The baptism in Fire

I've found quite often in Christiandom a tendency to diminish baptism because of the "Faith Alone" doctrine. Yet, when pressed people can't seem to show where this "other" baptism occurs.

Can you show me that from Scripture?

Paul explains the baptism into Christ here in Colossians 2:10-13.

It is the operation of God, no water involved. It's a spiritual baptism into Christ.

"And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;"

Here's a news flash. The baptism into Christ is the circumcision made without hands! The circumcision of the heart just as Jeremiah said.

This explains what happens when one comes to Christ. How does one come to Christ?

If you want to get into water baptism, study Joshua chapters 3 and 4
Also make a study of the 12 stones

This explains what happens when one comes to Christ. How does one come to Christ?

You claim to be born again and you ask me how does one come to Christ?

I guess you're referring to Acts 2:38, making the mistake of believing water baptism forgives sins?

I disagree with some of what you've written here. I see what you're saying, however, I don't necessarily agree. John said that to the Jews. Jesus was sent to the Jews. He was going to purge Israel. Some would believe, some wouldn't. Remember, He said He was sent to turn Father against son.

Luke 12:49–53 (KJV 1900): 49 I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled? 50 But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished! 51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division: 52 For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. 53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

He came purge Israel. The believers would be baptized with the Holy Spirit. The unbelievers would be baptized with fire.
No baptism is not a punishment, baptism is like a stream bringing us along, for a ride to heaven.

There in heaven all is light, There all is Gods light

His white fire is very condensed and feels amazing to be baptized in

I do not quite understand the need to guess all the time
Do you not understand that guessing wildly is dangerous for you
at least if you blaspheme the Holy Spirit

You should not call the Holy baptism that Jesus came with, that
made John the baptise say He was not worthy to tie the sandals of Jesus
You should not call that baptism satans hell

I tell you the baptism of Jesus Christ will lead you straight to our Father
in heaven:

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

There all is His white light, the landscapes are white light, the angelsa are, and Jesus on His throne
and the children playing, all there is white, so is the fire.

If you do not mind Lentz, kindly tell me how you knew this:

"Baptism of/by/with fire,is the work of the Holy Spirit sealing you by purging you of your sins."

'I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance:
but He that cometh after me is mightier than I,
whose shoes I am not worthy to bear:
He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost,
and with fire:
Whose fan is in His hand, and He will throughly purge His floor,
and gather His wheat into the garner;
but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.'
(Mat 3:11-12)

Hello there,

John the Baptist, referring to the Lord Jesus Christ, in Mat. 3:12, says, 'He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost'. This is emphatic, meaning Christ Himself and no other. This refers to the outpouring of power from on high on the day of Pentecost.

'And, being assembled together with them,
commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem,
but wait for the promise of the Father,
which, saith He, ye have heard of Me.
For John truly baptized with water;
but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost
not many days hence.'
(Act 1:4-5)

The reference to 'fire', in Mat. 3:11, is symbolic (see Mal. 3:1-4, 4:1), and is a figure of speech meaning ( yea, with a burning [or purifying] spirit too, separating the chaff from the wheat ) but in verse 12, 'unquenchable fire', is literal, for destroying and not for purging, referring to the fires of judgment at the end of the age.

Thank you
In Christ Jesus
Chris

The baptism of fire, is performed in the second heaven by God Himself. It is done in what is like a basin before those Who are too holy to mention, they have been called, angels with rolling eyes, or rather:

12Their entire bodies, including their backs, hands, and wings, were full of eyes all around, as were their four wheels. 13I heard the wheels being called “the whirling wheels.”…

The fire is the white fire of God, there is no yellow orange or red there. There, there is only the white light of Father. The white fire seem like condensed Holy Spirit.

Like the beautiful scent of a flower of the heavenly meadow, seem like the spirit of the flower, it will lead you to the flower, it will speak of the flower, and is One with the flower.

So is Gods One Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Gods One Light. The white light. The Spirit will lead us to His light that is in Heaven, where our Father is.

Thus Jesus who will perform the will of God, in harmony with the Holy Spirit will tell you this:

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. 7If you had known Me, you would know My Father as well. From now on you do know Him and have seen Him.”…

We that have been baptized in the white fire of God will be allowed by God to sit on Jesus left and right side, on each of the thrones beside the throne of Jesus in the third heaven:

36“What do you want Me to do for you?” He inquired. 37 They answered, “Grant that one of us may sit at Your right hand and the other at Your left in Your glory.” 38“You do not know what you are asking,” Jesus replied. “Can you drink the cup I will drink, or be baptized with the baptism I will undergo?”…

The baptism of fire is mentioned here:

10The axe lies ready at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire. 11I baptize you with water for repentance, but after me will come One more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.

Do not believe those who say the dead can go to heaven: 26But concerning the dead rising, have you not read about the burning bush in the Book of Moses, how God told him, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? 27He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You are badly mistaken!”

And since false rumors has been spread by false teachers about it, here it is again: 2I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of it I do not know, but God knows

The baptism in the Spirit, is thus the scent that may lead you to the Flower, which is the Light of God, the White fire of God, the Light of God is in heaven, Where Hi light is, Heaven is.
The baptism in fire is, the Baptism of The Holy Ghost, which is evidenced by the sign of Speaking in Tongues. John prophesied about the baptism in fire and it was fulfilled (and continuing to be fulfilled, to all those who desire it) in Acts 2:1-4

Matthew 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
Acts Chapter 2
1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it
filled all the house where they were sitting.

