I've travelled quite a lot – Europe, America, India, Bangladesh, Caribbean, southern Africa, Malaysia, Korea, Pacific Islands, Myanmar. Only in the USA are there Christians who have so tightly tied their Christian identity to right wing politics that they cannot imagine how a faithful Christian might hold anything but right wing views.

Imagine Moses gaining high office and attempting to implement a bill based on Leviticus 25. How do you think the most prominent politicians and pundits would argue for or against the changes?

The left or liberals as we call them in the US, tend to promote things that are more anti-christian, perhaps they dont as much in those other countries. That is not to say that the right or as we call them conservatives, are without corruption, but if you had to put them both in the balance, the liberals are more like the leaders of Isreal and the conservatives are more like the leaders of Judah. Now God sent prophets to Israel as much as Judah, but those prophets normally spoke badly about both of them, and you seem to speak up on the behalf of the corrupted ones and that we shouldnt even complain about said corruption and sin. The liberals control much of the world media, and they use it to try and keep the truth from being known about many things, like for instance, all the unrest in europe focused against the governments and their liberal policies that have caused alot of harm. You never hear about it on mainstream media.

Don't make your first question or criteria for judgement is it left, is it right? – ask, is it wise, does it promote promote peace, justice? does it lift up the poor and broken-hearted? is it merciful? Does it reflect the values of Jesus and his kingdom?

1Thes. 4 exposes pre-trib deception, fabrication, and perversion.

"For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the "coming/PAROUSIA" - of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep."

For 2,000 years the understanding of PAROUSIA has been...

"The future visible return from heaven of Jesus, to raise the dead, hold the last judgment, and set up formally and gloriously the kingdom of God."

The Parousia happens when Jesus returns VISIBLY - NOT a secret return only "to the clouds," where at the same time he raises the dead - HOLDS THE LAST JUDGMENT - and SETS UP his millennial kingdom.

The only way to make pre-trib work is to CHANGE the timing (and therefore meaning) of the PAROUSIA. Pre-trib says the Parousia occurs 7 years before the 'end of the age' at the PRE-TRB RAPTURE. Pre-tribbers have no choice than to make this change f meaning and timing because in 1Thes. 4:15-17, the Parousia and Harpazo, "CLEARLY OCCUR TOGETHER - AT THE SAME TIME! NOT 7 years apart!

In other rapture passages ANGELS are said to sound trumpets. THE LAST TRUMPET, aka THE TRUMPET OF GOD, aka the one Jesus said, "he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect/Christians from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other." From other passages we know this sounding comes at the prompting of an Archangel.

1 Corinthians 15:52 - In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at -the LAST TRUMP: - for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Matthew 24:31 - And he shall send his angels with a - GREAT SOUND OF A TRUMPET, and they shall gather together his elect/CHRISTIANS - from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

1 Thessalonians 4:16 - For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the TRUMP OF GOD: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Paul said the rapture trumpet is the LAST TRUMP. And in 1 Thes. 4 he said 'at the VOICE OF THE ARCHANGEL - AND JESUS RETURNS WITH THE TRUMP OF GOD. NOT A JEWISH TRUMPET! And Jesus said the gathering occurs at the GREAT SOUND OF A TRUMPET.

Pre-trib is from the other side.

@ samahah -- for one thing there will be no secret rapture. It will be obvious and it's different then the second coming. And there will be a 7 yr.period of time between the rapture and the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ.

And there are various kinds of angels -- there are two archangels that we read about in scripture. Michael and Gabriel.

The trump of God referring to Thessalonians is Christ voice.
Christ does not need angels to call his church out. There were no angels used at the raising of Lazarus.

In Revelation,John hears a voice like a mighty trumpet,he turns to look and it is Christ in all his glory.
