Brother and Sisters I come to you now because of a need of a fellow sister her name is Acuzzort she is a member here at talk Jesus. She is suffering with thoughts of suicide and depression. Please let us rally together in prayer for her and others who are suffering from these problems.

All of us at some point or another have had a battle of thoughts, please lets encourage her and all who are in need of a healing and refreshing of their spirit.

Scripture and words of encouragement are greatly apprciated!

Love in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior
Bobbie

Psalm 46:1
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

You're in my prayers. When everything seems wrong, remember that God is right. He will guide you through your hard times, and onto the right path. He will keep His light shining and never leave. He needs you and love you!

I have struggled with similar thoughts and feelings and still am at the moment, but i pray when things are bad that the next day things will get better and that i am able to continue on and serve the lord as best i can. I am thinking of and praying for our sister in the hope things get better for her and that she has the strength to get through her tough times at present. Be strong and trust in God and focus your heart on the love he has for you.

God, we cry out to you on azzucort's behalf. Please intervene on her behalf, heal her, and restore her to hope. Father, we've all been there (myself included) and your mercy and grace are so, so, very sufficient! All glory to God as you heal our beloved sister, azzucort, in Jesus name, Amen.

thank you. more posts and messages would be appreciated. april cuzzort

Jesus said "The devil comes to kill steal and destroy, I am come that you might have life and have it more abundantly. Jn 10 v 10

Thoughts of death and thoughts of depression do not come from Jesus. Jesus did not come to condemn us, "but that through him the world might be saved" He came to save us, to set us free, to release us from all bondage, to give new life and a Hope of glory.

Lord Jesus I come against all depression and suicidal thoughts within members of 'talkjesus' in the Name of Jesus. I pray dear Lord that all who visit this web-site will know victory in Jesus. Amen

You are both in my prayers. Recently we lost our sister Carrie Irl to suicide, she lost her brave battle with depression. If only your dear friend could imagine the grief and sense of loss of those left behind .Please tell your friend that suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.I pray that she perseveres in trying to deal with her issues while retaining faith in God that He will help her if she turns to Him.No prayer goes unanswered.May God and His angels protect our sister at this time, always and forever.Amen.I will be in church this evening and I promise to raise her up before Almighty God.

Nicholas.

that doesn't help, nothing helps anymore. i've lost everything i have (my self esteem, etc.) i wake up with thoughts wanting to die, i don't mean to sound discouraging to you. april

My best friend and wife is going through depression and had similar thoughts as yours. She is talking to a Godly woman who is helping her during this tough walk.

Do you have someone you can trust in your church some one you can talk to about this? God never intended for us to walk alone and I'm glad we are here for you but having some one close by you can count on and trust would be priceless.

Dear Father please help my sister April during her trials. The enemy of our souls wants to see us destroyed but we rebuke him in the name of Jesus. Please keep your precious daughter under you mighty shadow and let her feel you Love, peace and Joy. Please bring forth a loving, trustworthy and Godly woman besides her to help her in her walk. In the precious name of Jesus.

Listen to advice and accept instruction, and in the end you will be wise.
Proverbs 19:20
Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work:
Ecclesiastes 4:9

Hey April,
continue to pray for you and trust that God is revealing himself to you in woundrous ways.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not in your own understanding" Proverbs 3:5

The Scripture that came to mind when I read JLU's post is:

"No temptation (trial) has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful. He will not let you be tempted (tested) beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted (tested), he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it." (1 Cor 10:13).

Hang in there with God. He is not going to drop you.