3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of
fire, and it sat upon each of them.

4 And they were all
filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off,
even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

God is still calling people today to accept this baptism, with evidence of Speaking in Tongues, by faith to all those who seek for it.

I wasn't referring to anything. I was simply asking you a question. I'm trying to figure out how you understand that Romans 6 is a "spiritual" baptism. I don't see any such thing in Romans 6 so I'm trying to understand how you do. It is in the text? Or, is it a presupposition that you're bringing to the text?

It is not symbolic, there is a fire both in heaven and in hell, I have seen them both. the one in heaven is white, the one in hell is red orange and yellow.

Here is a sample of the white light of heaven: 2Suddenly there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, rolled away the stone, and sat on it. 3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. 4The guards trembled in fear of him and became like dead men.…

Here I found the fire of heaven mentioned:

6And again, when God brings His firstborn into the world, He says: “Let all God’s angels worship Him.” 7Now about the angels He says: “He makes His angels winds, His servants flames of fire.”

As you should hear from that quote the fire of the Kingdom is very Holy.

Also the baptism in fire.

So I warn you again, remember Jesus warning:

30He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters. 31Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. 32Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the one to come.…

These are no ordinary matters.

Noone on Earth brings new revelation, that isn't already revealed through the Word of God (Jesus Christ), which is fullest revelation given to man. Through the moving and operation of the Holy Ghost, I Pray what we say here (with Scriptural backing) brings the truth of these Revelations, truth by truth, or precept upon precept, to the heart of the hearer. Lay what we say before the feet of Jesus (Word of God) and compare, the Bible is Always truth, so if they don't match, we need to reevaluate our stance. What we say or do here will have lasting impact upon the believer and sinner alike. We most certainly have freedom of speech, but any true christian will weigh what they say against the Word of God and if they don't agree God is not in error, and we need to pray for understanding. Those that have more meat of the Word can help those who are struggling, if done with humility, peace and love. I don't mind a peaceful debate, but when we start to argue amongst each other that is not the Spirit of God. God Bless and Peace to you all. (This signature is in general and not pointing fingers at anyone at anytime. God Bless.)

Yeah. What you posted explains what happens after one comes to Christ. It doesn't explain how one comes to Christ.

I don't see anything there that indicates the Romans 6 is a "spiritual" baptism. Could it be that you're reading that into the text?

The Bible specifically says "Repent and Baptized" for the remission of sins, according to the very Scripture you quoted it takes both repentance and baptism.

Notice "buried with him by/in baptism" in these 2 verses from Paul.

Rom. 6:4
"Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."

Colossians 2:12
"Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead."

So we know Paul is talking about the exact same thing here, right?

In Rom. 6 Paul is making us aware that being baptized into Christ, we are being baptized into His death, buried with Him in baptism.

In Col. 2 Paul is explaining how we are baptized into Christ, buried with Him in baptism. He gives more detail here than in Rom. 6.

First notice that Paul is speaking of "buried with Him in baptism" in other words, "immersed in Him" not water.

The Scripture refers to water baptism as "baptized in the name of the Lord" this is not what Paul is discussing here.

He is telling us in Col. 2: 11 this is "the circumcision of Christ, buried with Him in baptism." This is the circumcision made without hands."

vs. 12, it is an operation by God. Not a physical operation as in the circumcision of removing the foreskin from the male sex organ, but spiritually removing the foreskin of the heart.

This is not a physical act in any means, it is purely spiritual.

Paul is referring to Jeremiah 4:4,

"Circumcise yourselves to the Lord, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings."

Taking away the foreskin of the heart is done by being spiritually buried with Him in baptism., the operation of God.

Taking away the foreskin of the heart is done by being spiritually buried with Him in baptism., the operation of God.

When you accepted Christ as your Saviour, God automatically performed a spiritual operation on your heart, He removed the foreskin of your heart.

That operation included, being nailed on that Cross with Christ, dying with Him, and being raised from the dead as He was.

That is the baptism into Christ. It's your salvation in the spiritual realm.

Water baptism is the physical evidence of this spiritual salvation that took place in the heart.

You are dead with Christ in the water, lowered into the water, buried with Him in His death, raised out of the water in a newness of life, being resurrected from the dead.

The salvation is in the spiritual baptism, the evidence of your faith in being saved is demonstrated by the physical act of water baptism, calling on the name of lord.

Do you understand this? If not, I can explain it another way.

Notice "buried with him by/in baptism" in these 2 verses from Paul.

Rom. 6:4
"Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."

You changed the wording. Paul said buried "with" Him in baptism. He didn't say buried "in" Him. You're saying buried with Him is being buried in Him. That's not what Paul said.

Also, what is your basis for claiming that this is a "spiritual" baptism? Nothing you posted here says it's a spiritual baptism. Sure, there's a spiritual act in water baptism. Peter makes that clear. However, that is a water baptism. Nothing you've expressed so far precludes Romans 6 from being water baptism.
