That is one of the hardest things to teach many Christians, that God's Anger is in Love .

All those moments of Gods movements in the Old Testiment . Lots wife , The judgement of Moses for striking the rock 2 x's . Everything is done through Gods Love .

Agree, this is difficult for some. If I have a young child, innocent and defenseless... and someone harms him, physically abuses him, and I know about it.
I have the power to stop it, but I don't. Do I really love that child?

If someone comes up and physically abuses my wife, and I have the power to stop it... I am bigger and stronger, maybe I even have a club or gun.
But I don't stop it, do I really love her?

Sometimes loving someone involves harming someone else. Even if we love that someone else. Even if the person attacking my wife and kids was a friend or relative (brother)
that I loved... I would still have to do something to stop them. Otherwise I'm not really loving my wife, my child... even the one harming them.

God loves His children.

I suppose you could ask yourself , " is it ever ok not to turn the other cheek ? "

If the offender comes to me , attacking me , the choice is then mine to make .

But when the attacker is acting against another, it is completely different.
