Would a whole book about Satan be any of these good things?
Who cares what his strategy is,God's strategy is to focus on his word and his promises and be led by the spirit.
We over come evil with good.

The more we know about our adversary and his tactics the better prepared you will be for his attacks. That is also why I tell everyone to get into your Bible, fasting and prayer. Listen to the Holy Spirits leading. He will save your life... if you listen.

Scripture examples of preparing for attacks from the enemy, Satan and demons, are clear enough in context for all believers to take heed.
Jesus identified more than having knowledge of the scriptures, as how he repelled Satan in the wilderness, quoting three scriptures in answer to those temptations.
Some demons won't respond to casting out without fasting and prayer too. Mark 9:25-29 (KJV)
25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.
26 And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.
27 But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.
28 And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?
29 And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

So, there are different "kinds" of demons, requiring different approaches. No scriptures were quoted over that demon. Jesus succeeded with a direct command by benefiting from a habit of much prayer and fasting. From the scriptures I know he stayed "prayed up".
No doubt what to do is something best followed by inspiration from the Holy Spirit, while fasting and praying. I depend upon him to give me wisdom, knowledge and understanding of God's word, but also to be instantly aware of possible 'wiles' of the Devil. My daily goal is to stay prepared to be used by the Lord on short notice.

Ephesians 6:11-13 (KJV)
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

The timing of that is crucial. Soldiers on duty don't run around wearing vacation clothes, but dress for the job before going anywhere. A good friend who served in Afghanistan says he put on a flack jacket just to go anywhere outside the barracks for any reason, every day for 3 years. Photos showing soldiers dining comfortably are media hype. He did that because of learning how other soldiers were injured or killed by a shooter or bomber, while just going to a meal. Sometimes there was wisdom in sleeping in full armor complete with helmet and face mask pulled down. Lacking armor when it's needed can result in no longer standing.

That's why a good field officer contacts Command before altering a plan. Command is collecting intelligence from the whole theater of battle, able to advise the troops how best to proceed.

My summary from the book of The Strategy of Satan by Warren Wiersbe. I highly recommend you buy this book. It is excellent, overwhelming knowledge and insight that you should have in the spiritual warfare we all fight in.

Strategy of Satan

Target: Mind

Reason: it's image of God where He communicates to us and reveals his will for us.

God renews our lives by renewing our minds, and He renews our minds through his truth. This truth is the Word of God.



If it is not true do not let it enter your mind. Your thinking affects your feelings and your willing.



Your mind affects your whole being.

Weapon: Lies

Steps Satan took to deceive Eve:

1. He questioned Gods word (questioned whether God really said what Eve thought he said)
2. He denied Gods word
3. He substituted his own lie "you will be like God"

Eve responded with three mistakes:

1. She took away from Gods word (omitted word "freely"). She made Gods command less gracious
2. She added to Gods word ("or touch it" not found in Gods original command). She made Gods command more grievous
3. She changed Gods word (God did not say "lest you die")

God accomplishes His will through truth.
Satan accomplishes his plans through lies.

But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. (John 16:13)

Counterfeit Christians

I have been on frequent journeys, in dangers from rivers, dangers from robbers, dangers from my countrymen, dangers from the Gentiles, dangers in the city, dangers in the wilderness, dangers on the sea, dangers among false brethren; (2 Corinthians 11:26)​

Counterfeit Gospels

But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! (Galatians 1:8)​

Counterfeit Ministers of the Gospel

No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their deeds. (2 Corinthians 11:14, 15)​

Counterfeit Doctrines

But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, (1 Timothy 4:1)​

Counterfeit Christ

Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. (2 Thessalonians 2:8-10)​

Purpose
To make you ignorant of Gods will
He attacks Gods word because Gods word reveals Gods will.

God wants us to

....know His will

And he said, 'The God of our fathers has appointed you to know His will and to see the Righteous One and to hear an utterance from His mouth. (Acts 22:14)

...understand His will

So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. (Ephesians 5:17)

...understanding His will to fill us and control us

For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, (Colossians 1:9)

IF SATAN CAN MAKE YOU IGNORANT OF GODS WILL HE CAN ROB YOU OF ALL THE GLORIOUS BLESSINGS GOD HAS PLANNED FOR YOUR LIFE.

Your Defense

1. Inspired Word of God
2. We must know Gods word
3. We must memorize Gods word
4. We must meditate on Gods word
5. We must use Gods word

Spirit of God will enable you to use the Word of God in the battle against the devil.

Having the "Full Armor of God" is the key for sure. There is no doubt that Jesus mentioned hell a lot, some 46 verses. But my faith tells me to have good cheer because the Devil is defeated, God is exalted and Jesus is coming soon!
