Talk to God

Jesus said to me: "Read my Word" at first I didn't think anything of it, but he kept saying it over and over.

That is awesome bro!

Yeah man... I can totally relate
One day I was praying to God, and I told Him "I just want to know you more"
He answered me, and said, "Know My Word"

Which is basically the same thing He said to you. Once again... He spoke to me in 3 words. And He also spoke to you in 3 words. How cool is that!!!

then again this morning I was smoking (yes I still smoke cigarettes) and I said Lord, I don't want to smoke anymore. He again spoke to me "Then don't." It was so awesome, he is talking to me like a regular person. I Love it.

Talk to God, this is prayer. Listen to God, this is hearing his Word that he speaks unto you through the Holy Spirit that illuminates his Holy Scriptures. Jesus said that the comforter would bring to mind all that he had said plus guide us into all truth. This communion with God should not be confused with our interaction with the spirit world around us. Many spirits want to masquerade as Gods Holy Spirit so that they may receive your worship as God. They deceive you. Be ye not deceived, a mans imagination is wicked from his youth. Spirits thrive on this imagination to guide you to where they want you to be. Everything that is manifested in your life that is based upon their leading is an act of worship unto them. They are manifesting themselves in the world. Remember what was written, greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. Spirits taking up residence inside of people, first as a co-pilot to 'help' you get by but in the end the goal is always to be your 'god'. Total Possession. Everybody wants a friend. Everybody wants to know God and be accepted of him but the only way this is possible is to purify ones self of the sin that separates us from God in the form of a veil over our hearts.

Love, Joy and peace in the Holy Spirit,

Gary

Are you saying our imagination is evil? So me using my imagination to write the stories that I do, is evil? I'm asking so I understand what you are saying, gdemoss.

Are you saying our imagination is evil?

No, God has said, I just repeat what I have read and understood. Gen 8:21 The imagination of our hearts is wicked from our youth.

So me using my imagination to write the stories that I do, is evil?

I have often pondered this very question Giggles. What I understand is that Satan uses the imagination to add to or subtract from Gods word and therefore mislead us.

I don't know about your stories. I have not read them. If I, through the spirits of knowledge, wisdom and understanding that are before the throne of God, were given discernment then I could judge the matter. Else, I would be only judging though my own eyes and not judging righteous judgment.

There may be a difference between the imagination of the hearts of men and what you speak of in writing stories. How does what you write glorify God? Can others see and give glory unto God with understanding through your work? How else can we test things here in our temporal realm? Is there any influence from Satan that can be found in the work that would pervert the ways of God?

I do not know. Judge for yourself.

I'm asking so I understand what you are saying, gdemoss.

Thank you for not assuming. I hope there is some clarity given here.

Gary

This is true, but how do we define which spirits are bad? I pray to the Lord Jesus, not to a spirit, I ask his forgiveness and try to follow the path he wants and guides me daily. We are all sinners, but in your message it seems like there are bad spirits in everyone. We all have free will, but controlling it is why we pray to Jesus and read his word. I don't want to be possessed by a demon. When I asked and still ask Jesus to forgive me of my sins, I repent and I believe by faith he forgives me.

I have not been working very long in the spiritual realm with this understanding. God is revealing this truth to me as I grow in him. I myself have had difficulty in identifying the evil from the good as they transform themselves into the ministers of righteousness. Yesterday, I had to go back, with the help of a brother here, and confess that teaching I received from the other realm was indeed false even though it was preaching about righteousness. I praise God for sending Peace Seeker with the message of truth!

Answer, fear is good and we should fear that these things can happen to us, as it causes us to draw nigh unto God through Christ. We bring our petitions to him, asking him to protect us as we cannot protect ourselves adequately. Asking for him to remove any blindness that keeps us in the dark without understanding of what is happening to us.

The key: We can resist any devil and he will flee from us. We must only be able to identify him (or them). (Jas 1). All spirits must be received including the Holy Spirit. Remember Eve. She received Satan and therefore acted in accordance with his wishes as his wishes became her own. Deception is how they get you. They insist they are something they are not.

Peace be upon you, Don't forget to ask for the filling of the Holy Spirit of God to protect you. As we know how to give good gifts unto our children how much more he gives the spirit to all who ask of him.

