When Jesus talks to us it is the way of the Spirit, a part of you. When you think about the words told to you and see the picures or images in your mind it is more like a 3d conversation with the Lord. The same way he taught in parables. It is a more complete picture and usually shows more detail the things we need to do by his will.

Sometimes I can't determine if the message I'm receiving from the Lord is in my heart, mind, sometimes I just call it my inner being (hehe) though I am fully aware that the spirit is the one directly communicating with God.

Sometimes I consider it a blessing. Most of the time I am extremely frustrated because I don't understand. I can't get quiet enough to hear or see. The other day, during prayer, I saw a burned out forest and heard the words, "this is your life". Immediately I saw a very fast train speed through and out of the forest and heard, "this is the world". I understand that this is true. The similarity has meaning to me. Is there another purpose for the vision?? I don't know... I know God talks to us in many ways. I just yearn for the direct communication, "the still, small, voice".

The very thing I do always when receiving a direct Word from the Lord and or vision while on prayer is to write them down on my journal. Later on I would run to see my Bible and locate the messages God gave me. I find it very amazing cause the very Words spoken and the visions (i mean symbols) are right there.
Through the Bible and by the help of some colleagues who are matured in their Christian Life, I was helped to gain knowledge and understanding about the message God is trying to give me. Amen
There is a vision I can't forget one time in my prayer time. While I am praying, I saw myself in a plow up field. The furrows are made of fire and I see Jesus at the other end. Then He is calling me to come to Him but I am seeing the furrows of fire and I don't know how to come to Him without being touched by the fires. Again I hear Jesus say "Come, the fires will not harm you"
The following month after the vision I got a relational problem with my sister and before the year ended (2005) we almost resolved our problem to declare to our colleagues in the church, to our relatives and our parents and siblings that we are now ending our relationship as sisters and we are now both considering each other as an ordinary person. We almost agreed to do Christmas time but not at new year's eve at home.
I sense in my spirit that what we are about to do is not God's will and that would dishonor His name in our lives, so I have asked for a sign to the Lord while talking to her. I asked her if she would agree to go home with me new year's eve and we would declare our decision to our family. She didn't agree. So I told her, what we're about to do is not the will of God to us. I heard God in my spirit saying that if I gonna do that thing, He will curse me. And I asked Him why only me? "it is because i am my sister's keeper. hehe" that's it. I haven't validated that word yet in the Bible until now (God giving a curse in such action?) but I am very terrified, so I tried to find out the problem with us. It has just started with a very simple thing of which I am not even aware of. She cited an occasion when I left her behind and that's where our problem began. I said, "I'm sorry if I did that". That moment, opened the way to resolve even our hidden issues when it comes to our relationship as elder - younger sister in the family. God healed us both that day! We went home new year's eve of 2005 happy and reconciled. Since then 'til now we never fought again especially her fighting me. hehehe
For God's glory, my relationship with my sister has been better now. Amen! She's more open to me now unlike before, perhaps this is because I am lending my ears to her now a days... hehehe. And same also with me to her. We have become best friends to each other! Amen

Yea bro, you are right! There's a purpose for every experience you have with the Lord, that is to enrich you with Him that you might be also a channel of blessing to many, becoming a vessel of honor for God as you let the Lord mold you the person He wants you to be.
