The "Young Earth" timeline.

which is derived from a literal interpretation of the Bible

I agree all of the above is possible. But I did mention taking creation as a literal 6 day event. If you subscribe to the gap theory between Gen 1:1 and 1:2, then there is no way of knowing.
At best, we could determine the age of mankind on the Earth.

And it also says that God created the earth, and yet it was without form and void, but since the earth HAD been created, there was of course "some" form and not void as in void of "anything". So form and void, perhaps mean something a bit different than what we consider to be without form and void. Perhaps (a guess only and could be wholly wrong) not formed with the requirements for man, not made in its fullness, and the void perhaps void of humans and the creatures that were put here with purpose to interact with man and a sustainable environment.
In every instance biblically where "Tohu", and "Bohu" (without form and void) are found, devastation as the result of judgement is the context. there may well be a LOT MORE HISTORY on this dirt ball than we know anything of.

Isa 45:18 For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.

[not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited] This states God’s true purpose in creating the earth. He did not create it in vain (Hebrew: tohuw (H8414), empty, waste; desolation; wilderness). If it became tohuw (and was in Gen 1:2; Jer 4:23 is translated "without form")

Lucifer (AKA satan) was created in a place called, "Eden the Garden of God" (Not to be confused with the Garden of Eden which are not the same place)

Eze 28:13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

The earth in which we are now living did NOT exist when Lucifer and all the angels were created. Job tells us that all "the sons of God" shouted for joy when God was laying the foundations of the earth in which we are now living.

God speaking to Job said.....

Job 38:4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
Job 38:5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?
Job 38:6 Where upon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the cornerstone thereof;
Job 38:7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

The sons of God were the angels God had created. We also have the same description of them in the first chapter of Job.

Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.
Job 1:7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

There had to be another Earth where Lucifer and all the angels of God were created and it could NOT have been this earth in which we now live as it did not exist at that time.

1. The world that then was (2Pe 3:6; Gen 1:1-2)
2. The heavens and the earth which are now (2Pe 3:7; Genesis 1:3-2:25)
3. The new heavens and new earth (2Pe 3:13; Isa 65:17; Isa 66:22-24; Rev 21-22)

I will have to look for it again but there is some evidence that after christ, the pharisees edited the torah to remove 100 years each from the 5 or 6 generations after the flood, and when you add those years back, the decline of mans lifetimes is much more gradual. It also puts the flood 600 years prior and removes the weird possibility that noahs son met abraham and is melchesidek.

The reason for this is to make some prophesy I cant remember no longer point to christ.

Many say this isnt possible but the oldest fragments of the torah are post christ.

there is some evidence that after christ, the pharisees edited the torah

Gen 6:3; Then the LORD said, "My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; nevertheless his days shall be one hundred and twenty years."

Isa 40:8; The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.

1Pet 1:25; BUT THE WORD OF THE LORD ENDURES FOREVER." And this is the word which was preached to you.

Why do you think they are different?
"Eden the garden of God" is where Lucifer was created.

"Eden the Garden of God" no longer existed when God was laying the foundations of this earth in which we are now living, as the Angels of God were shouting for joy as they watched God form our earth (Job 38:4-7). Lucifer was already a created being before God formed the earth we now live on..

Job 38:4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
Job 38:5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?
Job 38:6 Where upon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the cornerstone thereof;
Job 38:7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

days shall be one hundred and twenty years."
Lots of folks lived longer than that after the flood.

The 6000 year 120 jubilee year cycle (after the flood) may be in effect. Which means christ may return around 3500ad? We wont live to test that theory.

Moving the flood back 500 or 600 years makes it more obvious that Christ came at the appointed time according to certain interpretations, and destroys the following idea: That if God had a 6000 year plan to deal with sin (as many believed in Jesus time) then the second coming is around 2030-2035. (Which i do not believe will happen for hundreds of reasons)

The idea that the flood occured 500 years prior to our current litteral interpretation makes certain prophesies easier to interpret which help explain why Jesus rebuked the pharisees for not knowing the time: meaning it was blatantly obvious. Remember the story of the 3 kings from the east? We dont even know who they are or how they figured it out

Now that being said, i have no dog in this fight other than as i become more shrewd and i let nothing surprise me, i tend to make better more accurate choices and interpretations prove to be true.
