Let us not forget Romans 8:39 "Wether we are high above the sky or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the Love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Whom did Jesus suffer and die for? Just the pastor or just the drunk? I say he died for all because he loved all. Amen. If Jesus' Father (God) only loved those whom "keep my words" then why would Jesus come to "seek and save the lost".
Rom 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? [shall] tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Rom 8:36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Rom 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
Rom 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Rom 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is
in Christ Jesus our Lord.
His love for us is IN Christ Jesus.- Notice none of the things mentioned above say that sin will not seperate us. Jesus told us to abide in Him. Only IN HIM is the love of God towards us. If we are abiding IN HIM nothing of the things mentioned can seperate us. BUT if we do not abide in Him because we walk in sin instead of faith and obedience then we arent abiding where the love of God is.
Jhn 15:1 ¶ I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
Jhn 15:2
Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every [branch] that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
Jhn 15:3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
Jhn 15:4
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
Jhn 15:5 I am the vine, ye [are] the branches:
He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
Jhn 15:6
If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast [them] into the fire, and they are burned.
Jhn 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Jhn 15:8
Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
Jhn 15:9 ¶ As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you:
continue ye in my love.
Jhn 15:10
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
He came to seek that which was lost because those who are saved, were lost because God ordained them but they were not yet found. they are GIVEN to Jesus by God.
Jhn 17:6 ¶ I have manifested thy name unto
the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
Jhn 17:7 Now they have known that all things whatsoever
thou hast given me are of thee.
Jhn 17:8
For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received [them], and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
Jhn 17:9
I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
Jhn 17:10
And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.
Jhn 17:11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name
those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we [are].
Jhn 17:12 While I was with them in the world,
I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
