God gave us a mind to reason and to understand. And there are many who are prophets that have come through the years. I think our biggest failure is the lack of being able to comprehend the gift of discernment. Because we utterly fail to really grasp when God is speaking through others and throw those pearls into the mud. And we use our so-called Christianity or the claim of being Christian as an excuse to continue throwing the pearls into the mud the pearls that God gives us

God gave His sheep the discernment to hear His voice, and to not hear a strangers voice. In this way His sheep will not be led astray by the false doctrines and false beliefs of men.
