SALVATION: GRACE: FAITH

I'd say that's very "accurate" we don't "deserve" salvation but through Jesus and God's grace we are allowed to accept it through accepting Jesus and his works, sincerely and humbling.
Not only that but his completed work, to the point that he was the first and last High Priest to sit down when he was finished!?

Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. 1John 4:15

Do you think that Christ gives grace or does He lobby for it on our behalf? (open to everyone to reply)

Bless you Joefizz ....><>

  • I'd say probably both, for he is God.
  • Jesus was and is: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. John 1:1-3

Well I believe he gives salvation to those who humble themselves and sincerely accept him and his works because many "claim" him by just "saying" they believe but when you can say it or admit it to yourself in "good conscience" then your words "ring true".
This gets me thinking on the "Polar express" the one boy "doesn't believe" and finally "tests" his belief holding a reindeer bell that "he can't hear" due to his "unbelief" but when he "convinces himself earnestly" that he "believes" at last it "rings true for him" and even better as the story goes it "forever rang for him" because he "truly believed".
I like the concept because anyone can "believe" for a time but "genuine belief" is when it's just between you and God/Jesus and you "consider what's true for yourself" and when you "accept" in honest faith it lasts for as long as you live and onward.

yes, there is much in that.

For all those things hath Mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at My word. Isaiah 66:2

The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
Psalm 34:18