I feel for you April- life is not always easy and I know what it is like to be depressed and feel there is no hope and no way out. I don't what your situation is so it is hard to be specific with advice. I will pray for you, and I pray you press on through your sadness and look to the Lord for the comfort you need. I have had a trying time myself in the last month and cryed more than anything else but I am still here dealing with it and working through my struggles. What is it that has caused you to feel this way or sets it off if you don't mind me asking? You can PM me if you want- sometimes we are so busy adding up our troubles we forget to count our blessings.
You should never let adversity get you down- except on your knees.
Is any of you in trouble? he should pray.... James 5:13
I hope God touches you and lifts your spirits, as I said I will pray for you, nothing is worth giving up the Kingdom of Heaven.
Michell

thank you, continue to pray

today sept 10, something great happened at church this morning. i felt God lift the depression and suicide thoughts from me. thurs (9-7-06) i got a new med, prozac but i had only been taking it for 3 days and during that time i had been so sick from it so today i decided not to take it and i felt great. they say the med last 24hrs so i took it on saturday morning at 7am and when church started it was 10:30am so i knew the med had worn off. what hapened was Jesus and completely me, no drugs. i feel my suicidal thoughts are gone for good but still continue to pray for me because from what my pastor preached this morning it was a serious attack of satan. i don't want to go back on the meds, pray i continue to get stronger and live without meds. i won't tell my psychologist or the nurse practitioner or my husband for awhile so they will think i'm still taking the meds which i'm not now. april cuzzort

I am delighted to hear the news sister - it must be God revelaing himself in your life as it takes two to three weeks for Prozac to work effectively - it builds up and yes it is a very effective treatment for anxiety and depression.I will continue to pray with you that your recovery is complete and of course it is your choice as to whom you decide to talk things through with.Just be very careful and may God continue to help you.Sometimes the word of God amplified through our preachers and leaders can suddenly change our lives. You would be amazed at the number of people who attend church but never really, really listen. But when we do listen His words can make all the difference in our lives.God Bless.

Nicholas.

April,

I feel for you greatly. Difficult though it may be to hear, rlowe does make sense in the advice he gives you. I know because when my doctor suggested similar things for me, at the time I felt that he wasn't taking me seriously. I had come to him in desperation as a last resort and to imagine that getting a bit of exercise would help to stop suicidal thoughts/actions seemed completey insufficient and insensitive to me.

It is important that you do not trust the negative thoughts and feelings that you have. I might not be able to explain very well but I will try my best to put it into words.

If you have a hunger so severe that you are starving even delusional, you may not even feel like eating as you have gone past that point but your logical mind tells you that not eating will prolong your suffering. You feel so weak that everything seems imposible but you pray and find the courage from somewhere to take that first step. So you eat eg a grape (this grape is a metaphor for getting some fresh air and exercise maybe). This will not cure your hunger alone, so you have a few peanuts (this would be a metaphor for making sure you get a deep sleep which gives your head respite). You are still hungry and weak so you have some bread (metaphor for eg developing you relationship with Jesus by reading the bible). You confide in trusted people, you watch a funny film, you research your condition, you focus on nutrition and before you realise you are positively altering the chemestry in your brain and bit by bit the spiral starts to go up instead of down.

It sounds too simple and too easy to be true but it does help, it really does.

I know that trapped, helpless feeling and over powering negativity. It is a rocky road we travel and it is very easy to slip but trust me when I say that things will improve. You are in a dark place that is very scary at the moment but you will find your way out, you will be guided by the Lord and people you can trust. Trust that you will get though this and you will. You are not alone and you can do it.

It is easy at the moment to tell yourself that you can't do it, initially doing these positive things will feel very hard and it will feel pointless, useless and you will feel like rotting away somewhere. Your motivation will be at rock bottom but this is when you have to grit your teeth most to get you life back on the right track again. It maybe shear stubborn mindedness that the devil will not win, whatever works for you grab it, crawl with it, walk with it, run with it. Do not listen to the Devil when he tells you, you are not worth it or you are bad in someway. This is not the truth you will come to recognise the signs when you start to say negative things to yourself. You cannot trust any inner voice that tells you negative things.

It's not about telling yourself to be happy it's about making it happen!

'May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.' Romans 15:13

God Bless

Eve
