My point being that Now -- most Everything is being labeled as COVID related. A person rarely hears about all the diseases you listed. Everything has Not really turned into COVID. There Should be all those other causes Plus those due to COVID.

Can you show us what data you are looking at? Has the recorded number of deaths from cancer or heart disease for example dropped significantly in the last 12 months?

The news by definition reports on what is new. If the incidence of death by heart disease remains unchanged, that's not likely to feature on the news.

What's the data? I'd expect flu cases to drop due to less transmission because of lockdown. Same with road traffic accidents. Non-infectious diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and cancer to stay the same.

@Hekuran -- people around this country are getting tired of 'lockdown' -- it's killing the economy -- we still travel -- we still want to be back at work. The 'powers that be' are telling 'us' to lockdown but aren't following through for themselves.

There is no 'correct data'. All we hear are huge numbers of deaths. It's having a very negative effect on our kids and everyone. It's a control issue for 'them' to us. "They" want to take away as much of our freedom as we'll let them.

@Sue D. I see the problems. My three children have missed nearly a whole year of school - isolated from friends and a huge chunk torn from their best years. I've seen my parents once in the last 12 months, I work from home and can easily go whole days seeing no-one. Church is online, which I find does very little for me personally. I miss my friends hugely.

At the same time, I'm grateful that I have a job and an income. None of my immediate family and friends has died.

At the same time our government has shown itself to be incompetent and corrupt - floundering in making tough decisions, last minute changes of mind, empty promises and all too willing to give important contracts to their own unqualified friends. I'm very angry at the behaviour of our leaders.

But this disease is very nasty and it's not going away of its own accord. The reason our countries have done so badly is that we have been half-hearted in taking measures to get it under control. Other countries which have been far bolder and more decisive in taking collective action have largely seen of the threat and gone back to work.

Media pushing out spurious information has done a huge amountof damage too. That's why i am challenging claims being made on this forum.

So we wish it would all just go away. But that's not the reality we are faced with. Too many people have died; many times more could die or have their lives ruined by sickness.

Let's keep loving and protecting each other heart, soul and strength.

Me and my wife had covid19 before it was even recognized as such in early december of 2019. It was like a bad case of the flu for us both, it was going around in the area, within about 200 miles of the atlanta airport where it was probably brought in. At the time it was merely considered a covid like virus that was "unknown" (there is at least 19 of them, perhaps more now, other types have been around some time). But we and others had the "exact" symptoms of covid19, and both of us simply stayed home a few days and mostly recovered. My wife would be in the "high risk" catagory, over 70, breathing problems, and more health issues.... underlying health issues. Parts of it hung on past the few days that the worst of it past. But those symptoms hanging on werent as bad. My wife still hasnt recovered her normal sense of smell. I never had much of a good sense of smell, so that part was not much different. Someone at work got the equivalent of a cold, coughing some, tired and tested positive for covid19. It never got worse but he got off work for a couple weeks at least. Another at work got it, had flu like symptoms, got over it in a couple days, except for some of his ability to smell or taste afterwords. He also got a 2 week vacation because of it. The people that die from it, usually have underlying health issues that may well have succumbed to the flu as well. This is a hyped up disease.

COVID Can be nasty , yes. Depends on a person's immune system. Some procedures that are being highly encouraged are Not helping build up the immune system. Sterilizing everything is Not helping. We need germs to encourage our systems to do their jobs to help prevent illnesses.

The political situation -- well -- that's a whole different subject. Some 'hated' Trump and some of us appreciated his trying to 'drain the swamp'.. And , of course, the swamp doesn't want to be drained. There are those who want open borders -- they Want socialism / communism -- they want to destroy the America that was founded on Godliness. 'They' want the world under one leadership. Control the masses. And that Is what Bible professing tells us is in our future. And -- at some point in the future -- we Will have the world under the reign of Jesus Christ for those 1,000 yrs. Righteous justice.

I was looking back at the title of this thread of conversation --oops -- I thought it was about 'the elect' -- but it's about the vaccine being experimental. Which it is. And it's very controvercial -- it's to be taken for the good of everyone. My thought is that since the virus came from the research labs at Wuhan, China. So any vaccine being manufactured is needing to be questioned. What is the real goal of those pushing it so strongly.

I think the issue here was that early on he directed that those in nursing homes who were sent to hospitals and tested positive for COVID-19 had to be sent back to the nursing homes they came from. These facilities being like petri dishes, had COVID-19 spread like wild fire, and were the cause of the majority of the deaths that occurred statewide. He'd been denying that it was his order, and won't even acknowledge the subject of nursing homes! I watched a couple of his news conferences, and he would insult the reporter who brought the subject up, and he never accepted responsibility for his own directives!

So, maybe some of the deaths could have been attributed to other issues, but clearly the majority were brought upon by COVID-19, which didn't have to be introduced into the facilities they were living in. They should have stayed in the hospitals, but sadly were not.

@Dave M -- free speech is quickly trying to be 'controlled'. If 'it' doesn't benefit the media then it is 'quieted down'. The media is very smart -- they have an agenda and intend to carry it out. And there are people who need to be stopped before they destroy this country. Thing is -- prophesy says that That won't be happening.

@Christ4Ever -- people seem to forget that people in nursing homes -- unless its for rehab of some kind -- usually Do die. Health issues and old age Will 'get' them. When he was being interviewed the other day -- Cuomo's attitude was 'so what' like 'who cares' they died.

About 4 yrs. ago, my Mom was finally in an extended care fascility -- she had so many health issues and had been widowed twice. Two broken hips over about 10 yrs. time -- and then -- the 'last straw' pain in her mid-section -- operated and found stage 4 colon cancer. She was 98 yrs. of age. They were trying to get her up and walking and then she was back at her room -- asked for hospice care and went to bed. She died in her sleep. 11:30 pm Michigan time -- 12:30 am Texas time which is where 'we' live. Now -- translate That to Today -- wonder what her cause of death would have been listed as. ?!

Suspect that some governors probably Won't be re-elected.