In Christ,

Gary

Little Bewildered

Gary, Though your message does make sense, I believe we all know good from evil. If there is an evil spirit in me, would not know? It would tell me to do or perform actions against God. In the same way you speak of Eve, she knew she was sinning, God advised both her and Adam not to eat the fruit of that tree. In essence, she disobeyed God and knew it was wrong. As Christians we should know right from wrong. We all sin and fall short of the Glory of God, sometimes we catch ourselves prior to sin and try to avoid, other times we jus sin and know it was wrong through Jesus telling us. These are my thoughts. And I do appreciate your insight very much. I am still learning as a new Christian. Saved in 1976, relapsed shortly after and was saved again through repentance to Jesus in 2005, from there I have been hot and cold in my faith, now I want to be true and faithful to Jesus. Need him to guide me daily. You know how you can hear him sometimes in your mind advising you, "Don't do that." I have never really ben filled with the Holy Spirit, though many of my fellow church members have told their experiences. You are more knowledgable than I in speaking of Christ and knowing your Bible, of that I am sure. I enjoy reading your "threads" and your responses to my messages. It helps me with my struggles. Thank you.

Gary, Though your message does make sense, I believe we all know good from evil.

I am here to challenge that belief and give you an alternative perspective of it.

The misunderstood tree: the knowledge of good and evil.

This tree did not contain any knowledge of that which is good or that which is evil. Upon eating the fruit, Adam and Eve did not look down or across at each other and say "utoh" were naked as if they had not been able to see that fact before. Adam had time after time looked upon the naked body of Eve without once flinching. He had no problem with that. Nor was he worried that Eve or God or whoever might see his own nakedness. What changed was their 'eyes', the eyes of understanding, were opened. Instead of being the children of God, they became like God and therefore little gods themselves. Their first declaration what "Being naked is BAD!!! EVIL". But if you think about it God had created them naked and said everything was 'very good'. Although they now had the ability to discern 'good' and 'evil' it was only based upon there own faulty logic and not the actual truth.

Beware of any ability that you think you might have to discern good from evil outside of understanding given to you by God through his word or through direct revelation from him.

If there is an evil spirit in me, would not know? It would tell me to do or perform actions against God. In the same way you speak of Eve, she knew she was sinning, God advised both her and Adam not to eat the fruit of that tree. In essence, she disobeyed God and knew it was wrong.

I had been guided by evil spirits my whole life and was none the wiser. They came in and took up residence and subtly began to guide me by slowly filling my heart full of thoughts that were wrong. Devils are smart, they don't walk in and say "Go burn your bible!". Instead they suggest that God didn't really mean what that text appears to say. It is this form of slyness allows them to ease their way in over time to move you to do that which is evil. Seeds that are planted, watered then sprung up on you as an ugly overgrowth.

By the way the bible says Eve was deceived into eating the fruit. Although she once understood it to be wrong, Satan used certain weaknesses to cause her to doubt the truth. He confused her and when she ate she wasn't so certain it was the wrong thing to do.

As Christians we should know right from wrong.

Amen.

We all sin and fall short of the Glory of God, sometimes we catch ourselves prior to sin and try to avoid, other times we jus sin and know it was wrong through Jesus telling us.

I must avoid debate that is easily drawn about when discussing the above mentioned things. Let me just say for now that I understand why you think this is true. I won't address these types of issues in the forum publicly as it just brings about more ungodliness. I always welcome PM's.

Thank you Gary, I believe I am understanding as I read your reply. it makes sense in a few parts of my life. I won't share here, but there are times when I commit sin and think it is okay, little and big things, but somewhere in my mind, I realize it was wrong and ungodly. In essence your message makes much more sense to me now.

Hi Giggles4 God, If I may ask, what kind of stories do you write? Are you a journalist?

Blessings in Christ

Sounds very intesting. And you are working for Jesus in your books and stories. Published Author? If so, are any of your books available in Barnes & Noble or Christian Book Stores? I would love to read one.

Lords Blessings to you,

I'm not published yet. That's a goal of mine though. I did however post my story called "A Star Named Aurora" on here in the stories section.

You will be published, of that you can be sure dear. Sounds like you are ministering for Jesus through your talents as a writer. Each of us has a talent from God to spread the word and works of Jesus. Your's is journalism. When you post your "A Star Named Aurora, please advise me so I can read it. The Title is what captures someone to read the story.

Through your writings you may bring more people to become Christians. I believe that is our mission in life. Try to be like disciples for Jesus and continue his message.

May God's Blessings be with you,

Good Morning Plusfactor:

It will come, when you fully accept God the Holy Spirit will speak to you daily. From the simple to the complex answers will come. You ask in prayer and or just voice a thought and the next time it enters your mind the answer will be there.

The Spirit is a guide at all times. He deals with our stubborn nature constantly. He is the teacher.

Want an example??

Times are tuff right now, I am trying to build a new business and money is tight. A customer overpaid me by several hundred dollars by mistake and I let it lay on my desk for two days, should I or should I not, you see how we as humans are, we are tempted all the time.

God hammered me three times a day, Kit you behave, you do what is right, are you listening to me, you better listen.

I listened and this morning took the overpayment off another invoice and explained why to the customer.

Temptation comes to us all in one form or the other, but God will teach us, if we allow it. All we have to do is listen.
