If Jesus is the Word (John 1:14)
Maybe knowing the Bible is how we know Jesus. There is much about Jesus that even isn't in the Bible. (John 21:25)
But everything we need to know is in the Bible.
Does knowing the Bible (therefore Jesus) guarantee salvation?
The demons know who Jesus is. Satan knows the Bible. (Matt 4:6)
Does knowing Jesus can do miracles guarantee it? The Pharisee's saw Jesus heal on the sabbath.
Does knowing Jesus is risen from the dead guarantee it? Satan knows this. (Matt 28:17)
Does knowing Jesus is Lord? (1 Cor 12:3) which also infers the Holy Spirit. But is Luke 11:13 for everyone or only believers?
I spent about 2-3 hours within the Word last night and... it was reveling! I have not read Revilation is almost 10 years and it was as new all over again. The Holy Spirit really reveals scripture PERFECTLY when you read it. THANK YOU. I too believe my brother, I too believe! You have started me on something new, which I need greatly, which is to read more of the Word
Stay in the spirit my brother, stay in the spirit, stay in the spirit I pray (because you ARE in the spirit, and it is Good)..... Amen
Here is a concise and highly revealing extract from the Proceedings of Jesus in the Witness Box. (Matt. 26: 57-68)
QUESTION: "In the name of the living God I now put you on oath: tell us if you are the Messiah, the Son of God."
ANSWER: "So you say. But I tell you: from this time on you will see the Son of Man sitting on the right of the Almighty and coming on the clouds of heaven!"
True to his nature, Jesus replied that he prefers to demonstrate than to testify on his own behalf. Accordingly, he repeated the promise of an imminent and endless vision of his divine identity and absolute authority.
The story line begins on Day 1 of screening of the disciples (John 1: 50-51) goes through several stages of development and ends with his death on the cross (Matt. 27: 50-56).
