DANIEL
* Through Daniel we see Him as the '
Stone' Who becomes
'the Head of the corner'. Also as '
The Son of Man', and '
Messiah the Prince':-
'Thou sawest till that
a stone was cut out without hands,
which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay,
and brake them to pieces.'
(Dan 2:34)
'
The stone which the builders refused is become
the head stone of the corner.
This is the LORD'S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.'
(Psalm 118:22-23)
'And He shall be for a sanctuary;
but for
a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel,
for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.'
(Isaiah 8:14)
'Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD,
Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation
a stone,
a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation:
he that believeth shall not make haste.'
(Isaiah 28:16)
' Jesus saith unto them,
Did ye never read in the scriptures,
The stone which the builders rejected,
the same is become the head of the corner:
this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? ...
... And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken:
but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.'
(Mat 21:42 & 44)
'Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel,
that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified,
whom God raised from the dead,
even by Him doth this man stand here before you whole.
This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders,
Which is become the head of the corner.
Neither is there salvation in any other:
for there is none other name under heaven given among men,
whereby we must be saved.'
(Acts 4:10-12)
'To Whom coming, as unto
a living stone, disallowed indeed of men,
but chosen of God, and precious, ... ...
... Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture,
Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious:
and he that believeth on Him shall not be confounded.;
(1 Peter 2:4 & 6)
' I saw in the night visions, and, behold,
one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven,
and came to the Ancient of days,
and they brought Him near before Him. ... ... ...
... I came near unto one of them that stood by,
and asked him the truth of all this.
So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things.'
(Daniel 7:13 & 16)
'Know therefore and understand,
that from the going forth of the commandment
to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince
shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks:
the street shall be built again, and the wall,
even in troublous times.'
(Daniel 9:25)
