And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son?
---------------------------------
6d
John 6:41 The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven.
John 6:42 And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven?

7. Ending with Following verses

Ecc 11:5 As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.

Rom 1:3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
Rom 1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

1Jn 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

2Jn 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Few things not covered because aware of 1Co 1:25 and to emulate Pro 17:27 plus still accumulating.

Hello @Ivar
Did I say you created something in my last post? :-)
You might be attributing something to the word "gleaned" not intended. It was meant to reflect your compilations from this and the other thread having been "chosen, selected, extracted", as you have felt moved to best defend your position and in no way meant to mean some sort of "creation" on your part.

A few different verses, but nothing new as it pertains to the theme/subject matter at hand. I do appreciate the effort on your part in compiling them.

I'm going to have to create a timeline of verses taken from the Gospels that you have used and which detail/surround the Birth of Jesus. Might be most useful to see the chronology of events by the verses used.

Ecc 11:5 As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Mary referred to Joseph as Christ father; When Christ said he was about his Fathers business they did not know what he was talking about.

Since Joseph was with Mary, and you are assuming he knew what Jesus was doing since Jesus said he was about doing his father's business, how is it that Mary was worrying about where her son was if Joseph knew? But they both pondered what Jesus was saying as Luke 2:50 testified that even Joseph did not understand what Jesus was talking about. Therefore Mary was NOT referring to Joseph as Christ's Father ANYWHERE in that passage; Jesus referred to His heavenly Father as God and Him being God also as His Son.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. Joseph lineage “Solomon”; not Mary, Mary lineage of Nathan
See Mat 1:6-16 Joseph lineage ; Luke 3:23-31 Mary lineage

2Sa 7:13 He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3. Philip calls Christ son of Joseph “of whom Moses and prophets wrote about”

Joh 1:45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4. Mary and Holy Spirit not a man however Christ refers to himself as Son of Man

Joh_3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
Joh_8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye
know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak
these things.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5. Man = Type of Flesh;

1Co 15:39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another
flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6. Man = Male/Female; Son of Man = Offspring of Male/Female ;

Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him;
male and female created he them.
Gen 5:2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in
the day when they were created.
Gen 4:25 And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For
God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7. Seed is of and thru Man ;

Gen 38:9 And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother's wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8. Christ is seed of David; According to flesh = offspring of male and female / Seed and Womb
Rom 1:3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9. Christ Had to be made like his people
Heb 2:17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

10. Just Defined: based on or behaving according to what is morally right and fair.

What did Joseph wrongly or immorally do and not willing to make Mary Publick Example?

Mat 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was
espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
Mat 1:19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1Jn 4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is
come in the flesh is of God:
1Jn 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

All mainstream Abrahamic Faiths say not come in the Flesh: Judaism say not come in the Flesh "yet"; Both Muslims and Christians say not come in the flesh. "by denying flesh of Joseph"
Muslims believe that Jesus (called 'Isa in Arabic) was the son of Mary, and was conceived without the intervention of a human father.

The Immaculate Conception is the conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary free from original sin by virtue of the merits of her son Jesus Christ. The Catholic Church teaches that God acted upon Mary in the first moment of her conception keeping her "immaculate".

The Immaculate Conception was and is indeed a Catholic derived false doctrine, but that in no wise mean the virgin birth of Christ is false. You can find scripture that can oppose what you are saying here.

Look at Mary's lineage in how Joseph was "supposed" to be the father of Jesus which indirectly testifies that Joseph was NOT the father of Jesus.

Luke 3:23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,

You have both Matthew's & Luke's account of the angel's visit ; one to Joseph and the other to Mary that Mary was with child before Joseph married her and Joseph was thinking about divorcing her privately until the angel told him otherwise that the child in Mary was conceived by the Holy Ghost and Joseph married her but he did not knew her ( having sex with her as his wife ) until after Jesus was born.

Matthew 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. 19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. 20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. 21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins. 22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, 23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. 24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: 25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Jesus.

Even Mary was paid a visit by the angel that she was to be with child and yet Mary marvelled at this seeing how she knew no man; meaning she was and is a virgin at the time and birth of Jesus Christ.

Luke 1:30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. 31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.....34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? 35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

So you do have scripture proving that you are applying those other scripture wrong to suit that errant teaching in denying the deity of Christ.
